I love Kristie Marcottes videos, and I love this video. Kristie uses a lot of products that not every crafter has. I like how you showed that new crafters can make the same type of card without all the tools. Sounds like you learned your lesson, but don't be discouraged from making more videos. just make them your own way. good luck to you.
I was feeling so bad that i couldnt all my Christmas cards made & mailed in time, but you have totally inspired me to take your lead and 'kill-a-paper pad' and make a ton of cards QUICKLY. .. TFS Be Blessed.
I love this video! I've watched a lot of different makers creating as many cards as possible from one paper pack, but you are my favorite. I love how you take the time to add extra details so each and every card looks fabulous. You don't just use stickers to decorate, but take the time to use stamps, mat your pretty papers, and add dots or stitch lines. As others have commented, the fact that you create using simple tools instead of all the fancy stuff reminds us all that we don't need more stuff: we just need to get out our stamps and papers and make cards! I hope that you make more videos like this. Your tutorials are great, but this video is excellent. I have already watched it three times!
I really enjoyed this video. I would like to see more like it. I loved that you did 40 cards without all the fancy die cutting things and did your own with simple tools. Bravo!
You are so beyond talented!! I love all of your videos and made the exploding box. It turned out wonderfully! It took me almost 18 hours but it was so fun to make, the directions and measurements were spot on, and the gift was perfect. You rock!!!
srush... you have brought nearly all equipments girl.. no stopping for you now... this was so freaking awesome.. the cutting board must have made the work tad bit easier.. if possible can you make a video showing all your materials.. like a collection tour.. would love to see that..
I too love Kristie and her card videos. I believe I have all of her UA-cam videos favorited lol. and I absolutely love how she (and you too) mat everything with black. it really makes the colors pop, and the cards turn out absolutely gorgeous! I keep hoping one day soon I'll have time to sit in my craft room and try these cards as well. thanks for a great video 😊
I feel that both of you talented women make beautiful cards. As someone who has felt the need to buy every 6x6 pad out there these card videos have been a saving grace for me thank you again
Srushti did a great job of following Kristie's inspiring videos. I'm a long-time follower of Kristie's and greatly admire her work. I recognized right off, before reading the description and all the hoopla, that Srushti had based her cardmaking on Kristie's work. This was a teaching opportunity for Srushti and for all of us. I highly doubt she had any ill will in her heart. I hear bloggers talking all the time about supporting each other and imploring others to lighten up on the negative comments and criticisms, some of them even posting negative comments here. Here's how I judge if something needs to be made a BIG deal out of: 1) did anyone die; 2) is anyone in danger of dying; 3) will the world be a far better place if this event hadn't happened? I can't answer "yes" to any of those. Kristie asked for and got acknowledgment, as she should have. Leave it alone, people, and go make some cards. This reminds me of the uproar and "near collapse of the world" when people came up with more affordable replacements of the MISTI and the creator and those who paid for or were given a MISTI made a huge deal out of it. Keep making cards Srushti, Kristie and other cardmakers. When did it become a competition? I admire anyone who can make a card or cards worth posting. What I found different in Srushti's cardmaking marathon was that she used a compass to make circles and cut them out by hand (very precisely, I might add) and made her decorative edges with the old edging scissors we once thought were the best thing to hit papercrafting. Kudos to her for showing us we don't really need all the latest/greatest/most expensive supplies to make beautiful cards.
Well said! I enjoy Kristie's videos. I watch them for entertainment. I also enjoy Srushti's videos. I still haven't watched this one...not enough hours in my day today...but it is first up to watch over breakfast! I knew right away that she was inspired by Kristie and am looking forward to seeing someone else's variation. We all 'see' and do things differently. It keeps life interesting.
You should check out Kristie Marcotte's YT channel & The Best Things in Life are Pink blog, because she is the original creator of this tutorial & method. She has years of videos & blog posts that this new vlogger has completely copied, right down to the video script, music, card style, card sketches etc. And she didn't even give Kristie any credit. Please go give Kristie's channel & blog some love, because she is the one who has done all the hard work this girl copied.
I love Kristie's channel and have been subscribed for a little while now. I have liked and commented on most of her videos like this. I was NOT commenting on this to hurt Kristie that was the farthest thing from my mind.
This is a wonderful video. I am impressed by the variety of styles that can be made with simple elements and that would be suitable to any occasion. Thanks so much for all your time and effort to create and post this video. It has provided me with lots of inspiration!
Great video. I love the way you were able to use almost every piece of paper in the pad. This is a beautiful paper pad and there are some wonderful cards anyone would be excited to receive. In the New Year I will definitely be coming back to your video for inspiration as I have a huge pile of 6 x 6 pads I need to use.
Srushti I was surprised on reading the comments and felt that I have to encourage you as I am a crafter myself. Please do not feel discouraged or put off to make 6x6 videos, you have every right plus you have to remember different crafters on here have different fans. I love your work and you inspire me very much that I would like to make projects that you have shared. I believe when people make tutorials they are meant to inspire and motivate the audience to try them out so I do not see any wrong in what you did. I for one watched this as the first ever 6x6 card tutorial and I loved it because I love your work. So please make more for your fans, we love you and I adore your talent x
Thanks Srushti for sharing your process. I've had your video in my 'to watch' for about a year now, but I haven't crafted since about July 2016. Lost my mojo. I've made a couple of scrapbook LOs, as that is what I predominately do, but you have inspired me to pull out my pattern paper scraps, use some of my card sketches and make some cards. Thanks again for the inspiration. I can feel my mojo returning slowly.
Kristie also inspires me to make my cards but I really like how you show crafters that you don't need all of the expensive tools to make beautiful cards. I also love that you craft like I do. Not always neat but still get the job done. Please continue making videos. You make beautiful cards.
I love your video. it's very clear and you can see every detail from the way your camera is positioned unlike many UA-cam video that are far to close and you can't see everything that is being done or to far away where you have to strain just to see what's going on. you did a great job. keep it up.
What a great video! Thank you so much for making this. I bought a beautiful paper pack that I want to make birthday cards from, but I wasn't sure I was up to the task. Now I have such a better idea how to go about it. And the cards using the scraps were great! Thanks again!
to all you haters. cant you just enjoy a video and learn from it? you cant possibly think that every tutorial or video is an original one? ! and if the artists are so worried about people using their stuff, why the heck do you post it? if it were my video she "stole" id be happy that i inspired someone to spread the joy.
OMG!! so nice and awesome and pretty work Ma'am and i love your videos they help me a lot you are the best crafter I've seen on youtube salute you Ma'am you used your 13 Hours for us Thankyou so much and i m definately gonna try these all because i have made each and every card that you did a tutorial on i am really impatience when it comes to see your new video I love you soo much Ma'am and EVERYONE SHE USED HER 13 HOURS FOR US..SO SHE DESERVES A LIKE FROM EVERYONE!! THANKYOU!!
+Mariam Ashar Thank you so much 😄 and not only 13 hrs but including the set up time, measurement time, editing time, uploading time I almost spent 24hrs or even more on this.
Well, I have never heard of Kristie Marcotte, until now, and I am sorry that this young lady didn't give her credit, at first, but I will say this. I have been a handcrafter for more than 50 years, yet even on my best day, I doubt that I could match the precision with which Srushti Patil created these cards. I am completely in awe of you, Srushti. Please, keep posting crafting videos, because you have an admirer of your work, right here. Thank you, for inspiring me to strive for greater precision in my card making efforts. Take care.

Srushti, Thank you for sharing your inspiration of Kristie's take on the sketches and cards. I would like to thank everyone for sharing their inspirations. I have the Hampton Arts stamp set that you used. I loved the color choices and the papers that you used. I haven't watched Kristie's yet but I am moving that way next. Thank you for putting in all that time and effort to share. This will make a great box set.
I thought, spend an hour?!! I don't know...then I couldn't stop watching! Your color choices are wonderful, the cards look GREAT! Thank you so much for providing this video!
yoh are so talented.. your videos are very easy to understand with right dimensions ,speed and method. please put more videos .. other scrapbook cards.

I wasn't familiar with Kristie Marcotte until I read some of the comments here. But in order to understand the comments, I did watch her video. I much prefer the paper pack you chose and the designs you put together. I also like your choice of music better. Thank you for posting this fun tutorial. I am now "inspired" by you both.
All I can say is WOW, what an incredible amount of work you've put into this video. Exceptional. You can be very proud of what you've produced. Thank you for sharing your version of a very popular craft. I've come across many of these types of videos and I must say this is the best by far.
which company colour pad you use for clear stamp plz tell me coz i have clear stamps but i don't hve block and colours plz tell me which company i have to buy
Good job. It shows what can be done with paper that you might not like so much as with some of the patterns you used. all of us have those papers that seem to get left in the pack. However, you made them work and I liked the embellishments.
Bravo c'est magnifique ce que vous faites. Je vais essayer moi-aussi, mais je n'ai pas votre talent. Merci à tous vos mentors qui vous ont appris le travail bien fait!! =D
Kristie, I love your videos and watch them with my daughter ALL the time for inspiration and just for fun. You're so good at choosing papers & sketches that work the pad down to "real" scraps its just amazing. I don't want you to take what I say here as negativity towards you. I just think its sad how others have gone off on her for months now.
