The reason you can't chose a male character is because of the story line. When you 'arrive' at jorvik the story says something along the lines of 'a girl with the light of adien will return'. (Don't qute me on that) And it is 'the sisterhood' of the soulriders. Basically... the story line is about a girl. Starstable has done a lot though to make for gender neutral options. A lot of the clothes can be seen as androgynous, there are makeup styles that are bareface, you can choose a more masculine face shape and there are hairstyles available that would be more stereotypical for a man to have. The target audience is however girls aged 12-16. (I say as an avid player at the age of 18.) I do agree that more could be added, especially new hairstyles that are more masculine since all the other ones are kind of out dated.
I agree with everything except the pandorian shops one. I think that if SSO added shops to pandoria, it'll ruin the natural, mystical effect. I really hope they don't add that! Pandoria is probably the only 100% natural area in the game.
You do know Pandoria is full of evil with shadowseekers? Garnok is most powerful there. Being in Pandoria for more than 3 days will leave you mutiliated and even dead. Why add shops? That’s not realistic at all.
I’d like to be able to go visit my horses in the field and have an option where we could retire the horse so that it doesn’t need caring for but can still be in our inventory
I really do like the idea of having the option to have a male character, but I just don't think it would work. Adding male characters would throw a wrench in the whole storyline, not to mention the inevitable "dating roleplay." Although, I think boys who play Star Stable should at least have the option to make their characters a little less feminine-looking, if they wanted to do so. For example, SSO could definitely release updated short hairstyles that could appeal to boys. It would also be nice to be able to customize your character's height and body type. If SSO won't release male characters, I think they should at least make an effort to add some aspects to the game that would be more ideal to guys :)
I agree with everything, I mean my younger brother has the game aswell as me and he is forced to be a girl.. He says he is fine with it but I just think it'd be great to have male avatars just for boys playing the game as boys

It is very difficult to add different weather only, and SEASONS would probably cause the Severs to break down 5 times a day. It is so, so hard to program Seasons or weather, and look on the bright side: We have Goldenhills, and there is Autumn! Winter Village for Winter, and Spring and Summer won't be seperated.
I love your ideas but for the adding male characters will probably not happen becuse sso said that they would not add males until games for boys made female characters
Winter Breyers that’s kinda dumb. Games like COD were targeted more at boys since more boys would play it so that’s why the main character is male. They should also keep in mind that FPS games are way bigger than RPG/MMO games so by allowing there to be male characters, there would be more players.
I have a few suggestions on another idea video a friend of mine and I came up with them and think they would be fairly cool to add to the game: Keys for the following: Horses-laying down, rearing (without moving), snorting, whinnying, bucking (for all horses), lip fluttering, crow hop, free roam Option to have more than one horse out Option to have older version horse but have it look like newer version to other players Personal field for your horses (like our home stables) Arena to try out a horse before buying Option to design our own cloths (style and color wise not design XD) Expand chat options Donkeys & Mules XD Being able to create tabs on our club info so we can fit more information Blankets, halters, bit less bridles, bareback saddle pads, bell boots, bonnets First person point of view (player and horse) Option to design our own paint horse Options for markings (stars, socks, medicine hat) Breeding Characteristics for our horses (personality: energetic, happy, sassy, fancy, funny, wild, ect) Wild mustangs in forgotten, everwind, and south hoof that you can catch and tame Being able to lunge horses Being able to raise a foal Being able to fall off or get bucked off Our own house in new hillcrest A designable mansion for our club (for members to have a house instead of living in their own personal house) Club only arena (no one else allowed to enter it but club members unless they aren't on their horse and are in the stands) Horse Genders (Mare, gelding, stallion, stud) Horse armor (medieval) Sorry there is a LOT but I think these things would make the game so much better and realistic for those who would like that!

I don't think it would make much of a difference tbh. Most males who play star stable don't mind playing as a female character, and I don't think it would change the fact the game is still aimed at a female audience.
Also, for the clothes symbols maybe they could do it like the ones in the mall? It would be so much bigger and easier! Color organizing, shirts, pants, saddles , to all! That would be pretty cool!
I think they dont have male Characters just for online dating safety and other things like that. But I do agree it would be a cool update to have a boy option. Also it would be difficult because of all the soul riders, you know their all girls sooooo yeah, But cool idea.

Not everyone wants to play with a female character model, or have only female names. the knabstuppers have been added to the game and the face changing is coming!! and tatoos can be changed with different makeups but only on the face, male bodies will hopefully be coming in the character update, a club arena is already in game and so is a club hall you can also hide players, goldenhills is updated!! this is from 2022 lol

YES! Bring back that snow! My friend made an account and I told her the snow on SSO was amazing. But she had joined the year they took away the snow. I was so disappointed.
I love the idea of you can actually tie up your horse you know and like I wished I could have it where they can have their own emotions that would be so cool
I know it would basically be really really REALLY difficult to put in but this is what I want in Sso: I want the horse to have different characteristics and stuff, for example it doesn’t spook at everything and is very chill, but doesn’t like doing certain things, and when the horse is mad or doesn’t want to do something it bolts or refuses, bucks, things like that, their own mind.
I loved every idea, specially boy character, we all know it's a girl storyline but whatever, there are so many boys that play it, it would be fair and cool. Also I loved golden hills valley upgraded, you rock 😍
I wish there was a role play mode and when you are in that mode your horse is unpredictable, it can buck, head toss, refuse on a jump, and I also wish if your horse does spook a bit, you knocked the pole if your doing ShowJumping or something.
So sso has updated Golden Hills, but when I see the «updated» Golden Hills in this video I wish that StarStable made it more like the one in the video.. IT’S SO PRETTYYY

Yea I agree 100% with more flying pets I really want either gyrefalcons or perigrinefalcons! They made a poll for what pet they should add next and of course wolf won, probably because half the population is obsessed with wolves.

a lot of people bring up the point that "having boy characters wouldn't work because of the soul riders", but i have a solution - if you choose to play as a boy, the soul riders will be boys. if you choose to play as a girl, the soul riders will girls. the storyline will remain exactly the same, just different genders to make it more inclusive!

Everyone is asking for boy characters. The thing is, the soul riders are based on girls. Boys are free to play the game, just like every person on the planet. No hate to anyone at all! Just suggesting.
They have knabstruppers and halters but they don't have lead ropes. They added better symbols too! You can now see what is what. They added in the Riding Hall a hide all people or only club/group members visible. I'm not sure what golden hills used to look like but it looks really really similar to your version. Also they added panda Ray's but they were limited but the were a flying pet

Umm... Knabstrupper? I like them so damn much. But now we have them and... How should I sayy... I hate them. They look so fucking ugly, look exactly like the Andalusian instead of the hooves and the head (and mane) and the animations are the same. The whole horse is the ugliest I've ever seen. Even the oldest black Morgan with this red mane is more beautiful.
I think they should make it so you can lunge your horses and have your own paddock where nobody can see but you can put your horses in it and actually see them and when you put your horses in the paddock the horses move around
i love most of these ideas, especially Knabstrupper and the snow! I loved it to ride through Jorvik in such a peaceful way. I like the Christmas Village but it isnt the same...
I like the idea of your barn changing its wood type depending on which barn you picked, but add a feature if you want to change it back to the original. In case you don't like the wood type, but love the area.

Sso once said that if boy games don't add girl characters, sso won't add boy characters. So that one is probably never going to happen :)

I think they dont have male Characters just for online dating safety and other things like that. But I do agree it would be a cool update to have a boy option. Also it would be difficult because of all the soul riders, you know their all girls sooooo yeah, But cool idea.

@@firefly6437 Nothing wrong with feminism, but when they originally bought rights for the game and story, they defiantly could of made it more veritable and flexible. Not everyone wants to play with a female character model, or have only female names. Im sure many NB people would love the option of something other then super girly options for hair, clothes and tack.

I love the idea of you can actually tie up your horse you know and like I wished I could have it where they can have their own emotions that would be so cool
I know it would basically be really really REALLY difficult to put in but this is what I want in Sso:
I want the horse to have different characteristics and stuff, for example it doesn’t spook at everything and is very chill, but doesn’t like doing certain things, and when the horse is mad or doesn’t want to do something it bolts or refuses, bucks, things like that, their own mind.

Guys, I cannot disagree. It was just my opinion, I know what Sso said about it. :/
I wish there was a role play mode and when you are in that mode your horse is unpredictable, it can buck, head toss, refuse on a jump, and I also wish if your horse does spook a bit, you knocked the pole if your doing ShowJumping or something.
So sso has updated Golden Hills, but when I see the «updated» Golden Hills in this video I wish that StarStable made it more like the one in the video.. IT’S SO PRETTYYY

1.Rugs and halters! They are essential things we need and not new horses all the time!
2.Breeding or any other way to own our own foals!
3.Being able to tie up horses for a good rp use!
4.Maybe even being able to fall of for rp with a button from the keyboard!
5.Rain, snow or any other type of weather for rps to!
6.Lunging! It would be a great rp use!
7.Have more that 1 horse out!
8.Selling Horses for more sc since we wasted our on money and loosing it technically for free!

a lot of people bring up the point that "having boy characters wouldn't work because of the soul riders", but i have a solution - if you choose to play as a boy, the soul riders will be boys. if you choose to play as a girl, the soul riders will girls. the storyline will remain exactly the same, just different genders to make it more inclusive!

They have knabstruppers and halters but they don't have lead ropes. They added better symbols too! You can now see what is what. They added in the Riding Hall a hide all people or only club/group members visible. I'm not sure what golden hills used to look like but it looks really really similar to your version. Also they added panda Ray's but they were limited but the were a flying pet

Umm... Knabstrupper? I like them so damn much. But now we have them and... How should I sayy... I hate them.
They look so fucking ugly, look exactly like the Andalusian instead of the hooves and the head (and mane) and the animations are the same.
The whole horse is the ugliest I've ever seen. Even the oldest black Morgan with this red mane is more beautiful.
I think they should make it so you can lunge your horses and have your own paddock where nobody can see but you can put your horses in it and actually see them and when you put your horses in the paddock the horses move around
i love most of these ideas, especially Knabstrupper and the snow! I loved it to ride through Jorvik in such a peaceful way. I like the Christmas Village but it isnt the same...
I like the idea of your barn changing its wood type depending on which barn you picked, but add a feature if you want to change it back to the original. In case you don't like the wood type, but love the area.
Another idea I have is that you could adjust how tall or short you are or how large or small you are, I think that would be cool
