    We are all born with the right beliefs , such as unlimited confidence. We are thought and programmed out of them

    • @Alphacentauri819

      A belief is something programmed in (or reprogrammed) what you are describing is a knowing. That surpasses belief. We can develop any belief (erroneous and otherwise) as a result of emotion+repetition.
      When we don't question those beliefs, we are often imprisoned to them.

      We are born a clean slate, tabula rasa. All the conditioning was imposed upon us by our parents, family, education, religion, society & everywhere everyday. They developed our belief system which defines our persona, behaviours, actions and hence our destiny. All beliefs are illusion of self imposed limited thinking that imprison our entire life. We can only be free when we are awakened to a higher level of consciousness where the illusion of beliefs are dissolved.

    Your beliefs are a roadmap that can bring you to happiness or to misery. You can train your mind to control your thoughts or you can let them run astray and take you to wherever. It's your choice.

    I've just realized I have limiting beliefs around me and my "talent" as an artist. Aside from giving up on art, I can't explain the number of ways this has impacted me. Hence why I am working to reverse it. I hope we all overcome our fears and limiting beliefs, because we can ✨.

    Hello, I am interested with part belief and fact. Thank you for created the video. In fact, I had misguided by my own lecturer back in the day that I ain't able become police psychologist. Since that day, I am befriend with limiting belief. I failed my police entrance test. I do failed my master degree psychology test and the best-worst part, I work as customer service and changing job once a year. Until one day, the cognitive dissonance is way too much and I need to do something. About the CAFI, on me is going rough as the limiting belief and anxiety is governed me since 2014. I wanna go out from this situation. Hopefully I can successfully escape. Thank you!

    4:55 Sometimes Age is a Fact. If you want to become an Olympic gymnast and win a world title, starting at 50 might be next to impossible to achieve. What you have to do is actually analyze if any of the points you are invoking for not doing it is a dependency of the process. In this case, age is a dependency in the process of obtaining an extremely athletic body. Even if you you gymnastics for 15 years, at 65, you will still have extremely slim chances to compete with a 25 year old who did gymnastics for 15 years.

    • @fuyutsuki5822
      @fuyutsuki5822 5 років тому +1

      Exactly. Assume the same amount of effort is spent, the one with the higher starting point triumph.
      I think the point is, however, the starting point doesn’t matter, if you want to chase your dream, chase it, just take consideration of the chance of fail, success is not, is never, guaranteed.
      If you don’t care about the possible bad outcome, go for it; if you do, weight it out, see which one is more important: chance for your dream to success, or (don’t want to have the) chance for you to fail.

His name is İlhan Mansız. So I believe age may be a handicap but if you believe in yourself you can do impossible things.

    but wouldn't a goal be a belief? So you're talking about changing beliefs except when it fails then it's the wrong belief so it's an untestable hypothesis, which makes it rubbish.

    • @JohnM...
      @JohnM... 3 роки тому

      A goal is a desired state of existence, and you can program your mind to believe that goal has already been reached (even if it hasn't) then all the beliefs that are in the way HAVE TO dissolve into nothing, because two contrary beliefs can't exist simultaneously.

    • @Teddypally
      @Teddypally 3 роки тому

      @@JohnM...
      That literally makes no sense.
      If a person's desired state of existence is not to be in a state of hunger; and they program their mind to believe they are not in a state of hunger. Then they'd die from hunger. Your claim is that then all the beliefs that are in the way HAVE TO dissolve into nothing because two contrary beliefs can't exist simultaneously.
      They'd be dead so there is no dissolving of beliefs on their part. Another person observing that behaviour of someone starving themselves to death might come to a conclusion that is how the person arrived at their state of death by starvation.
      That other person might have the choice of two contrary beliefs, but not the person who actually makes said the choice to starve to death.
      I hope I explained that clearly because it seems to me you are attempting to learn from the experiences of others.
      How that works is when one distinguishes between action and outcomes, one can see another's state of experience as both actions taken and outcomes of those actions. And then attempt to duplicate those actions to accomplish those outcomes.
      The taking of action, i.e. work, may not be the desired state of existence but the rationalization of it causing the outcome, which is the desired state of existence, is what drives this development.
      The foetal perspective, where one automatically obtains the outcomes of the actions of the bearer of the foetus, might be a reality for the foetus but once birthed, that reality isn't an accurate context for further rationalization.
      In other words, what you say makes sense if you were a foetus but as I am assuming you are not because you're typing your comment, it literally makes no sense. Somehow, though, you've convinced yourself to adopt the perspective of a foetus. At least that what it seems like to me.

    Take *responsibility* for your *life*. Nobody did anything to you, you have control.

    • @Alphacentauri819
      @Alphacentauri819 2 роки тому

      While I agree with take responsibility...it is often very untrue that "nobody did anything to you".
      Many times, the poor choices, patterns, result from people having had things done to them. To say they had control is erroneous...a child is often quite powerless. Hence, many attachments wounds, from attachment trauma, contribute to "coping" and managing life in ways that are in destructive. However, it helped them keep as "safe" as they could try to do.
      Maybe you could differentiate that people can become empowered and know their own agency...once they heal those childhood wounds.
      Having worked with thousands of patients, decades of study in psychology and now workings towards a PhD in neuroscience...I promise you, people do have things done to them...especially in childhood. To be blind to that, is to be dismissive, invalidating and essentially damaging. Children, who were victims of abuse...already struggle with the erroneous belief that it's their fault (feeding into your narrative of "nobody did anything to you, you have control")...they felt like they "should've" done something different. This leads to a false belief of them having more control over situations, and take more responsibility (than is sometimes theirs), setting up for abuse dynamics in adult relationships.
      It behooves one to be very deeply aware of the root causes of attachment injury, cognitive distortions, false narratives, limiting beliefs etc...to individualize & heal those first.
      While your statement applies to some people...the variances, multifaceted, multilayered dynamics of each individual needs to be carefully considered. I do agree that external locus of control is unhealthy...but people need to often be gently guided there, supported, validated, to seeing internal locus of control & getting out of learned helplessness.
