Because it's the only way he kept his sanity redoing some sections AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN how many of the same bad jokes can you hear in an endless loop before you want to scream in agony
I do love Gex, but the guy made BUBSY look good in comparison, he never shut up and often repeated lines 100 fold during a level. Not to mention the camera always fought you, in a platformer.
I think the fact that even an any% TAS has to play the levels the intended way and hasn't figured out ways to skip bosses or gates speaks volumes about how tight and solid this game is. Like I didn't observe a single glitch in this run, even Scream TV 2, which has the 3 TVs back to back, I have tried so many times over the years to jump from one TV to the other and would expect a speedrun to figure that type of skip out so they could just take the fastest route through the level 3 times. ETG, Glover and Mischief Makers are criminally underrated games, and they're some of the best games on the N64.
Well… I’m afraid I am gonna have to put the kabosh on that point about skipping gates because you CAN do that. What you can’t do is skip many of the levels remote requirements (with the exception of Texas Chainsaw Manucure and Mazed and Confused which is skipped into for the PS1 any%).
Now that I'm 30 instead of 7 I think might be able to beat this game... but at the same time am gonna ruin that by watching this... and even tho it's tas all the obvious ways to victory seem so much more doable. At 7 years old I was convinced that this game could not be beat I always wanted to see the rest of the game. It did teach me to challenge my fear even tho I didn't get past the second level
It was, and it gave me nightmares as a kid. The black water, the empty low res ocean bottom... Then they make you outclimb the sinking ship. I shudder.
boy do i have news for you: they almost made a line of toys, a t.v. show, almost licensed a game based on gex's son(we only found this out april 2nd 2020) but hey, getting the og gex, gex enter the gecko and gex deep cover gecko is better than every game after just being meh at best. BUT he did cameo in a small number of games after.
Bobby Chill turning turning voice volume to zero in game skips the part where he says a line when he lands on a big tv (entering levels or exiting them via red remote tvs), saving a few seconds each time gex stands on a tv
Did the runner really turn off all the dated 90's jokes? What sort of sick bastard does that?

Vulcan64 voice is turned off because it saves a few seconds every time gex steps onto a big tv

Ese juego me iso recordar varios recuerdos desde cuando era un niño :(
I especially like how the font at the beginning is comic sans
They need to bring this back!
It is, as Gex Trilogy
get ready to just hear cartoony spring noises literally 90% of the time in this tas X'D

Siempre me dolía la cabeza cuando termina una sección de este juego. Aún así me dió unos ratos divertidos de niño.
ANYBODY UP FOR A ROUND OF GEX?
You didn't need to include the credits.
What king of Little Big Planet is this?
I have never seen this Titanic stage before is it N64 exclusive?
Dufferton Shire yes. It was exclusive to the N64 version
It was, and it gave me nightmares as a kid.
The black water, the empty low res ocean bottom...

Un juegazo parte de mi infancia llena de violencia intrafamiliar
They should have made more games then just the N64 and PSX one :(

1:41 is there invincibility frames in this animation of the attack? You clearly touched the trap unless...
Dungeon crawler 🦎
Not hearing a poorly aged reference is quite enjoyable. Also a bit off-putting
“It’s Tail Time!” What for?
the sound design are horrible and the level design seem weird but the game seem funny and it's a good speedrun to watch
My chilhood 😊... AWESOME 🕹
Gex time
I liked this game, but the camera, and at times controls, were some of the worst on the platform
Obviously fake. Where is the witty remarks and jokes that nobody in the two most recent generations won't understand?

What an awful game.
Let me guess...your idea of a good game is fortnite
Fanboys :v
