I was impressed by the presentations of the "magic" of the laws of physics and the meticulous craftsmanship. A most entertaining video. I would still like to know what took ten years, as stated in the headline. Thanks.
Well if it DID take 10 yrs of using clickbait, then the statement is true. Which makes it not clickbait.Which makes the statement false again. Which makes it clickbait again...The perpetual motion paradox?
0:56 this thing really works. I built a Bismuth levitator myself 10 years ago. The little magnet just keeps floating for years and years, not touching anything. It doesn't require any power. You can spin the magnet and it will keep spinning for quite a long time, eventually stopping the rotation due to eddy currents and air friction. But it will levitate indefinitely. This does not violate energy conservation and it's not perpetual motion either, just passively stable levitation. Really fascinating physics gadget.
it is clear that we can use many examples from the laws of physics in our lives to get more out of everyday time without harming the environment as we do today...
These videos should be required viewing in every 6th grade science class. The wonder of it all creates questions and that's what we need kids to do, think.
@@gggc1003 You're most certainly right, but if I were running a UA-cam channel, I'd appreciate feedback. Perhaps the channel in question will also. Thanks for yours. Cheers, D.
Glad to hear that :D Science is a way of life. Science is a perspective. Science is the process that takes us from confusion to understanding in a manner that's precise, predictive and reliable - a transformation, for those lucky enough to experience it, that is empowering and emotional..
One imagines a substantial investment in establishing precise measurements for these designs to operate optimally. Beautiful work. New Subscriber. Physics becomes increasingly fascinating with accumulating time on planet. Imagine a "toy" that interacts with Our planet's magnetic field and varies in its performance with geomagnetic storms following Flares and Coronal Mass Ejections. Those should be much in demand in the coming years.

Hummm. Very interesting. I wonder if you attach an led to one side of the Faraday train coil and the other side of the coil would it light up? What an interesting vid, nice job.
I’m thinking that the battery’s current flow is into the coil the magnet is touching, across a dozen or so coils to the magnet on the other end of the battery. I’m not sure how a voltage potential would be created across the two ends of the coil?

Finding out how much clickbait is the right amount. These thumbnails are getting absurd.

Likewise, you can get a piece of pyrolytic carbon and it will levitate above a a bunch of neodymium magnets without any further tricks.
