It's so great to pass on the art of crochet my great grandmother taught me and I taught my 7 year old niece. She recently completed an infinity scarf and she is so proud of it. Thanks for mentioning her name. I thought it was Evelyn and I got excited because my grandson is the same age. Obviously, I expected her to crochet perhaps a sampler/dish cloth after mum had done the second row (that's fidliest and perhaps so frustrating as to put a young child off).
