yeah her style is very reminiscent of Zam, her helmet has the same sort of profile with an eye slit, Zam had a cloth mask instead but it looks the same, along with an armored jacket look and being a sharpshooter

The lightsabers that the younglings wielded weren’t that dangerous. They used weak kyber crystals or different crystals to power them. The lightsabers couldn’t cut through stuff and such

When I saw the episodes title, I just knew that Grogu was getting kidnapped. What shocked me, was the Razor Crest getting blown apart amd I was a little surprised that Slave 1 was able to fly so close to the Imperial Cruiser without being shot!
I think "The Tragedy" was because of Razor Crest... and Salve 1 has stealth mode or a cloaking device or something.
I don’t think the cruiser realized or cared much about slave one since it couldn’t really do much to it. Also had the known it was on the planet it probably would have been destroyed like the Razorcrest
Yea I found that a little weird, also: that the Imperial forces would not notice a ship flying that close following their most precious cargo, or that they wouldn't then care to know what other forces were vying for that cargo.
I also thought (sadly, cuz I liked seeing Boba Fett go badass on them) it didn't make ANNNY sense that Boba Fett would choose to go killing a bunch of stormtroopers unnecessarily -he is a survivalist, and he's been tracking Mando for some time now, he WOULD NOT get himself on the Empire's, weakened or no (its still a MASSIVE coordinated military operation across space), hitlist, and since he worked directly with/for Vader, he'd be on some kind of file. He would NOT risk that just to be extra impatient about getting his armor back today rather than tomorrow. Their deal would only be violated if BOBA killed the Mando to take the armor (given their trade deal), but if he just completely removed himself from the sitaluation until Mando was dead by other hands, then retrieving the armor from the abandoned ship or from the Imperial Forces (who would agree cuz they'd check his positive record with the empire) would be fair game.
A lot of the core story of this episode made zero sense, like how far Mando "had" to park away, because......undescribed reasons? "too small to land"...okay, so why not NEXT to the circle of rocks on the hill vs half a mile away? Or, more importantly: okay, soooo WHY would Mando leave the jetpack off the ENTIRE episode? That would be literally his first move on seeing the troopers: to put that on. Oh right, to make the battle not completely one-sided immediately in Mando's team's favor (manufactured drama), and so that Grogu could be captured at the end (manufactured drama).
I REALLY enjoyed the episode, overall.....but many of the actual story beats made no fucking sense whatsoever lol. Like: apparently the galaxy's most hardass survivalist decided to bring a stick to a gunfight, lmao, YEA, that TOOOTALLY sounds like Boba Fett (NOT) 🤣
@@inventgineer 😂 you are putting too much thought to this. The whole show is made in a SuperMarioBros and Zelda format mixed with nostalgic memberberrys and cool visuals. "Thanks Mando but the princess is in another castle... I'll tell you where but do this quest for me first". Still, I'll take this TV show over that disney trilogy any time.

I found it interesting that Boba Fett would insist that Din take off his jet pack in order to negotiate. Probably because that would be the move he’d make.

Or they had to separate Mando from his jet pack for plot reasons, for him not to be able to reach the shadow troopers in time to save Grogu. It still leaves a plot hole since they just a few episodes back showed how the jet pack can be remote operated.

I love it when this new episode had some prequel references that includes reminders of jango Fett and those dark troopers they look like super battle droids.
I think the sabers that the younglings use are training sabers? And can only cause mild burns, though that might be legends now.
The blue butterfly Grogu reaches for before he goes in the trance seem similar to the ones Rey sees in the woods before she faces off with Kylo. They also appear in the Darth Vader comic in his vision where they likely represent the light side still within him.

I think someone will show up in the last episode to help the gang. I expect Bo Katan and/or Ahsoka to be with the gang to get Grogu back so if it's Ezra there will not be any confusing "who the hell are you" moment.

People on Reddit were able to decipher the Mando'a chain code, and it tells a lot.
It gives Boba's name on the top right bit, the column to the left of that reads "Father Fett", to the left of that it says "Mentor Jaster", next to that it says "Concord Dawn", then "The year, the", and then "Took into", and the furthest left column translates to "Foundling".
I'm happy i can cosplay boba and be more accurate, i liked the armor with the robe

As cool as that would be, the ship has probably already sailed for Kyle. Rogue One was pretty much Dark Forces with Krennic being Rom Mohc, Cassian Andor being Kyle-lite, and Jyn Erso being Jan Ors-lite (Jyn's name is even an anagram of Jan Ors).

@@kingofmonsters14 There are, but Kyle isn't going to be Kyle if he doesn't have his original origin which defines him for his later adventures, and which was split up into Cassian and Jyn's stories. They also used a lot of elements regarding Kyle for Star Wars Rebels with Kanan, so I don't think you're going to see a Kyle Katarn done justice like what they've done for Grand Admiral Thrawn, whose origin was left relatively unchanged or was mildly altered to fit the new canon.

@@DanielRieger Windu was strong enough to overpower Palpatine. Force users fall from great heights all the time. He was in Coruscant (flying cars) so I don’t think it’s too far-fetched to assume he survived. He has a greater chance to be alive that dead. Just because we haven’t seen him up untill now doesn’t mean he won’t come back (which he is)

I translated the runes on the seeing stone. It says “ I knew I should’ve taken that left turn at Albuquerque”
my whole life i’ve always been taught that boba was a bad ass. The rumours the escape the pit the “legendary” bounty hunter but when he flew in with his armour on i genuinely screamed just as loud as i did when cap lifted mjolnir it was glorious. I have watched it atleast 60 times since. A couple of minutes of screen time to make a star wars fan dream come true. Thank you.
Armor still isn't Beskar... They even confirmed this - It's Jango's old Armor, which was Durasteel... So if it's Jango's old armor, it's still Durasteel... hence the dents, scratches and damage.
Clearly retconned
Nope, Boba blew up Jango's armor to try and spring a trap on Maul in The Clone Wars show. It's likely that Jango had 2 sets of armor, and the one Boba wears now was an old set Jango wore during his days serving in the Mandalorian Civil war. That's probably why it's so scuffed up and damaged.
The blue armor, despite being made out of the weaker durasteel, didn't get nearly as damaged while he was doing bounty work for the guild.

Two little details I noticed was that boba’s undershirt tank top thing was the same thing the din wore before getting his full beskar armor and also that when boba uses the gaffi stick the sound that plays in the background sounds a lot like a tuskin raider yell

very true, @Alessandro, alot of plot holes here. Why did Mando not pick back up his jetpack and fly up to the top of the mountain to get grogu, why didnt Moff Gideon send down 2 ships of troopers and then dark troopers same time and snatch the kid.
I think Bobba was probably tracking his armour. There's probably something within all the tech in his armour that he could home in on. Why he didn't take it from the Marshall way before the Crayt Dragon episode is a mystery though.
For me, this episode was the best yet. It was great last week seeing Ahsoka, but that was basically giving us stuff we'd seen already in animated form. This one though...getting to see Boba Fett in action for the first time ever, seeing why he's got the reputation he has, and also having him on the side of the good guys!

The way Boba survived is that once parts of Jabbas barge fell into the pit slicing it up and killing it, this is in the aftermath series so it is canon

Those shackles were also used in the Clone Wars when Cad Bane trapped Ashoka. Season 2 Episode 2.
First screen appearance of the Dark Troopers was in Star Wars Rebels episode The Wynkahthu Job. Grand Admiral Thrawn was conducting Unarmed Combat Training against them

Eric from New Rockstars translated Boba's Chain Code. It confirms that the armor originated from Jaster, who was Jango's mentor, then given to Jango. The original owner, or the crafter of the armor was Mandalorian, and Jango was a foundling, which makes him Mandalorian, which makes Boba Mandalorian.

@@agitadora60 Perhaps. I mean, it was an awesome episode but that was just one thing that kept ringing in my head after they had come to a truce after the stand off. Both him and boba in jet packs could have definitely taken out those four droids and rescued Grogu, I feel like the story would have been even more exciting if they had atleast tried and then failed to rescue him.

I think the scene where Boba shows up in armor is a nod to Tony emerging from the cave in the Mark I armor in Iron Man and just tearing shit up. Favreau had a hand in both works.
