Thanks for this Video Larissa. There are a lot of videos about Durga Puja on the internet, most of it is about the glamour of it. Nothing wrong in that, however this is one of the few which is more about the culture and the history and I absolutely love it
The best part of this festival is that where every other parts of India sees or celebrate maa Durga as the goddess but in kolkata we represent her as our own daughter who at this time of the year during the festivities comes home to her native place along with her four daughters and sons, that to me is the most wholesome part of this entire festival ❤😇

A very well made video. What I truly appreciate in you is how you've successfully connected with the intellectual vibe of the city which most visitors fail to. Hence, the negative reviews.
Being from Kolkata, I can really say there's so much honesty in this video... Made truly from the heart. Enriching and meaningful voice over. Moreover the honesty & simplicity probably came because it's your second visit to the city. Best wishes for your future endeavours. Stay happy and blessed Larissa ❤

Beautiful. You brought out the beauty of simplicity which is all around us… and we fail to acknowledge it. Kolkata’s beauty is very intangible. Extremely difficult to portray… easier to experience. But somehow you managed to do both.
You did exactly what the Kumars do to the Idols they make, to your video!!! There's so much content about Durga Pujo, but this was pure magic. Thank you so much for doing this❤
Your channel is just different the way you capture the details .. you're amazinggggg..my fav is the benaras vlog and this is definitely gonna be my second most fav vlog!!!..❤🥺✨
Fantastic video about Kolkata! Thanks for sharing, it’s definitely worth watching. There are many videos on Durga Puja in Kolkata, but this one truly stands out.
Learning Bangla (or any language, really) from a non-native speaker can lead to some hilarious missteps! 😂 But hey, aside from that, the video is a total blast and full of flair! Kolkata during Durga Puja is like paradise on Earth! Missing this badly :(
Thank you so much Larissa Didi. your presentaion of the atmosphere surrrounding Durga Puja in Kolkata really brought out the innocent happiness that i used to experience as a child during durga puja. I am a second generation bengali staying in Nagaland in the north east india, and after watching your presentation it hit all the nostalgic spots of my childhood days during puja. Lots of love Didi. ❤❤❤

Nicely done. Shame on me for not knowing about your channel. Now I do. Perfect time to cover the Pujo preps in Kolkata. The actual Pujo days can be crazy fun if you're staying long enough. Thanks for visiting.
Nicely done film. Everyone in Kolkata wears new clothes during Durgapujo. Must cover pre-pujo marketting by visiting some markets and showing the crowd and excitement there. I keep wondering how Kolkata people are never tired despite being in sweaty drenching weather condition. People are contented, highly emotional, obsessed with food, Rabindrasangeet, dance, music, poetry. Durgapujo is the time to show creativity in all aspects of life. This culture of Kolkata drives the economy and not the other way round. People find joy in achieving excellence in creative activities, small or big, and do not focus on materialistic achievements.
Having been born and brought up in Kolkata and then having spent quite some time away from home, this video does hit the spot. Very articulately presented and well made! Accurately representing the ‘being’ of Pujo’. Thank you for this! Please do visit during Christmas-New Year, Park Street is the centre of festivities for more than a week during that time and since you have already acquainted yourself with the crowd - you’ll have no trouble enjoying the time!
Many many congratulations to you in Kolkata, the city of joy. Kolkata in fact most of Bengal are always alive. Not only just during the Durga Puja but you feel this in any of the festivals celebrated here also. If there will be some more time in your hand you could check it.
