On February 3rd, Bill Van Oije spoke to Helping Parents Heal

Bill Van Oije is just an ordinary guy who has had extraordinary things happen to him because of the passing of his son 6 1/2 years ago. Before his 27-year-old son's passing from the effects of drug abuse, it was all about willpower for Bill, but it turns out it's all about surrender. And once Bill surrendered, the miracles started to pour into his life.
Greg has opened up the Universe for his Dad in so many ways, and he has made it abundantly clear he's still right here. Vivid dreams, messages during waking hours, signs and synchronicities came thick and fast as his son worked overtime in his excitement to share the beautiful place he now calls Home. And it continues to this day.
Bill quickly learned - although he had a hard time believing it sometimes - that although he was one of the most unlikely candidates, he was gifted with abilities to see, hear, and even touch his son and others who have passed before him and to receive messages from the other side that are all about Love and Oneness.
Astral projection, automatic writing, and messages from his guides who call themselves The Ancients are just a few of the beautiful and life-changing events that Bill experiences. He now knows, beyond a shadow of any doubt, that we are Light, we are Love, and we are Eternal. He has been transformed.
Born and raised in Galt, Ontario, Canada, Bill moved out west after university to Calgary, Alberta and met his wife Susan. They have two beautiful children, their daughter Kristin and their son in spirit Greg. While spending winters in Scottsdale, Arizona, it turns out the Canadian snowbirds were at 'Ground Zero' for Helping Parents Heal, something they now know was not a coincidence. They attended Elizabeth Veney Boisson's meetings at the Unity of Phoenix Spiritual Center and Carol Sanna Allen's meetings in Cave Creek, and the first Helping Parents Heal conference.
Now in Canada full time, this Shining Light Dad was nudged by his son in spirit to start the Calgary chapter of Helping Parents Heal. The chapter's Zoom meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month. Bill and Susan are co-affiliate leaders and they are so pleased to offer parents who are suffering with grief the knowledge that our children who have passed are gone in body only, and some day we will see them again.
