Mistermeowskers Thehunter I know, have been playing since 3U. I was never really into LS though, until now. MHW really made every weapon much more fun to use, but my main has been LS so far, it just plays so smooth

I'm currently using the Extermination Edge, but I'm having a hard time deciding what armor and decorations to go for. Any tips would be appreciated! (I'm a new player btw, first mh game. Hey when you do that slash (not sure if the name) where you press Circle and triangle together, how do you make it combo so it glows you white and insantly levels up your long sword? All it does for me is uses my spirit gauge and doesn’t power anything up ( the move you do when Diablo goes under ground and you backstep out the way)
Titanite Slab it is actually O as opening, and R2+O when countering, if this succeed, it will fill up the guage, immediate followed up by R2 to level up
Titanite Slab The move you're probably asking about is the foresight slash. It's the one where he glows blue then follows up with a roundhouse slash after the counterattack which levels up the spirit gauge.
I'm not sure if it's in this game (since I'm waiting for the PC release before playing World), but I feel like Peak Performance would be a great skill with the longsword, considering how you were able to topple a high rank Diablos while at full health the entire time.

Question! When you Foresight the dig, you're initially facing away from him, but then you do it and step FORWARD relative to your facing instead of back, completely turning it around to be facing Diablos. Is that an automatic thing on the slash that I've just never noticed because I'm a nub, or is there some window of movement input that can instantly turn you around like that?
Is it just me or does it look like he's going down on the spirit helm breaker faster than usual at the last half second? Would it have something to do with the final triangle (ps4) combo? I've noticed that when performing spirit helm breaker, I only really needed to use R2 + triangle without needing to use triangle at the end of the combo.
Canta do you interested in making speedrun for monsters with multiplayer HP? We all know sub 3 is possible due to the monsters have single player health which is kinda crappy.
Wow, I really enjoyed seeing someone kick Diablos' ass like that, the timing on your counter attacks was perfection. Ive been struggling against this thing for days now and still haven't beaten it even with co-op. Someone - mostly me keeps getting KO'D. I'm level 9 and just can't get enough upgrades on my longsword to do enough damage... Any advice?

How do you charge your long sword so fast? I'm trying to learn how to use this weapon but i can't understand how to charge the weapon without using the Rts combo. I saw you started the combo with B (or O) then Y+B (or triangle + O) to do that step back. But how do you charge the long sword with the next two hits and hod did yo do that? Anyway, you're a hero to me ahah
If you successfully evade an attack with your foresight slash and then hit the monster, it wil fully charge your gauge and allow you to follow up with the roundhouse slash
Fashion just won't let me use that hideous Rathalos Chestpiece (at least on a female character), so I've had to go for the eyepatch with the Los grieves instead for Weakness Exploit. Is Maximum Might worth it? Because the skill does look very promising on LS, considering you're almost always at full stam, unless dodging.... ???
I guess I'm a little late on that but in case you still dont know. After a foresight slash you can instantly go into the last hit from the spirit combo and tier up your gauge. but you need to actually dodge an attack that would otherwise hit you (blue sparkling and pling sound indicates that) and you then have to hit the monster with the slash.

Ok so 200+ hrs later Im now level 60 and have the Exterminations edge.. Yes I can kick its ass now, still working on perfecting those counters though.

That new counter is way too good... Cancels into round slash AND the new jumping slash. Just keep looping those for damage and Red Spirit.
What's the combo you used in the beginning to get level 1 spirit bar? It went white so fast
