Line Rider #26 - Pizzicato (Léo Delibes)

- Synchronised line riders visualise this piece of music.
This piece, Pizzicato by Léo Delibes, isn't very well known by name, but I'm sure everyone has heard of it in various films and sitcoms (I seem to remember it being used at the end of a Friends episode, amongst other things!) It's fun to listen to, so I tried to emulate the light bouncy parts suitably, and then be a bit more sweeping and flowing in the middle parts. Hope you enjoy it!

you really captured the spirit of the plink plonks (from a violinist) ☺️
Haha, as an ex-violinist, I know what mean! :-)
Totally agree. Great video.
I'm a pianist and I still call them plink plonks
@@jordanbagnara9939 all hail the plink plonks😁
Plink plonks are cool as long as violinists aren't pizz-ed
Why this is so hypnotising
Who knows!
Was Literally just thinking the EXACT Same thing.. .
... it's LOVELY ..
.....And (More Than) a Little Like Asmr..

The first section with all three riders is just **chef kiss**
Brilliant 🤗
Such a joy when they all landed safe in their little parking spaces at the end. Your music choice is on point as always.
Hehe, they have to park on that final note! Thanks, glad you like my music choices.
I agree! That ending was perfect!
Hello Matthew, I am a school teacher and my students love when we get to the end of the day and we have time for a special treat. They invariably ask for line riders. Your videos with multi riders are tremendously popular and the students 'go' for their favourite rider. It is a great way for students to be introduced to music with dynamics, colour and movement in these pieces. Please continue doing these, they are truly awesome and very relaxing at the end of a busy day of learning. Thank you!!
Hi Katherine - really glad to hear that your kids enjoy my Line Rider videos! It's a great way to get young people to listen and appreciate classical music. Thanks for leaving me a message.
It's always so sad when they stop 😢
Hehe, afraid they have to eventually 😊
I love it! And I'm weirdly glad that all the guys ended on their sleds!
SO many people say that, it's funny how sled-anxious some people are. Glad you liked it! :-)
Perfection! It was amazing when the rider would do a flip at just the right time on what appeared to be a gentle curve!
I am so glad you are back with another excellent ride!
The loops were so intricately intertwined!
Bravo!
Thanks Joe, great to see you in the comments section as always 😊
Really nice and relaxing. I love your work. Please do this like forever, because it’s amazing👍❤️❤️👍
Thanks DutchGirl, much appreciated :-)
This brought a tear to my eye.
In a good way I hope! :D
Daamm, this is epik!

this is one of the most magical things i have seen in a very long time..
Thanks, glad you like it!
Loved it. Beautiful as always. ❤️
These get better every time
Thank you Elisabeth.
I can only imagine that when you first had the idea of doing this you were listening to one of these wonderful music pieces, had your eyes closed, and started visualizing the kid on a sled going down a mountain...🤔😉😄
Hehe, yeah I think it through and then try and draw what I'm visualising in my head.
Extraordinary .
Thanks, glad you like it.
Yaaayyyy, serotonin!!!
Our old favourite 😊
J'adore! Un vrai petit bijou!
Merci, Rolande! 😊
I’m here from tiktok! i’m glad to see that your work is spreading :)
Ah cool! Yeah it is which is is nice :-)
I have been watching a lot of baby lambs today, and this one really fit in with that vibe. I can't pick which is cuter though... the bouncing of baby lambs, or the bouncing ballet of the riders, and their plinko machine antics. Fantastic as always, and it absolutely put a smile on my face. Keep up the wonderful content! I love it all and I appreciate your artwork (because this really is an art).
Pretty sure lambs will always be cuter! But thank you, I'm pleased to come second to the lambs :-)
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider let me be clear: you tied with the lambs, and I actually played this side-by-side with the lambs and still couldn't pick, but it was hilarious to watch the bouncy lambs with the bouncy sleds
@@adriennecmc honoured to have maxed out on cuteness tonight then 🤣
THAT WAS FUN!!!🙆♂️ Awesomeness👍😎

Brilliant +Matthew Buckley...you get it right everytime! Love it when I see something new from you and the Line Riders...they always make me chuckle!
Haha, thanks Linda, glad they raise a good chuckle 😊
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider they are such a good laugh. I cheer them on as they are falling off or flying about and they look at us saying , "well that didn't go well...what did we do to make Matthew angry?" I feel for them but they make me chuckle throughout
It does keep getting better and better!! I have such love for pizzicato string pieces, with another example apart from this one being Strauss' Pizzicato Polka
Thanks Rayati!
Amazing, like always

Wow, thank you Francesca! Enjoy the binge :-)
I have fallen in love with every piece that I came across on this channel. It's such a visually mindful listening experience!
No worries littletomato, glad you like them all 😊
You have turned me on to so many different composers I've never really listened to. Everyone knows Chopin or Debussy when it comes to French classical, but Delibes, holy smokes.
Yeah a few different ones to keep everyone on their toes.
These keep getting better. This one is one of your best ever.
Thanks Grenadith! Glad you like them all 😊

I just LOVE what you do!! I grew up listening to classical music and played flute, in symphony, when I was young. (I also played classical guitar) Your videos are such a treat!

Superb 😍
Thanks! :-)
The timing is spot on!!! Well done!
Thanks Pete.
I like how the end screens appear the moment the music and the riders stop
All has to be synchronised 🤣
Wow! This must be one of your most elaborate ones and taken an abnormally long time to draw out. Thanks!
Thanks Jace, it took a while, but got there eventually.

Hello in Guatemala :-)
This song reminds me of the movie Babe (the scene where the duck is going through the house), and my favorite song from the Babe soundtrack is Symphony No. 3 in C Minor, Op. 78: II. Maestoso by Camille Saint-Saens.
Also, Scherzo Capriccioso by Antonín Dvorák

Have you considered trying syncing to "Sacrificial Dance" from _The Rite of Spring?_ Might be a welcome challenge with its many time signatures.
Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I will listen and see if I think I can do a Line Rider to it.
Yayyyyyyy
It's like listening to music with spoilees
Haha, an interesting take on it :-)
Yey 👍👍👍👍👍

Awesome, glad to see you over here 😊. Full length videos here!
You and doodle chaos should collab
Haha, yeah it would be fun!
Why does it feel like I heard this before
You probably have, I think it's quite common music used in a number of places.
+Matthew Buckley, if you are reading this, good news! You have been named on Aled Jones' Breakfast show as May 2nd "Sunday Best" and if you go onto Global Player-into Catch up- and then look for Aled Jones- and play, you will hear it! I hope you had a chance to listen in! Congratulations mate!!!!!
Linda that's awesome! I did not know, but I will go and have a listen now. Thank you for letting me know 😊😊
I just listened! Thanks so much for the nomination and kind words 😊. I will definitely keep doing what I'm doing 👍
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider good man...he gave you a small task for you to do. so have fun and congratulations 🥳
A small task? I listened to what he said at 29 mins... was there more later?
No you're fine mate. He was saying to make a line rider to Haydn's cello concerto that the line riders may glide along to.
You should do Napoli!!!
Thanks for the suggestion!
How long does this take? It’s too perfect!
Roughly 25-30 hours each.
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider
Woah, Now THATS dedication.
Como seria el "Aquarium" de Saint Saëns en lineas?
Thanks, nice suggestion.
Please...let us have "sur le fil" by Yann Tiersen... piano and the violin version are masterpiece. 🖤
Thanks for the suggestion, I will listen to that piece to see if I could do a Line Rider to it.
