This was the same episode Patrick was attacked, i'm presuming if John Bardon had not had the stroke Jim would've played a role in that storyline as he was Patricks best friend
So sad John Bardon had his stroke before Scott Maslen made his debut as Jack a couple months after this episode. Would've been interesting to see if Jim would've dreaded Jack's arrival as he did when Max first arrived. I know he later had scenes with Jack when John Bardon returned after his stroke. But still a shame we didn't get a proper scene with Jim and Jack.
In my opinion, John Bardon looked older than Jon Voight, but it turned out Jon Voight was older. I heard that Voight broke into Bardon's house and fractured his skull which resulted in his stroke.
@@JimBranning-c9n Thank you and doing it and I really apprentice it. Imagine they did a Barry Evans fan video and a Nigel Bates fan video that would be great.
Rubbish character, every scene he was in was predictable , people like to think " in the days when EastEnders was watchable" but characters like Jim Patrick,Stacy, Bradley, alfie were tedious, meanwhile great characters like Micheal moon get written off

@@AndrewChapman agreed and during the christmas reveal it would have been even better if Jim was present to witness the max and stacey affair dvd

A proper eastend bloke , when eastenders was worth watching. Total woke nonsense now
Carol having a go at him about racism was brilliant. But let's face it in the 80s and earlier we were all racist
If you dumped millions of refugees in any country the result would be the same. I'll happily give you examples if you want?
Did John Bardon have the stroke that long ago? Over seventeen years ago.
@@filmsforallnations He had the Stroke in June 2007
Wasn’t Jim Branning in The Christmas Day episode, when they watched the video that exposed Max Branning and Stacey Slater’s affair in 2007?

Patrick not aged
Yeah, though I do miss the moustache as it suited him.
