Modding my Hunting Knife - Becker BK18

Last year I got a Ka-Bar Becker BK18 because I think it can fill a duel role as a field knife, and as a hunting and skinning knife. Primarily due to the shape of the blade. As it comes though, it definitely needs a little TLC.

Put about 10 coats of mustard and Tabasco sauce on it. It’ll look like it’s about 50 years old then.

Did heating the vinegar ruine your heat treat?

Nah I don't think so, it's like boiling water. No where near hot enough to ruin a heat treat. For that, I would think you'd have to heat the blade directly with a torch.
