Yes! A million times yes! I almost got a mod shop guitar before they took away the black painted headstock. Now I'm bummed.
Personally i wish they added some 70s and late 60s strat necks with the big heads cause all they have is 50s style
Maple doesn’t bother me,but Fender,how about some matching headstocks when you do rosewood, or pau ferro?
I played one of these at a local shop and really liked it, but I passed because I didn't realize the humbucker could be split. I even tried pulling the tone knobs up. If I knew, I might have bought it.

Very suprized to look and see a Trogley video before midnight.Sweet.When did the big guitar makers start giving gig bags instead of cases for $1200 guitars.That's pretty ridiculous.
With Fender you pretty much have to buy American made to get a hard case. Of course there are some exceptions on both sides, but it’s been that way for awhile with Fender.
It would cost more with a hard case. This way you have the option.
@@charlesbolton8471 only the 2k guitars get a hard case (and they say its a £400 case,so its adding the cost of the guitar maybe )
The HER stratocaster was also officially raised to 1199 along with with a bunch of other recent Fender price bumps. 1099 was probably the old price for the guitar before the price hike.
It was. I distinctively remember the H.E.R. strat being $1099. And I know this one was the same price. They raised the price for some strange reason. I don't know why they would raise the price on a guitar that release last year. Time to get rid of stock, not raise the price of it.

Check the red Richie Kotzen Strat. Gorgeous, made in japan and chunky neck. Also gold hardware.
I'm a Gibson guy all the way.... I had to try the Kotzen Tele and I freaking love that guitar. The baseball bat neck and everything about it is awesome. Especially for the price!

Hey Austin, that reminds me a bit of my first real Strat I bought new in. 1980, it was a STRAT, I think they made them for 3 years, and like THE PAUL, it simply said STRAT on the headstock. It was Candy apple Red on the headstock as well, and the red coat was completely transparent, but it had a coat of Gold under it that made it look very sparkly. It had so much 18kt gold on the hardware that Fender lost money on them, and the beefiest and best bridge they ever made! I wish there was a way to send you a picture of me the day I got it 41 years ago. Imagine a Strat that cost $1100.00 in 1980! I think they got the newbie on that one!

I still can’t get over how much it looks like Mami Sasazaki’s 2017ish sig model. The specs are different for sure, but it’s crazy how similar they look. I kinda want one just because of that.

I have a set of the Yosemite pups in a Sandblasted Strat and I like them, they have a nice bite to them.

Reminds me of my Ibanez Blazer - similar finish with gold hardware. It’s a really classy color combo, in my opinion!

I wish all humbuckers came with two adjustment screws at the top of the pickup like this one. Yamaha use to fit them to their guitars, this configuration allows you to angle the pickup so it’s parallel to the strings and also prevents humbucker rock.
The pickguard is just the aged white moto pickguard. Its been available to buy separately for years. I've known about it since at least 2002.
I like that strat! It does seem to have really great tones to it. Great video!

playing some of jungle in the tash sultana signature review was a nice touch!
this is a beautiful guitar. Would have liked an S-1 on the tone pot instead of a push/pull for activating the coil split. Keep the functionality, just activate it differently. I really like the S-1 on my Vintera Modified 60s.

The Translucent Red looks good, but I won't have another Tremolo. No matter how you set up a tremolo bridge, use the Whammy Bar for a while and it gets knocked out of tune. I like the HSS with a split humbucker. A fixed bridge would possibly entice me into buying it. I would probably redo the shielding paint.
This reminds me of the Squier ProTones from the mid-90s, I'm pretty sure there was a transparent red one that looked similar.
Beautiful Guitar. I have a pair of Deluxe Roadhouse Strats. Tweaked properly. A real awesome strat with some nice features. Great demo.

Great finish, superb tone - was that tap losing volume? ...does the headstock reflect darker? almost looked black on the demo' ...great sound especially dirty, not a fan of gold hardware when it ages but adds quality. Great Strat great vid, thanks Trogly.
Trogly just so u know fender does have another guitar with a translucent red cap! It's the Fender FMT custom that also has a set neck, a true maple top, abalone inlays and Seymour Duncan's! Sadly it's made in Indonesia though but it's absolutely the best tele I've ever played.
This isn't the first time Fender made a transparent matching headstock. You need to check the Aerodyne Stratocasters. The ones with the flamed maple top.
I myself have the Aerodyne P Bass, and it's my main axe now. Made in Japan and matches the US Fenders for quality.
I love that Strat. Love the colour, the gold hardware, the pick guard - superb. I’d stick lockable tuners and strap locks on it and that would be it. I will surely take a look at one of those. At £800 it’s a steal.
i just payed 1,1k from andertons ,,can only find it £50 cheaper on line and there reviews are very bad,,,,,but this guitar is a performer type with extra looks,,,and about £100 more so its great,as it looks like a 2-3k one with the gold,,,even a hank marvin does not look as good

I'd love to see you review the Mami Strat from Japan now to see how they compare they're aesthetically similar but have different stuff going on hardware wise. While your at it just grab Haruna Tele too and give us a SCANDAL double feature! If you can dig SILENT SIREN, SCANDAL isn't too far of a jump.

My next strat in going to be hss,but i have to say that a dimarzio fast track 2 is awesome for the bridge position.this signature is really beautiful but also very expensive.trogly s your vids are top on my list!
Hotter single coils should balance better with the humbucker, but it might work better with some “hot” hum-canceling pickups.

Red & Gold on a strat is sum-thing else, looks really prestigious ... but the sound is an accorded taste imho, im More of a gibson airy sound guy ...fav pickup is the T-top
She toured with Pearl Jam. She very good. I have her albums but if I’m honest it’s missing something. I try and try to love it but just can’t for some reason.

Humbuckers come in single coil style also . That would be an easy mod.
I have one vintage Strat that I'll leave alone, the other MIJ, has just a humbucker, Im sure these don't come lefty so I'll not get to try one! I like the gold when it's new, but hate it when it gets worn off....even on my Gibson's.
That's one of the better sounding Strats Trogly has reviewed. Love the maple fretboard, too.
The reason that some reverb sellers have it for 100 dollars cheaper is because Fender raised the prices on their guitars across the board just over one month ago, and a lot of sellers haven't updated yet!

hello. sometimes I think strt types can sound thin and my favorite positions are 2and4. this sounds full on all positions to me and I do like a body match HS. got hooked on it since The Paul and Firebrands. a little Thunderhorse on bridge pu'p almost sounds like a PAF. Ü ♫

@@ottisopse it’s definitely worth it, got here in about 6 or 7 days. No real complaints just a little fret buzz but it’s barely any trouble. Idk what kind of amp you have I just have an orange amp but the tone is really smooth, it feels great to have an actual Stratocaster and the fret board is smooth so sliding shouldn’t be an issue. I bought gold string for it to make it pop more. Over all a great guitar that just feels comfortable to play, hope that helped

I was stuck choosing between this and the MIJ Mami strat but honestly I might stick with this one for the HSS pick ups and the easier shipping. Quick question but did you notice any fret sprout he mentioned or did that not show up for you? Im in Florida so its usually humid year round so I don't think i'll have too much issues with that I hope but I'd like to hear about your end. Thanks again for replying!

It's been my experience that by the time you add a fret level and a set up to.a MIM Fender, you are better off buying an American Special, particularly at this price point. It's like they leave the factory with no set up or quality control of neck quality.
