Roger has been one of the greatest athletes on the court, but I admire him more for what he has been off it: Roger throughout his career had long talks with the ball boys in the dressing rooms, left big tips in restaurants, helped strangers with instant donations, never spoke or was seen doing these things in public, his family relationship has passed without scandal, his support for new talents in tennis has been constant and also, he had a great sense for business which has placed him as the richest tennis player of all time. Besides, he has good taste in dressing.

And this is what i keep explaining to all the fans who always throw a fit over who is the best or whatever floats their boats, roger might not end up being the most successful or accomplished tennis player but he meant so much for the sport. He also picked up tennis after the Sampras era when tennis was on its ass and he blew new life into the sport and made people wanna watch it again and it got extra fueled when Nadal joined him aswell (and ofc Djokovic for the last 12 years) but he always remained calm and gentle and was the sports greatest ambassador and players (the guys that are now mid 20s or late 20s) look up to Roger.

You can be a fan favorite but that doesnt make you goat. Greatest of all time goes to the best at tennis not the most liked player. The winner of the match isnt voted on by the fans its decided by their tennis abilities.
