The MP40 was most famously designed, made and used by Germany in WW2, but it's an iconic weapon and was used in a lot of other wars as well even to this day. It was apparently used by both sides of the Vietnam War.

Hey Cap, just wanted to let you know that AEG stands for both Automatic Electrical Gun just like you said, but it can also stand for Airsoft Electric Gun, though generally automatic is more often.
Looking at this, I'm already thinking about how to make a wooden stock to bullpup it and make it take full mags using the back end of the original magwell and carve out the front end through the stock. I love my bullpups and I love my AEBs, so I'm curious how I can fit those together. If I do end up getting it and manage to make it how I want it, I'm sure you'll see it at Afterworlds. I'm not a fan of the original form due to the mentioned resemblance and how many people overrate equipment like it that are eighty years out of date.
I think the MP40 form factor looks cool, but i also think that it would have been sooooo much cooler if they made it an M3 “grease gun”. Not only is the grease gun very similar to the mp40 in form, so it could easily work just as well, but the real rate of fire of the grease gun is much more similar to this “nerf” iteration than the MP40 is. (the grease gun fires much slower than the MP40)
If you are talking about the Jig from biu blaster, then I think you need to have the darts get heated with a hair drier for the darts to hold their shape. I have seen another one that uses metal tubes and you dunk them into boiling water for a few seconds and then let them cool and dry. Not using heat won't let the darts hold the shape for long.
I bamboo darts using a black box, mirror in the bottom of the box. Jigs on top of the mirror. Place the box in direct sunlight on a hot day for at least 24 hours to permanently strengthen bamboo-shaped mold.
I have seen people put this into a stampede shell, and I want to try that so bad. Probably easier to just print the half dart kit off etsy though. I think it gets around the same power anyway. I always heard AEB instead of AEG.
Any other blaster and Id say whatever you happy calling it but when it looks like an MP40 and chambers 50cal foam it seems like an important distinction "Automatic Electric Blaster"
That’s completely fair, though in general I continue to do a big taboo and call them guns. That’s just due to me being used to both Airsoft, and real firearms. Regardless of calling them blaster or gun, I choose not to discuss either topic in public, unless it’s around those who know the topic.
This seems like the best AEG for price and ease of use. But I want an AEG with a true no-delay mechanical trigger. I dislike Prime-Then-Fire triggers. I want Fire-Then-Prime for responsiveness. You'd need to pre-prime to start a session and possibly for each mag change, and a de-priming process. Lots of complex choices, and new points of error that could hurt your blaster and may require upgraded mags. The QWK Challenger does this, but I'm not sure it does it well enough. Wasp avoids these difficulties. Haven't seen my dream AEG.
I’ve had the challenger and it was immediately responsive, but it’s super delicate and was a nightmare to upgrade without damaging wires or the slide lock release breaking even though it was cnc
There’s also a model that looks like an M249 SAW, which is one of my top favorite guns, and I personally named the M249 as the FN Minimi because that’s the original name given by FN, and the M249 being the US military designation for the Minimi. What makes the FN Minimi one of my top favorites is the really interesting history… it started with the SAW tender of the 1970s that involves the FN XM249, Rodman XM235, HK XM262, Colt XM106, and the proposed 6 mm SAW cartridge. In the end, the 6 mm SAW cartridge is dropped in favor of the more common 5.56 mm NATO cartridge for logistical reasons and the XM249 becomes adopted as the M249 SAW in 1982. Speaking of the letter “X” prefix; it stands for experimental until being procured.
Modify? There are at least a dozen dedicated sharpshooter level blasters available these days. The Swift, Harrier, Trion, DZP 1, 1.1, 1.2, 4.0, Terminator, Prophecy, Caliburn, Talon Claw, etc. But if you want to build your own the best is probably still the Longshot.
@@CaptainXavier biu-blasters still sells the QWK Challenger AEG which is the full-sized brother of the smaller QWK Edge. which is still sold by Monkee mods and Zhenduo. I'd think reviewing the Challenger is enough.
@michaellee4276 the edge is better than the challenger, in my opinion. Simpler design means less likely to break or jam. Plus, the stock on the edge is better than that on the challenger. The edge is also more fun cause it's usable in more situations than the challenger.

Automatic Electric Gear, I believe.
Did the Stampede sound like that too when it fired? Reminds me of space blaster noises from the 90s. Love me that electric spring firing method!
Yes, very similar.

@@hell240 Yea, that sounds like it would work. Just never use a Heat Gun as even the lowest of settings will melt the foam
Sillybutts designed the shroud and dart catcher which will take away the moving barrel which increases accuracy. Does not affect the FPS.

Did I use "Fire" right there kids ?
Yep, your spacing is weird though.
I want a version of this in a sten gun orientation.
Same. That or a Sterling L1A1.
I think a PPSH would be cool.
You'll want a barrel stabilizer of some kind since the barrel moves forward and back when you fire it

Awesome blaster! Bangarang!
I was able to solve the accuracy issues by using a Flag and Armor B-Scar (5 degree) and Worker HE darts
the heavy spring set up that I got from monkey mods hits around 250fps the scar and darts I recommended aren't required for the lower fps
