The argument for the Traynor might be that it’s old school, and really needs to be cranked to shine. That said, I’m seriously looking into a Nux now. That little thing sounded damn good!
For practice sessions at home, micro amps are definitely worth it, even recording can be ok if you mic it. But if you are doing shows and jamming with a band, you go with a big amp.

I personally think TH3 sounds really good, for instance, and who knows: maybe there will be a guitar plugin available within the next 50-100 years for a reasonable price where even OP and yourself will agree that it actually sounds better than any "old school tube amp".
Bought a Nux, love it. I have a Mesa Boogie Mark V and an old Marshall 2253. When I don’t feel like firing up a tube amp I just grab the Nux. Great for traveling as well.
Nah I feel you on that one. I’m always looking for the cheapest way to have any specific tone I want, and this is a good amp for that. I also LOVE the app feature, and I might even use this amp as a pre-amp for a future gig!
I wouldn’t ideally record on one of those, but it sounds at least as good as my regular-sized practice amp, and it’s got potential for great music making. I’m sure a lot of it is just Stevie’s amazing technique, though.

Amps like "Nux" are great with headphones and I like'em very much 'cause you can use whenever you want. Tube amps are great but you cannot use'em often at home. Question: where did you learn those facial expressions?

Nah the Traynor has a great master volume that doesn't kill tone. It can play at bedroom levels but its not as nice as playing it loud.
