Rich… stop pretending you’re new to this stuff.
He gets worse and worse with his blind takes on things in the league. He wants sooooo bad to be buddies with everyone and doesn’t wanna give up his prestigious spot so he placates to everyone with dumb statements like “I don’t know why RBs aren’t getting paid” … it’s something 12 year olds understand. They get injured with the wear and tear of their position, the game is more offensive friendly so even mid-level guys can produce, and they have the lowest learning curve of the skill positions coming into the league. If this was back in the 80/90s era with guys needed to ram the crowded line and fight off vicious hits and keep going then the value of those top tier RBs would show but now those guys aren’t needed so they don’t get compensated that way anymore. When Rich stops working for the league and starts his own podcast, I wonder if he’ll start to be real again …

The RB thing is entirely about value. I don’t necessarily agree with it. But the shelf life on RBs is CRAZY short compared to WRs. And the drop off is so crazy it’s insane. Too many team got stuck holding bad contracts. Gurley and Zeke are prime examples. The hesitancy to me is just fear because of the history of the contracts and that position. I also think coaches just feel like they can find RBs anywhere. There’s a SELECT few who truly deserve fat contracts and those are the guys like CMC

Judge and Soto is unfair. Juan Soto is so good. Soto is still my MVP cause of how he’s turned around the mid Yankees and his numbers are just as insane as Judge. However, if Judge has another 17HR month then Judge will be my MVP.
The thing that makes me mad is that I desperately wanted my team(Cubs) to trade for Soto because I knew he was this good.
