Winning the Stanley Cup will be Lav’s sweet revenge.
He inherited a decent team so I get it. BUT there is no doubt that his influence has brought the best out of this group. He deserves the recognition.
No that's crap. Plenty of coaches that coached MUCH better teams for multiple years have won the Jack Adams in the past. The fact that this can be your first year coaching a team and you can lead them to the most points in their HISTORY (An Original 6 team, mind you. Not an expansion team that has only been around for a handful of seasons) and not even be a finalist is outrageous. Did the following coaches have decent teams?
Jim Montgomery: 2023 (Best regular season ever. This was his first year coaching them)
Rod Brind'Amour: 2021 (Rod had been coaching them for 3 years)
Bruce Cassidy: 2020 (Bruce had been coaching them for 4 years)
Barry Trotz: 2016 (had been coaching the Caps for 2 years)
John Tortorella: 2004 (John had been coaching Tampa for 4 years)
Joel Quenneville: Had been coaching Blues for 4 years.
Scotty Bowman: 1996 (One of the greatest regular seasons in the history of the game. Scotty had been coaching them for 3 years)
Glen Sather: 1986 (Had one of the greatest teams ever. He had been coaching them for 7 years in the NHL)
Scotty Bowman: 1977 (Had one of the greatest teams ever. He had been coaching them for 6 years)
Fred Shero: 1974 (Another great team. Had been coaching them for 3 years)
Who cares about Jack Adams? Win the Cup!!

I will admit and come out saying I was wrong about Peter Laviolette. I'm not going to hide and say, oh yeah I wanted him right from the beginning. I was the guy saying, yes he won a SC, yeah he has experience..etc but he is a retrend coach. Welp, no shame in saying I was 1000%wrong and Peter Laviolette I'm sorry. I'm sorry to doubt you. I now believe he is the coach Destined to coach this team to a Stanley Cup. This year feels different. Not to mention all of the similarities with earthquake, OJ Simpson, President's Trophy, 1st rd sweep...etc. sometimes things are meant to be and I believe with all of my heart that this is how it's suppose to go. Evan, your right. If this was Gallant he would still have Dryden Hunt playing over Kappo, he would have had a bad relationship with Panarin by calling him out in front of the team. You have Gallant, who pretty much just let the players do whatever they want with no structure or gameplan come playoff time. This series vs Canes will be tough, especially if Lavi sees something he does not like, but I believe in him. I trust him now and I feel like he will have this figured our. LGR

The only other thing that has me concerned about Rempe playing, and tbh it's not even his fault are the pre judgments that the Refs have on him. It's not fair, it sucks, but unfortunately it has to be noted that even when he makes a clean hit, he is penalized. I'm also a big Rempe fan, but just another thought that Lavi will have to think about
I really don't think Bowness deserved to be a finalist for the Jack Adams, but I'm fine with Brunette and Tocchet being on there

Night games are certainly better, since Sunday is a day where you do things with the family, especially with the weather getting better now. LGR!! Makes no difference to me about who wins the Coach of the Year award, or other personal awards. The Rangers need to win the Cup, that's all that matters. Besides, with Carolina being the favorites in this series, the Rangers should take this disrespect personally, especially being the #1 team overall.

Lavi being snubbed as a finalist for the Jack Adams award is a crime. It is proof that there is a hatred by the NHL against the Rangers and NY as a whole. If Bread is snubbed for the Hart then I say we boycott the awards ceremony. I'm only joking about the boycott. I hope this will become bulletin board fodder going into the 2nd round. Let's Go Rangers. More proof of Bettman hating the Rangers is when he had to hand the Cup to the Rangers in 94. He had scowl on his face and looked like he wanted to get out of the Garden asap.

And you know why bowness got the nod. you explained it. plus, who are we kidding -- the NHL is always looking to stick it to NY. Re: Canes. They know the Rangers are one of the few teams in the league that has their number. Trust me, the they're far more worried about Rangers.

As a hurricanes fan, you can "practice" that man on man all you want. Unless Rangers are as conditioned as the Canes its gonna be hard. It comes down to gas in the tank. Theres a reason why the Hurricanes win so many games in the 3rd period.

Because every year pretty much the coach of the presidents trophy winning team is usually a finalist and the eye test shows the difference in this team that’s the argument
@@RangersCentral they were only 6 points better than last year. The coaches that were nominated took non playoff teams and made the playoffs

@@RangersCentral they were a wild card team last year. This year they finished second and had the best overall defensive numbers for GA plus a Vezina nominated goalie
