I am so sorry for your loss, a dog is not a pet, is a family member. I have two Siberian Huskies and one of them has a tumor in her head that cannot be operated and that tumor gives her seizures, is not a pretty sight when she has the seizures. She is my baby and I spoil rotten her every day. It is just a matter of time when her meds are not going to help her anymore and I will have to put her down. Up to that point in time I will cherished her one day at a time. God bless these lovely family members. Best regards from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
No, him. He is a literal dog-human hybrid. A dog person. Dogman, if you will. Homo-canis. A lot of my friends think that they're a dog; This guy really is. How else do you explain those noises? Science.
This guy knows how to communicate with his dog using body language, verbal cues, and appropriate tact in escalating engagement which he learned from observing their instinctive communication. He could be more nuanced in the approach, but he's excited so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. So the fact that you don't recognize this suggests that you're either not a "dog person" or just haven't spent enough time around dogs to discover that you are. It's about your ability to observe, understand, and replicate genuine behavior. Most people don't even get to the observation part because the dog is, in all psychological reality, just a fuckin toy to them. Or maybe I'm just a narcissist, that's a very real possibility. But yeah you could probably successfully cross-identify as a cowman in modern western society just for enjoying mooing with cows and if anyone gives you shit about it just go bawl your eyes out to your Tumblr circlejerk. Note: That was not a statement against trans anything. Note note: I shouldn't have had to make that note and this point proves my original point.
My dog does this if I’ve been out for ten minutes! Several years ago I ran a music store and the owner had a dog, Kelly, that quickly became my best friend. 3-4 times a day I would walk with her down to a local restaurant so I could get my fixes of iced tea. She would always wait patiently outside the door and then would follow me back to the store. Well, I eventually left and went on to other things. About six years later I went back to the store to see how things were doing. I went into the owner’s office and Kelly was under his desk, growling at me. This went on for five minutes when suddenly there was a racket under the desk and Kelly came sprinting out, jumped up on me and began licking me crazily on my face. It took her that long but she finally remembered me. I guess by smell. I once read an “expert” once that said dogs don’t have long term memory. BS.
He probably hates children, babies, authority figures, work, Conservatives, Democrats who are not far left enough, thinks it's cool when his buddy feeds live mammals to his snake...he's that kind of guy.
The love an animal has is unbelievable. So glad I've known it. From big & small. I still cry over the ones who passed. They fill my heart. Memories that can't or won't pass. Bless them all.
@Vitale I have a 15 year old Cocker Spaniel. Showing his age. I tell myself I have given him the same life I'd give to my own child to try to get that "He's had a very good life" feeling to help cope and prepare myself. I dread the day that I know is nearing. You see others post who are still hurting 10 or 20 years later. That too is my fear. The dog I had before was when I was 22. He ran out of the yard after a stray dog and was hit by 2 cars and killed immediately. I am now 60 and it still haunts me.

ANNA belle their most developed sense is their smell. That’s why sometimes they will bark at you after seeing you and then just lick your fave after smelling you
Jordan Allen dogs recognize a person's voice before their appearance. You can see the dog go "wait a min..." once the guy starts barking, then the dog nervously crawls toward him when he calls his name, because he's still unsure but knows that voice. The excitement happens after he confirms the smell. Running back to mom like he's saying "It's him! It's him!". So sweet.

Reminds of our family dog. When I moved away to city I only come to our family home every 6 months and every time he sees me coming from afar he would lean his 2 feet forward figuring out if it's me who is coming. I used to trick him also by changing my moves, but once he figured out and recognized me, he would dash his way to me and grinning in joy. That dog actually grins literally when he is happy. He would never allow me to enter the house and sit down without hugging him. Then one day I visited my parents again, I was surprised that he did not receive me and when I asked my parents, they told me that he was gone. He was turning 16 when he passed away, I think the maximum age in the life span of a dog.

This video made me very happy to watch. I'm so sorry to hear that he has since passed away I'm so happy for you that you had this video. What an amazing reaction it just proves that animals have feelings too and we should all as a human race be more considerate to animals.
In June 2007 I tried to get my drunk father to capture this almost identical meeting with my dog, after being away, but only for 9 to 10 weeks. My Percy‘s reaction was almost identical to this first growling, a little barking, but very quickly the outpouring of love. My father thought it was a stupid thing to do so I had to try to capture it myself with my Sony Handy cam that I had brought to Honolulu with me… I was of course more interested in hugging my dogs and taking his pictures so it’s so shaky you really miss that key moment, the expression in his eyes etc. so thank you so much for filming this and allowing me to relive that memorable moment… it sounds stupid for me to say this but I had never heard of anyone else doing it before and I was always genuinely fascinated by my dogs intelligence… So when it became really trendy later on, and dog food commercials or banking commercials or other people doing it blah blah blah I would like to meet someone who did it before I did… I guess I’m only saying this because it’s so ironic that my own father called it stupid, and it just represents for me how little recognition I ever got for so many innovative things I did in my life.... I would love someone to tell me that they themselves did it also, before there were iPhones, Wat before The word selfie was even in existence… Way before everybody was conveniently walking around with cameras in their pockets... more importantly this is just coming from a place where I am so blown away by how similar it was to my own experience that didn’t forgive me for feeling so hated by the world right now LOL!
Unfortunately Jake passed away this year. It's nice to have this video to remember him by and see so many people find some joy from it 😇

That was the man's reaction towards his dog after 2 years.
Oh!!!!! He's beside himself with happiness!! ❤ ... and so are you!
This video made me very happy to watch. I'm so sorry to hear that he has since passed away I'm so happy for you that you had this video. What an amazing reaction it just proves that animals have feelings too and we should all as a human race be more considerate to animals.
Guy is more dog than the dog. I love your style, Dylan
You are important and you are loved.
Such amazing animals. They never forget us. 🐾🐶❤
You weren't watching the clip. They really did forget or didn't care much. Not what I expected. Really kind of sad.
My dog reacts like that when I walk out the front door and walk straight back in 🤣🤣acts like I've left him for years 🤣🤣
I love how rushes back: "Mom! Look who this is!"
The title should be "I React to my Dog after 2 Years" LOL Dogs are totally FABULOUS !
Amazing how it takes a smell to make the dogs realize who they are!
Sorry for your loss. I just saw this. My Bella died this morning. I was watching videos to help me. This was beautiful. Thank you❤
