- Quick review of my husky cabinets, I got from the home depo going over some of the install and some of the features they have and some of the flaws. I still have a lot to do to get organized but this is a great start let me know what you think. I've added the link to the unboxing of the cabinets at the end of the video.
Just installed some Costco New Age cabinets/lockers - just sharing .....!

@@tundrawhisperer4821 if the new age cabinets are what you are wanting go to garageappeal.com and find the set you want and have home depot or lowes price match them. It will save you $5-$600 on the set I got. My garage is divided into 2 separate bays. I put this set on one side www.garageappeal.com/newagebold50608.aspx and this set on the other www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-Welded-133-in-W-x-75-in-H-x-19-in-D-Steel-Garage-Cabinet-Set-in-Black-9-Piece-with-Stainless-Steel-Work-Surface-GS13209-SS/306605258. I like the look of the husky a little better.
Nice setup! Installed a really similar set, but had to custom design it due to a height restriction in my space. So I ended up using some different Husky tall cabinets that were a bit shorter. You can see the video on my channel if interested.
Quick Question Matt. I am looking to buy the Stainless top that you show in your review. I wanted to ask if the underside is wood or is it stainless wrapped? I want to put it on a baking station i'm making in my kitchen. The 56" long one would be perfect. I really don't want to buy commercial tops. Plus I can't find 56" for a size and everyone wants a ton of money for custom. The wood underside would allow me to attach it.
I'm interested in how high you raised the lower cabinets and how you mounted the stainless top. I'm going to order this same setup from home depot when my pole barn is finished. Thanks!
Thanks for the video and explanation. I noticed the Husky labels are not on the cabinets. Did you just pull them off?
Theses are the heavy duty ones they don’t have stickers they have husky embossed in the cabinets in black and each upright cabinet set came with a magnet with the word husky also they are not the ones that can be seen in the store
At 2:45 you opened the larger, full height cabinet, and this had pull out drawers in them. Are these drawer locations adjustable up and down within the cabinet? Are the pull out drawers standard in this cabinet or an accessory you have to order? How did you go about getting these, was it through your local HomeDepot or did you have to order them online? Thx
I'm sorry about the late reply, each one of the up rights came with one drawer in it. I just stuck them all in on cabinet they are adjustable but only where they have holes for them id like to get 2-3 more and a few more shelf's for in the cabinets also just have not taken the time to search. I ordered the cabinets on the homedepo website online with pick up at my local homedepo store if you didn't see it already I have an unboxing video of the cabinets on here also
Tanks for these videos, was gonna go with the Kobalt.. lots of damage videos, then saw your videos looks like less damage than most and do look a lot better, hoped to pay less but as always get what you pay for, waiting for mine to arrive , allegedly Oct 26 .

@@iansmith9201 Well..no damage to box, but.dents to bottom of 2 doors on 1 of tall cabinets ( I got the 7 piece set) called customer support got answer on second ring lady was nice told me to send pics, confirmed receipt of pics, called me in afternoon to tell me she would update me in 2 days, she did. Called me 3 days later that parts are delayed (same as everything as you know)..prob in container ship off the coast..so still waiting..not highly visible damage. They should put more padding in that area. Boxes come with tip over indicators that were intact...so it did not fall over..must have been dropped..oh, when I went to level it 2 feet were bent enough to be a minor hassle had to use wedges to level...sigh !
I'm fixing to order the 133" set. I dont expect perfection out of them. I think they will do me fine
Are the drawers full pull-out? That is, expanded braces to access very back.

Thanks for your excellent review. Very helpful in making a decision. Looks like it is pretty decent stuff. I just purchased the 156 inch set with the heavy duty adjustable height work bench (not the connected work surface) that comes with two floor cabinets that I will put on casters. Should give me pretty good flexibility. Thankfully on sale now at 30% off...stuff is not cheap.
Stay Strong so far the set up is working out pretty good for me and yes I was lucky and got this setup on sale too was around 2500

I found husky set similar to this. But you have two tool boxes along the bottom under the bench but I can't find that. It only has cabinets and one tool box under the bench. Did you change this in order? Or modify? I'd like to have the two tool box system as I could get rid of my actual tool box then.
MaTTyMaTT It was 2 kits one was 6 pice and one was a 3 pice and the top separate the 3 pice had the 5 drawer and the 6 pice had 1 also they should offer it this way. With the wall space I had available this is what worked best for me they have a lot on the website it’s just catching it when in stock and waiting on delivery.
I'm seeing the lack of in stock. But it's on sale right now. Just can't order it. Ha. I'll wait I guess.

I picked my set up today, got it home and discovered that the top on one of the 75" cabinets was crushed in. Pissed, I had to load it all back up and return it.
That definitely sounds like a bad day, hopefully it doesn’t take too long to get a replacement.
Did the light come with the set or did you buy it separately?
Rip Miller the light was a personal add on a single 4 foot led from Lowe’s
Are these the standard cabinets or are they the heavy duty ones?

Why didn't you connect the countertop to the 2 tall cabinets? Isn't the countertop dimensions so as to match the upper cabinets dimensions (84")? How do you have the countertop secured? Is it attached to the base cabinets? Thanks for the video! David
Hello I tried with it hooked up with the bracket to the side cabinets just didn’t look supportive enough I wanted the lower cabinets permanently installed and not on wheels as I was planning on setting transmissions cylinder heads ect on top to work on and they are quite heavy if you check my install video on the cabinets I go into it in more detail so far everything is working out great I still need more shelving for inside the tall cabinets.
Is there an item # for these? I can’t find this whole set

As a guess unboxing and install should take 4-6 hrs it took me longer as I was making a video

See I personally I don't sweat small dings and scratches or minor dents because I use it and I am going to ding it and dent it and scratch it myself...
Craig Cundiff yea me too as I only stated it sucks because I didn’t get to put the first dent or scratch in it but they are holding up good to my almost daily use

Craig Cundiff I did the research went to the stores checked out the stuff they had at Lowe’s and Home Depot and a few other brands and these seemed to be the best quality as to why I went with this and yes when it’s on sale that’s the best time to get them
@@Mattsneedforspeed I already have the 52" hutch in the same style as these cabinets down to the soft close drawers so it only makes sense that I go with The Home Depot set.. although I too have looked at what Lowe's has to offer and it just wouldn't suit my garage and the quality( like you said ) isn't as good as The Home Depot ( Husky) set up

Are these the heavy duty?
I find them to be heavy duty I checked out a few different brands I wanted to only buy once. I have them loaded with lots of weight inside and on top of the cabinets, no door or drawer problems yet and they are used almost daily
Is this the heavy duty 18 gauge set?
nothing Husky offers is 18 gauge. Even the Heavy Duty is only 20 gauge
The lower tool drawers are actually 18 gauge
