It's so wonderful to see these beautiful locomotives double heading together. They are a credit to the people who restored them. 621 looks great too, I can't wait to film this loco again sometime in the not too distant future. Best wishes Rowan.
Can’t believe I haven’t replied to this, sorry old mate! Yes, it’s a credit indeed and we’re so lucky to have railway preservation here in SA. Love to see mainline steam again but unfortunately i was born too late lol 😆. Come to think of it, I was only, perhaps 🤔, five months old when the F Class last ran on the mainline in November 95’. I was born in June of that year. But thankfully we can see mainline steam in other states of Australia. Looking forward to seeing 621 return to the boil again and hopefully the 520 is not too far off coming back as well. That’ll attract people far and wide to see that thing back in service. Speaking of 520, did you hear or see that the Pennsy T1 is operational again in the States? The Pennsy T1 was basis of the design for the 520’s front end, albeit with a few differences. I knew they were working on the T1 but when I saw video I was like, woah, it’s working haha 😆. Can’t wait to get over there myself and see it. Anyhoo, thanks for commenting mate! Apologies it took so long. Regards, Caleb
@@CalebsRailFilms Hi Caleb. That’s no worries at all, these things happen. I really enjoyed the video of the 2 Rx’s in action at SteamRanger and I plan to have another look in the coming days. I hope you are keeping well and I look forward to talking again soon, I will send you through another email in the next week. Keep safe mate. Best regards Rowan.
Thanks, Dave! I know it’s not New Year for you as yet but Happy New Year anyways to you and yours. Hopefully, 2022 will be much better, though I’m not counting on it though, lol 😆. Take it easy. Regards, Caleb
Fabulous video Caleb. Love the caption along the rails idea. I never did get to see a working RX during my time living in SA, now SR are running them double headed. Wonderful! Happy New Year to you and your family.
Thanks, Karl! Have you’ve been well? I’m hoping I’ll get to see you this year for the BRMA Convention, here’s hoping anyway 😅. Yes, I thought I would have a little fun with the editing and something I had mastered in our recent Blu-Ray and DVD title which is our first model train production. I had even more fun with Part 2 with the captions which you can see here 🙂 - ua-cam.com/video/wQqIo_-c4S8/v-deo.html Maybe, you’ll be able to see double-headed Rx’s when come over in October for the Convention. That’ll be fantastic. And I didn’t realise you’ve never seen operational Rx’s 😯. Boy you’ve missed some great action. But, I’m hopeful you’ll be to see one or two operational Rx’s when you eventually come over here to SA. In terms of the New Year, it hasn’t been the happiest time for our family as we lost our six-and-half-year-old Golden Retriever, Libby on the first night of the New Year 😭😩🥺. You can see my tribute to our gorgeous baby girl on Facebook if you haven’t already, Karl. Hope you had a pleasant New Years with your family though. Much love. Regards, Caleb and Sue xx
@@CalebsRailFilms Hiya Caleb…Yes, I saw the sad news about Libby on Facebook. Sorry, I didn’t really know what to say, you were so upset. Hopefully, this year will bring lots of success for you though. It was great to see the release of your DVD and I love the editing on that last video. And yes, finger crossed that the convention finally gets to go ahead this year.
It has been over thirty years since the Rx’s have been together on the South Coast, last time being in 1989. 🙂 I’d love to see your old footage though 😍. That would be a treat to see. Keep well. Regards, Caleb
Cool 👍 What did he or she do with SteamRanger, mate? Passenger attendant, guard or fireman/driver? Would be interested to know. 🙂 Have a good one and keep well. Regards, Caleb
This is still my favourite train video I have ever seen
Thank you so much, mate! Means the world to me that you still enjoy it hehe 😉. Hope to do a lot more in 2024 if my health improves. Here’s hoping 🤞
Oh, well i hope you get better and yes definetely you can post more!❤🎉
