Take care, Kristen. Life can get so busy sometimes that it becomes easy to neglect your health in the process. Gotta take care of you so that you can keep going!

Amen! I just realize that I haven't been doing my best on the channel trying to keep everything together so I need some rest. I think this short break will do t future videos some good :)

Self care should always come first! :) i hope you are doing well and hope to watch you again in april!
I want to start my own channel like yours. I have started a little but i am camera shy and i struggle to really come up with good topics or tips to upload. What's some advice you have? :)

I am definitely learning about the importance of self care. It would be really cool to have another channel out there helping others with disabilities. I do have some advice I can give. 1. Don't do youtube to boost your self esteem. People ask me that all the time and reality is that people are quicker to tell you when they hate something or something wont work for them than they are to tell you they loved it. So when you are smaller there will be days you hear more negative than positive. So this can't be your motivator. 2. Piggybacking off of #1 Do something you LOVE. Something you would do if no one was watching and you were not getting paid. This will help you continue on as you build your audience and also once you see how little youtube pays if you decide to monetize. 3. Don't over think your video ideas. If you end up doing a channel similar to mine I can not tell you how many times a video I thought was "silly" or "Everyone knows how to do this" is one of my most watched videos. It's baffling lol. 4. Don't buy into the hype that you have to have all the latest and greatest equipment before you can start. This will only lead you farther into debt and be discouraging when your rate of return takes month/years to recoup (take it from someone who knows). 5. Don't let haters/trolls stop you from doing videos. Successful channels have to be both for something and therefore against something which of course will encourage the trolls/haters but these trolls/haters normally boost your channel. Ever heard the saying "good news spreads fast, bad news faster?" Well that's the truth for UA-cam! I think that's all I got for now, the best way to get over the shyness is to start. You can't get better without putting material out there. p.s. here's my first EVER video if you want to look at my craziness LOL ua-cam.com/video/6I_0YbU3dyo/v-deo.html

Just thought of two more things. Stay away from copyrighted material or music. and don't copy someone else's ideas all the time. There used to be a channel that would do the same video I did within a few days as I would do it. It was really annoying. I wouldn't have minded had they given me credit. They stalked my channel so it wasn't coincidence lol. I get inspired by other channels every now and then but I always link that channel/video in the cards. You never know, you could end up doing a collab with that creator down the road :)
