    👋 new sub here. I learned to knit and crochet at age 10 thanks to Grandma.
    I have a big yarn stash so I'm hoping to get some new or reminder ideas of things to make up.
    It's a really big yarn stash.

    I love this look! Thanks for not doing the obvious formation of a cowl.

    Lovely. This beautiful simple cowl beats MANY of the cowls for which people are needlessly paying $$ on Ravelry. This one won't collapse and let your neck freeze, won't require a lot of fussing. I make a similar one, knitting. I will definitely crochet one now with a good, neck-soft yarn. Beautiful choice of yarn on this tutorial, THANK YOU, great job.

    To keep it at 40, do you chain an additional one since you sc second from the hook? So since you chained 40, you sc second from the hook, that would keep it 39 continuously for each row for however many rows, correct?

    • @Lynny
      @Lynny 2 роки тому

      And when you're sewing together at the end, could you slip stitch together instead?

    • @AniTugushi
      @AniTugushi  2 роки тому

      exact number doesnt matter. I chaned 40 and sc in next 39. Sure, you can slip stitch at the end

    Hi. For a smaller person, can you chain 30 in the beginning? My daughter is petite and I worry it may not be snug enough for her.

    • @AniTugushi
      @AniTugushi  8 років тому +5

      Hi, first chain is height and by adding rows you add circumference. Measure your daughter's neck circumference and adjust the size. Number of chains and rows doesn't matter for the pattern, you can change it as you want.

    Hi this vid's a few years old now so I don't know if you still have anything to do with it but this such a lovely yet simple cowl I really want to have a go crocheting it. I only have 8 ply wool or worsted weight yarn though and I was wondering if it would work if I just adjust the number of stitches and rows to still make it 40cm x 60cm. I'm just wondering if the thinner wool will make it too tight and stiff. Thanks for the great tute =)

    • @AniTugushi
      @AniTugushi  5 років тому

      Hi, you can make this cowl with any yarn you want. First chain is height and by adding rows you add circumference. Number of chains and rows doesn't matter for the pattern, you can change it as you want. Just mke it 40*60 cm. I like bulky yarn, because it works very quick and texture looks thick, you can make it with worsted weight yarn, it will be thinner but not too tight.
