- An animation of the Julia sets z^2 + c along the x axis followed by a scan along the i axis.

(Rebuilt the video so it is in true HD...I'm still not sure about the colors...can't seem to make it brighter without losing detail...perhaps I should stop using purple!)
I find the value of i at 2:00 to 2:01 to be most interesting because it appears to show a transition from extreme beauty to utter annihilation. What is the value of i at that point?
there are clearly a few points of transition.
The value of i always equals √-1 (':

Around 0-0.666i, in fractal hell, where chaos and order clash in an eternal struggle.
Ok, maybe more around 0-0.645i, but that wouldn't be so dramatic. Still made me think about how we correlate perceptions like aesthetic appeal with mathematical regularity or seemingly chaotic numerical behaviour.
It appears at times to show gravitational patterns at times, and wave function like patterns, keep experimenting with these offsets, it is really interesting
Music is awesome, and fits perfectly with the video.

WE , VERY MUCH , LIKE THE MUSIC. AND THE VIDEO. WE THANK YOU.
I found the value of at 0:41 this is intresting because its like Multibrot
I like this music
Wow! Gorgeous!
Would you mind if I made a video adding sound design to the second sweep? This video just screams "dimensional portal opening" and I wanted to make it sound like it too. I'd credit and link you, obviously, I wasn't raised in the jungle.
hi I'm still interested in posting the video if you'd let me
maybe he not see the comment, make sense cuz he not post video in long time

Great job. Beautiful.
What application do you use ?
see i like the music but it sounds way overdriven, like it was put through a preamp made out of a potato. I love what's going into the potato, though! love retro synths
Heh! Thanks! The music was a piece I did many years ago...was playing around with REALLY overdriving some distortion through a reverb. (multiple reverbs if memory serves.)
Damnimp oof! ouch! yikes! good composition tho
Beautiful! Love it!
SO COOL AKJDKD
z^2 + c = mandelbrot
z^2 + ci = Julia set?
1:05 black Hole Fractal
Julia set tutorial good!!!!
The song....
The music is too loud
But its ok
Hi

thx for great video. Showing c parameter (in the left bottom corner) is nice . Here are 2 parts: folowing x axis ang y axis. In first part how do you chooss points ( steps) ? In the second part IMHO following internal rays should be better : en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Fractals/Iterations_in_the_complex_plane/Mandelbrot_set_interior#Internal_rays
Done that in 3d
