I almost don't want to comment, because the riding said it all, but if im going to say anything, then it's simply FLOW. From the riders to the videography and everything in between. Awesome Flow guys. If that doesn't make you want to ride, check your pulse. what amazing footage. Thank you, seriously.
Gracias a este video volví a reavivar mi amor por el ciclismo es tan inspirador tan lleno de emociones que al verlo inmediatamente salí otra vez en mi bicicleta a recorrer los cerros montañas y rutas MTB mil gracias mil gracias
First want to say ... one big thank you for the inspiration ... I watch it today in the cold -6 deg Bulgarian morning, and fell soo nostalgic for good weather and good rides that I have and that comes in future ... this video is so professionally make and so emotional touching that if someone does not ride bike ... he instantly will want to grab a bike and ride...anywhere=everywhere!
Just came across this now, but I don't think there's ever been a better tribute to mountain biking than this video. Every aspect and all the emotions have been captured, a sign of the wise people that worked on it. After a short ride today that was half good and half disappointing, this gives me the motivation to follow the narrator's advice at the very end🤣🤘. What a gem, filming, riding, script, everything sums up perfectly to why we love this sport!👏👏. Thank you!
WOW, this definetly deserves more views! The camera work and editing is amazing, so many cool shots and of course the riding is sick too. This should have more views than just a random Berm Peak or Sam Pilgrim vlog. Awesome stuff…
precioso... sin mas. de las mejores que he visto detras de LIFE CYCLES......Impresionante la cancion de DIVINE ATTRACTION - ENCOUNTER.... con las letras aun mas bonita... ese trozo de video es espectacular....
Moved back home to the mountains here in South Carolina. Looking to get a MTB to take advantage of all the cool trails, but wanted to watch some art before I did. Ty for this brothers.
Amazing work! Fantastic quality from the footage to the editing to the music you checked all the boxes. Not to mention the talent of the riders. Very entertaining. As good if not better than a Redbull feature film. Hope to see more from you. Enjoy the ride!
Incredible riding. Incredible video work. How in the world does this not have >1 million views?!? Thank you for this beautiful piece of work! I will have this on repeat for a bit.
Love this! Epic. Great cinematography and sound design. Amazeballs riding and great storytelling. Congratulations on creating an engaging and beautifully shot MTB film.
@@blakepickup as i said in from WA state. Now living in Costa Rica. Healing from another shoulder surgery. Those dirt jumps are a work of art! I'm 48 so flying days are done but i still shred!
Looking around UA-cam for inspiration on the hidden secret of making a successful film. UA-cam took me here. It is very good, like it a lot, and definitely appreciate the work put in. Thought mine took a long time but two years. Your artist link? Is that meant to take me to your songs used in the film? (I subscribe to artist). Artlsit takes me to the front page. Recognise two of your chosen songs. Subscribed.
Amazing film man just wondering what camera was used on the cable cam (GoPro?) and what was used to capture audio was it attatched to the camera or would you have the mic setup on the trail off camera keep doing what your doing legend
Thank you glad you enjoyed the film. I used a DJI osmo pocket there is a full breakdown on how I filmed the cable shots on my channel. For the audio sometimes i had it off camera but a lot of it was just mounted on top with a deadcat
Absolutely AMAZING production.. The shots, the slows, the mountainbiking, the edits, the riders, the sends.. everything.. Absolute top quality! Except for the Muzak.. The "Muzak" (Muzak definition = generic music designed for adverts, film edits, or malls etc rather than actual music to be listened to) was absolutely terrible.. The clip shot without music, where we got to hear the sweet sweet raw sounds of chains, cassettes, hubs, gravel, & joy.. that was glorious.. But there were so many clips where i really wanted to hear the screams of stoke, & the raw sounds of mtb action, especially down the scree.. but instead it was covered over by horrid generic rock or whatever it was.. I found that quite disappointing, especially when there are quite alot of local producers, DJs & musos from Queenstown itself, most of which i would say would mtb & possibly know some of the legends in this film. Even PDigss from Shapeshifter is a mountainbiker himself, is from Queenstown, & would likely know all of these guys. There would have been so much local, or atleast South Island music, D&B, electronic, dubstep, house, hiphop, dub, reggae, garage, techno, ambient etc, so much music that could have been used that would have fit.. Local tunes for a top notch world class local mtb edit, how absolutely DOPE that would have been.. Rather than using generic music from some generic video-edit soundbite site.. If the music was better or there was no music at all & just raw mtb sound edits, this would have been 100% a 10 out of 10 video. But the music made me want to mute it & just watch pure mountainbiking instead.. What a shame.. I will 100% watch it again, but on mute with my own music. But it's a shame i have to do that, because i love to hear the mtb action itself.. If you ever do a full NZ mtb film, you should use some NZ music, there's so many producers & DJs throughout NZ, both professional & bedroom producers that are also solid MTBers themselves & would be honoured to provide some tunes free of charge to an amazing mtb film of this calibre.. Sorry to be a hater, but a good sound track can make an awesome edit into an amazing one, or make an amazing edit irritating until muted. It's sad to have to watch such class production on mute..
Hey Dan, Thanks for your kind words and advice. Unfortunately for this production the budget was extremely small which left me as the sole producer of the movie. Filling all the roles of director, editor and filmer was a lot of work and making connections with local music artist and searching their libraries was going to be too much to handle. But yes I do agree if we get a big enough budget for the next one I will definitely look into collaborating with NZ musicians.
This is an awesome piece of work! Any tips for filming this kind of stuff and making it flow as well as this did? I’m making a MTB movie for a school project
