I’ve watched you so much and love your classy style. You exude God in everything you do and I LOVE that. You are so classy and I really enjoy your channel. I have binge watched so many things. Probably all of them honestly, on long road trips. Love this so much! Thank you for being so generous to share your recipes. You are a true gift from God! ❤
I was introduced to sea salt soap by Missouri River soap a few years ago and I have never looked back. I love them!! I would also encourage anyone to try them.
The salt bars look so luxurious!! You are the bestest - I know there is no word like that in the dictionary, but WTH YOU are THE BESTEST soapmaker!! :) Love the video ... thank you so much Ellen!!
Thank you for sharing! I appreciate it when the recipe and step by step instructions are given. Love your work! Im new and learning so your videos really help and boost confidence 😎
I totally agree with you about the molds for salt soaps, I made a salt recipe in a column mold and it was a disaster! it split open after I poured and went all over my counter and floor, had to scoop up, so now I use clips, what a mess! LOL. I have the same mold! I use it for face soap with your triple butter soap recipe, which i love, except I swap out the coconut oil for babassu oil since coconut does not like me :)
Thank you very much, Ellen. As usual, it's such a treat to watch your videos, thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion for soap making. God bless you
Bora Bora is one of my top sellers!! Been using it for a couple of years in soap, body oil, sugar scrubs, body butter lotions etc. Customers can’t get enough of it!!! Beautiful soaps by the way😉💚
I still have to give these a whirl. I just made my first soap paste yesterday. That was interesting. So, maybe I’ll try doing salt bars soon. I’ll have to use babassu or palm kernel though.
Thank you Ellen, I absolutely love the idea of the melt and pour for the center of the flowers/mold. I will have to try that for sure! I made my self a pink Himalayan salt soap and actually added poppy seeds. I love it, it's my garden soap bar..."working hands". Thank you again for sharing! Many blessings!
Thanks so much Ellen for sharing your whole soaping journey, and most of all your recipes! I have learned so much from you and I’m so glad I found your channel. I also give away my soaps, mainly because I hate selling ~ lol. To me there’s nothing more fun than cutting into that loaf to see what you created! Thanks for all you give us - Sending Blessings 🩷
Thank you for all your recipes and because of you I have started making soaps. It is so easy following your recipes and I have made your salt bar recipe a few days ago and love it. Thanks again😊❤.
I adore your videos and your soap recipes are ALWAYS a win for me. I have been DYING to try making a salt soap. But I’ve heard they VERY fast moving after trace. I’m glad you showed how you solved this by adding everything in BEFORE the lye solution, so helpful as always. I have heard conflicting information about the cure time on these. Some people say a few weeks, others say 6-8 weeks like normal, and then others say an entire year. How long do you typically cure yours before you consider them “ready to pack and sell”?
Love that color Ellen, and I LOVE salt bars. I am not making many anymore since is mostly for in house use because they don’t sell well for me. I just have a handful of customers that buy them
Hi good day, I'm from Trinidad & Tobago, and you are such an inspiration to me. I love watching your videos & it have inspired me to make handmade soap.....I tried your salt soap recipe. First time making salt soap, I used a flower mold, it came out great, but after a few days under the soap turned whitish. Do you have any advice for next time....thanks 😊
Hi Ellen, I always love everything you make. I have a question about the sea salt soap making. If I skip the butters, what is the best replacement? Thank you 😊
In CP soaping, if you change any of the oils, it's a new recipe and you'll need to run the numbers thru a soap calculator to make sure the lye ratio is correct 🌻

It sounds like soda ash.? It doesn't effect the soap at all, and will wash off.
❤❤
Did you cover the soap? Thank you for sharing 😊
No, I just left it out at room temp.

Would I be able to use more shea butter instead of cocoabutter?
If you change the oils, you'll need to run the numbers thru soap calc to make sure your lye ratio is correct.
I love watching yo, you're just so sweet
Oh thank you!🌻
Hi Ellen can I ask what type of salt you use ? Also do you use fine salt ?
I use a fine grind Sea Salt for this batch.
Hi ellen.... pls suggest how to avoid salt soap sweating in humid weather conditions... Pls it would be quite helpful in making next time.. my soaps have really turned out well but due to monsoon season at present they have started to sweat ..🙁
It can be tricky in really humid weather, but I've found a super high salt % helps.
beautiful what essential oil scent you would recommend for sea salt soap i don’t have the one you have! thanks
I’m thinking Lemon Grass would be really nice🌻
I love Ellen's recipe and have used geranium with lavender EO. Beautiful blend.
Love the soap...I have been dying to try to make a salt soap. When using melt and pour, is it better to use clear or not, especially when doing imbeds if doing cold process soap?
I’ve found that if I’m coloring my MP, I can use either clear or white 👍
Did you list the melt and pour ingredients on your label?
No, but you can list it as MP soap base.
@@EllenRuthSoap oh good. I was wondering if you have to list all the ingredients in the base. Thank you!

I used 40% in this
