- In this video I change the window regulator in my 2010 ford escape. If your window wont roll up or down, you probably need to change the regulator. This is a fairly easy job, you just remove the door panel, take the old regulator out, and then bolt in the new one.
Very useful. Extra points for brevity and getting it done in under 6 minutes, instead of 20+. Kudos.
This was great! Well directed with good shots of the parts. I followed along and had an incredibly easy experience - and saved a couple hundred bucks too! Thanks for sharing!
Great video, worked for us pretty easy. Only thing I would add was there was a hidden panel under the handle hiding that screw, took a minute to figure that out.
Dude, you have such a gentle demeanor, thank you for explaining everything. I have one question, how do you know that the regulator is bad and my motor is working but I guess it's all one piece? We came out to our car from church and our back window was halfway down and basically just dropped down so is that a dead giveaway that the regulator is bad?
Great presentation thanks for sharing, I just did the same exact side for my wife's car.
How did you get the cord on. My window fell and I’m looking at the regulator. It looks like the cord came off the regulator. The one that was hanging out of your door by the track.
That doesn’t look too hard to do. Thank you
Thank you
thanks for the help!!
so, did you close the door and the window suddenly fell? That's what mine did on my 2012 and i assume it's the same issue.
Yes that is what happened.
@@rrh5000 , i couldn't find a regulator assy on rock auto but i did find a drive gear on their site i might try to replace. Advance sells the assy with motor for about $100, less if you order online for instore pickup and use the 25% discount.
ohh yes thats what exactly what happend to my ford escape 2012 as well, so do i need to replace the window regulator?
I found my window has just completely fell down last night. Could this be the regulator?
yes
Can you tell me what the model number is for the part or where to order the part?
I got it off of Rock Auto website. Just select the correct make, year, model, ECT. Then just search for window regulator and motor assembly. I think they have a few options that will work.
Thanks for the info and video!
