That’s when the Raiders were the Raiders🏆🏆🏆 them days are long gone
I'm glad I got to see those glory days especially in Oakland with George Blanda and Daryle Lamonica. Eating Colossal Dogs and drinking Buckets of beer "not cups".
@@tired7140 when the Raiders were the Raiders💯👍
Lester Hayes # 37 not being in the Hall of Fame is Pure Blasphemy
"In the old days they used to put Stick'em on their hands, now they got them gloves" John Madden from Madden Football 2000-2009 versions
When your Jerry Rice you use both.
The NFL outlaw Stick’em in 1981 the Raiders were defending Super Bowl champion that year
Rip John madden man ( 1:05 )
I remember stick ‘em. Like they said Lester Hayes was the king and likely the reason it was banned. Unbelievable it has been 40 years!! Christ.
Ngl Lester Hayes now coaches for the Broncos at Modesto Christian high school and he coaches me and I’m 12
It’s criminal that Lester Hayes not in the HOF
Hall of Fame is more for the popular players, you know just like High School.
The gloves WRs wear is the new stickum
Statutory Grape trust me gloves aren’t that much hekp
DarkNight345 you must suck then lol
Trust me the gloves today are 10x better than gloves back then
@@BlakeCodGuy1 my ass someone ever grab your bare arm while wearing good gloves, that shit hurts like a mf
@@ChefBojack I’ve been starting on my HS team for four years. If you’re good you don’t need gloves.
Absolutely enjoyed watching the Raiders players with stick em!!!!!
Lester Hayes was awesome, I loved watching him play the game, he most definitely should be in the Hall of Fame
Best corner back in man coverage. Would blow Deion out of the water but because he had a bad stutter and avoided the media he got a bad rap!!
Raider Rule No. 1: Cheating Is Encouraged. Raider Rule No.2: See Rule No.1
I had a ex 49er from the 50's for a football coach in High School. The school removed him from coaching after a few years because he was teaching the players every trick in the book. The players didn't mind at all.
Anyone who played the first NFL Street game knows how valuable Lester Hayes is.
Lester "The Molester" Hayes. My dad always talks about that guy and his Stick em lol.
LOVED these guys!!!
I swear one day imma have like 200 Raiders jerseys😂
This why i gave up on buying new jerseys as a skins fan...now if i buy one it will only be a throwback/certified great player.
@@skyblaze1134 Sean Taylor
I only need one #32 TATUM but there are many more greats on that team.
@@skyblaze1134 It didn't make much sense buying a jersey after free agency started. Two years later the player would be on another team. There goes $150 bucks down the drain.
Great video
Thanks for the visit
This is an awesome story lol 😂 great stuff
Had me laughing all the way through. I remember these two guys and their socks covered with Stickum every game.
Put Lester in the hall . It’s absurd he’s a legend
Lester was crazy good back them, the Raiders used anything they could to win, he had a bad stutter, but was just a great cornerback, fit in perfectly on the Good ship misfit, which was basically what the raiders were, talented rejects that other teams quit on , and they came together to win games and SB including my favorite QB, Jim Plunkett, heisman trophy winner, who NE gave up on, and he became a super bowl winning QB with the Raiders/
What year of the raiders are you talking about? I'm interested in the team after the way you described them
@@bandolierboy1908 I don't remember exactly but the early 80's I believe.
@@tired7140 thank you!!
Y'all need to pay him for the nfl glove concept asap. And cut me in☺️
I remember this
Love me some Lester Hayes 👍🏈
Jerry Rice just admitted to using the stuff so should he receive an asterisk next to his name like so many other players who used banned substances?
Yes
How about today with everyone using those gloves ? Rice might have tabbed his tips and did wear baseball gloves but it wasn’t all over the place. How about the linemen who would put Vaseline or Baby-oil on there arms or jerseys so defensive linemen couldn’t grab them….. it can go on and on bud.
My bedroom in college looked like that, no box spring mattress on the ground right next to the electrical outlet little did I know I wasn’t actually poor It was just Montessori style 😂
How is Lester Hayes not in the HOF when other successful players who used it are?
Race
@@gunsandglory1861 yet 69% of the nfl is black...

Freddie was also a pretty good receiver without it
lol I remember watching this
Must have been extremely tough to smoke the halftime pack of cigarettes.
And drink all night the night before the game. That's what Kenny Stabler did on a regular basis and he still kicked ass on game day that's how good he was.
How after one game they didn't ban it is beyond me.
Was this tree sap?
RIP the snake
I MISS SNAKE STABLER SO MUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
What a Crying Shame. That was 1970s NFL at it's Best.
Shit was so messy dude wtf 🤣🤣
Jerry Rice used it after it was banned.
Did he say that he used to hate Mondays?
Biletnikoff didn't need stickum, He had the best hands of any wide receiver I ever saw.
bc of stickum..
im drunk lol
Sober yet?

Lester Hayes was black they wasn’t rocking with him .
Raider Rule #1: Cheating is encouraged!
Its wasnt cheating when it was used… soooo…..
@@cashbeastegaming The Raiders DID help get it banned though.
Stickum wasn’t banned in the NFL until 1981
@@steadydropnemIs it any coincidence that the Stickum ban was imposed in the immediate aftermath of Lester Hayes being 1 interception shy of a single season record?
Cheating is encourage like Al Davis said.
Pisses me off...i hate the saying "if you're not cheating you're not trying"..
Like wtf does a win/good game mean, when deep down you know you cheated...some people are just sooo ok with that shit and have no integrity, its disgusting.
@@skyblaze1134 Well it wasn't really cheating because it wasn't against the rules. Any receiver or db could lather themselves in stickum if they choose to. The NFL should've banned it once they saw it being used but they didn't until '81
@@geminiman7791 steroids weren’t illegal either but it sure gave the Steelers an advantage
Damn 2:00 seeing Darrell Russell jersey RIP
It's cheating now, no argument
Thats illegal even back then come on guys thats literally a white lie cheat code. Smh😂😂😂

Wtf does this have to do with the chiefs? Typical.
