      That would be an awful viewers experience, I don't really know how many people that would be truthfully but it becomes extremely difficult the more people you have in a podcast to not speak over each other and to have everyone get a word in. This is why they almost always have 4 people on the podcast, it's the right amount where everyone can talk and get their opinion out while not being too many

    Thing is, Heesu is a low resource DPS, he doesn’t seem to pop off at the level of others, but it means you can bring in a high resource player (tank or dps) and still do well. I don’t know the other dps players other than a game here or there, so not sure if they need resources to succeed. Might just need all that support for the tanks :)

  • @GroundUnderMedia
    @GroundUnderMedia 2 роки тому +9

    I think we are underrating Heesu as a whole. You really need to look at the team as a whole last year. Heesu certainly had down moments but compared to other top teams their dps are so much more enabled. No doubts Heesu is gonna pop off this year with a more competent team surrounding him like other great DPS out there have.

  • @MehrzaadMir

    I think the tank takes undersell them a bit, Hotba is very flexible, and it seems like MuZe had problems with LA's coaching style. I think Hotba is a very solid off tank, MuZe has high potential, we'll need to see if he can unlock it this season. If he does, this team is outstanding. if not, Hotba is flexible enough and can pull his own weight.

    I don't quite agree with the "hotba was on 5 different teams across 5 seasons" argument, or rather see some counter points: I can't talk for 2018 and 2019, but in 2020 he did show synergy issues, yet nyxl did an almost complete rebuild the next year. In fusion, he got signed as an emergency pickup anyway and wasn't supposed to stay for longer anyway. You could say that him not working out was part of the reason why nyxl rebuilt, and being picked up as an emergency player isn't a great look either, but I just wanted to point those two situations out.

    • @CrazeeAdam
      @CrazeeAdam 2 роки тому +2

      So on 2018 it's not exactly fair to judge him, because he barely played on Fusion, Poko played like 100% of the time that year. In 2019 he played for Charge and he actually looked quite good when he played. He actually mainly played DPS granted, but he did play some off tank and he looked good on both. In 2020 he joined NYXL, and while he wasn't great, that whole team looked very lost, like so lost a lot of the time. Like they did not seem to know what they were doing really. 2021, he joins Phili again and he looked so much better, he looked like he was on the up tick for the most part and him, along with Tobi who joined the team at the last second, looked amazing on it given their situation. IMO he really only had 1 bad year playing and that's 2020. Every other year he looked quite good.
      To me you could make the statement, "this guy played for so many teams, he can't be good, he can't get along with people", but you could also make the argument "he's played for so many teams and is 1 of only 17 people (2 of which are coaches) who are still left in the league from season 1, he must be good actually"

    Muze incredibly poor?? Cause his rein was weak? No one is saying Gator had a poor season cause he can’t play Ball. Gladiators were the same tier as Atlanta, just one tricking dive instead of bunker/rush. How is one ok but not the other? Muze was good.

I am a Toronto fan through and through (I live somewhat near the city), but most of the time they are an afterthought in the league. They haven't even been bad enough to be a meme like Vancouver last season; just painfully mediocre since their very first day in the league. Sure, the backline is amazing on paper. But this is OW2 and the support life is going to be hard. TD could be good, but my money is on bottom half. I don't think Heesu can/will step it up. Muze isn't flexible enough so I feel like anything but a hard ball/winston meta Hotba will usually start. But Hotba's more selfish, aggressive playstyle will leave the backline vulnerable and without a strong enough DPS core to reliably follow up on Hotba's aggression and confirm kills the backline will be under extreme pressure, die early and won't be able to consistently live up to their potential.
