Watch collecting is really a part of your personality. It evolves with you. Discovery, nostalgia, enthusiasm, self criticism and eventually some degree of clarity on what works for you.

It’s very true. I have been given advice that I ignored many times over the years. Thank you Robert I appreciate you.

On a serious note, this is great advice. I need time travel so I can go back to 2007 with this advice 😂

Facts. Spilt milk for me to. Hopefully it reaches someone early on that saves them from regret. Unless that just want a huge collection then that’s cool to.

Anyway, the only watches worth buying are mass machine produced watches under $1000 and handcrafted watches in the plus $20,000 price range.
In the $1000 to $20,000 price range you are just throwing money at machine made mass produced product where 80% of the cost is marketing.

There is definitely something to be said about diminishing returns at particular price points depending on the brand. I would be privy so the specifics but I’m picking up what your putting down. Thanks for your input my friend.

I've heard this so much and just don't get it, haha. I'm over 730 watches now, and zero regrets. As long as you're enjoying what you buy, and not in any kind of dire financial condition, stop telling people how to live. You're doing nothing wrong when watches bring you joy without negative consequences. Who cares how often you wear it. 🤦

I respect your truth my friend. I’m still going to voice mine though. Everyone gets to decide what they want to do at the end of the day. Would love to see your collection you probably have some really cool stuff. Appreciate you 👍

@@Skyler.SantanaThanks, it's become quite varied, started with Invicta, then expanded into microbrands, Swatch Group, and finally Breitling, TAG, Rado, Longines, Seiko, Squale, etc.
I do understand your perspective, but I just get weary of channels telling people how or what to buy. There's no "wrong" way in this hobby, except (from my view), overspending when it's just not necessary.
When I began, over 20 years ago, there was a premium paid for features such as ceramic, even sapphire, and high power reserve movements. Not these days. Shoot, even cheap stuff is well made now, so, yeah, I think everyone should do what brings them joy, not obsess about rules for what should be a stress free enjoyment.
Trying to do it "right" nearly destroyed the happiness of the hobby, for me, years back. Returning to the fun of it is really the key, I feel. And I thank @trapvision3d for helping me see that truth. His enthusiasm changed my perspective, for sure. Appreciate your words!

That’s quite a journey! I totally agree everyone should be proud of the path they took as there is no way to travel the wrong way. I by no means am trying to dictate a definite process and will be more transparent with my opinion as it is a responsibility that comes with public opinion broadcasting. I’m all Bout encouraging every single collector and hopefully positively getting someone into collecting in the process. I appreciate you communicating. Trap is definitely a source of inspiration and I look to be an asset to my own mission.
If you are willing I would love for you to express your self on one of my lives and show case your collection and tell your journey if you are willing. Cheers 🍻

Dont listen to this man. Your worth as a person is solely on the size of your collection! Buy buy buy buy!!! 😁😎😈
