I consider myself so fortunate to have grown up in the era that produced Mariah, Madonna, Janet, Celine, Whitney and Gloria Estafan. So much pop royalty in one period of time. You could not turn the radio on in the 80's and 90's and not hear a song by one of these women at any given time. Respect.

Mariah is most definitely up there with Beyonce and Adele as the best female Western vocalists - but they can't compare to the insane range and power of some of the singers I mentioned.

I was listening to Mariah Carey's "Greatest Hits" and "#1 to Infinity" albums today. Her music is classic!!! I got all her albums cuz not only is she one of the greatest singers of all time, but she is one hell of a talented songwriter. Mariah Carey is an entertainment icon, the G.O.A.T.

Pure my a$$. She has literally been accused of sexual harassment, bullying and abusive work environments by MULTIPLE employees. She tried everything in her best to bury that private recording from one of the employees, which depicts Mariah with such a scandalous behavior that even Mariah's spokesperson said that recording would destroy her career. They succeeded to stop the public release of that recording with hush money!! That says so much about her. If she were a man, she would've been canceled a long time ago. Hell she even publicly supports Dr. Luke and said "I have my own beliefs" because she's literally just like him. A powerful abusive celebrity. People wake up. Huge pop stars are always exempt from consequences. Her team is trying everything to bury these scandals so my comment will probably be deleted. Wake up and beware of the damage control.

@ashley1994 I think her face structure comes back, probably has to do with weight loss and/ or less botox/fillers. Also, I’m not a fan of how her MUA used to give her that drag queen ish heavy contoured makeup and big false lashes, they take away from her round eye shape, over the past yrs. IMO Mariah looks best with soft make up and no no heavy lashes no harsh make up contour and slightly darker eyebrows.

Mariah is the reason why I learn English, study in the US and made a living here. For a lot of domestics, she might be just an out-of-date diva who had some moments in the 90s. But for a foreign kid like me, her music served as the beacon of hope. Her talent is timeless, proof: the movie Free Guy made Fantasy as the main themes with version variations. The movie Always be my maybe literally named after Mariah’s song, not to mention the Latto remix. I can always pop my Mimi playlist and felt everything is going to be alright.

Gosh, I just LOVE this woman! If you all haven’t listened yet (I highly recommend hearing Mariah narrate her life story), listen to her memoir on Audible, etc!
