    Hi Villagers, I'm Jade, the happy mother of a 3 year-old master negotiator whose brain never seems to rest and a 2 year-old bundle of joy and risky adventures. And my husband is from France.
    I have always been interested in the process of teaching, training & coaching. After I graduated from ASU with my master's degree in education, I spent 10 years in the education world, including several years as a teacher.
    My experiences and my research made me realize how the first 3 years of life are the most important years in one's personality & brain development.
    Through this portal, I will explain how:
    * to create tools to channel your child's emotions
    * to develop activities to stimulate your child's brain
    * to handle allergies and eczema
    * to raise bilingual children
    * to manage your budget
    * to travel with kids

      I just gave away a toddler bed and put my oldest in a twin bed. Too bad I couldn't give it to you! Thanks for the well wishes - chaos is a great word. Stay happy!

    Very helpful video.
    For parents going thru this, I would suggest to have the full/twin size mattress on the floor which will allow child more floor space as well.
    During that time, your family might be growing and you might plan to have two kids in one room. In that case, a bunk bed would be another good option.
    Another option is loft style bed if more floor space is needed.
    Its good to wait a longer time to make the decision because things change.

      Yes, I love the idea of a mattress on the floor! Easy for them to access, no worries about them falling out, etc. My toddlers said they want a bunk bed so they can 'share secrets' lol But I have to wait until they're a bit older. And you're absolutely right, they grow and things change so fast!

      I was wondering if I could do this actually, but I thought maybe it was a bad idea so thank you both for recommending a mattress on the floor

    What is your opinion about bunk beds my wife is thinking of getting the boy's bunk beds the boys are 4 and 5

      5 is the perfect age for a bunk bed! As long as you trust your 4 year old to follow all safety rules regarding the ladder/stairs, the bunk bed is both a fun and practical idea. Just be sure to discuss the rules and boundaries several times.

    Would you recommend bunk beds

      I do not recommend transitioning from a crib to a bunk bed. Though the bottom bunk would work if you really needed to buy a bunk bed. But 5 years old is a better age due to the safety issue of the ladder/stairs.

    We had a conversion crib for my son. But we decided to buy him a toddler bed that sits on the floor until he gets a little bigger. Hes only a year n a half old. He started climbing out of his crib at around 10.2 months

      That's a great idea, especially for that age. Then if he falls out of the bed he won't even wake up! And it's easy for him to get into bed on his own. I ended up getting rid of the convertible crib bed, too. I got the oldest a twin and the two year old took his toddler bed.
