Foreign Beggars Case Study

In April 2024, UK hip-hop collective @foreignbeggars celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut studio album, ‘Asylum Speakers.’ The celebration featured a series of four shows across Europe, culminating in a headline performance at @earthevolutionaryartshackn8264 (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) in East London.
To elevate the experience, the show incorporated a huge 8 x 2 meter NovaStar Technology LED video-wall on stage. The live audio/visual production featured graphics and tour footage streamed in real-time by the front-of-house VJ. This content was mixed on-the-fly with live video from the stage, via Serato music software, with the Pioneer PRO AUDIO S11 Mixer operated by the DJ, our own DJ Nonames (James Miller)
Reliable and robust Audio/Video signal extension was essential for the show to run smoothly. To ensure this, we used Xcalibur 11 (www.sy.co.uk/viewProduct/XCAL...) extenders and a 50-meter HDMI Centaur Armoured AOC (www.sy.co.uk/viewProduct/CENT..., to provide no latency and dependable AV signal extension throughout the 90 minute performance.
