Sadly we have too much rap crap and the pimp culture of X Factor making you famous for not doing the hard work and earning the fame . Thank God I grew up ( well kind of) during the great era of the seventies and saw what the eighties produced and some of the nineties . Sadly since 2000 it has been all down hill and not just with music .
For being all coked up and Nikki all smacked out at this time in their career, they are a pretty tight unit here. They still sound hungry and look dangerous as fuck. Love it!
You got that right druged, drunk or not he still looked darn hot! And could perform perfectly on stage. That's how he pulled it off for so long but thank God he finally got clean and sober and you can tell that by the way the band plays. And by the way the way he plays his bass. Couldn't play a note before but now nobody can beat him! Gotta love him!!
I think that tommy and mick are why sound good but if go checkout in another dimension where nikki didn't formed the band mötley Crüe wouldn't be Rockstar. I mean the dude composed 60% of a song in the band (lyrics ans progression chord) so yeah without mick no big and agressive sound but without nikki no catchy songs
Bill Fraser I get what you are saying, and it’s true, Nikki did write the basic melody structure of the songs. The reason I think mick is what makes the band work though is because his playing is a mix of nikkis simple melodies but with added lead and technicality, without it the songs would be empty and repetitive in my opinion
People, that are probably better professional singers than Vince Neil, are always posting slams on UA-cam about the quality of his singing, pronunciation, and/or skipping words. I wonder if they know that he was making the most of his physical ability and when singing on all of the award winning recordings and doing hundreds of shows, many back-to-back, started to take a toll, vocal coaches devised ways, like simplifying lyrics and/or dropping certain words to prevent his vocal cords from blowing out completely. What many call laziness, was in fact, a dedication to his craft, by a man who, although not as physically blessed as his UA-cam detractors, has been able to perform professionally over 4 decades and is still going. While not quite as good as the typical UA-cam vocal critic, still a commendable attempt, IMHO.
Damn Randy well he was definitely a good showman. I think you lay on the defense a little too thick for a guy that was never really that talented since videos from way back in1983 show he’s not singing this song very well then either, even without many years of beating up his voice. But regardless of all that he certainly made the most of what he had and made millions of fans worldwide happy, so who am I or anyone to really trash the guy.
I think Vince's voice is good here. Really raw, the way Rock n Roll should be. Plus you gotta consider that this is a band that's on tour, playing 5 nights a week. A touring voice is much different than a weekend warrior. I'd imagine the whole thing sounded way better if you were there in the building, instead of nit picking everything apart on youtube.
@@cms3085 impeccable?...he is SHIT even here only 4 years after releasing it. He leaves out about 20 words alone. Now mind you, now he is absolutely fucking awful. But when comparing to his peers after only a few years in the business?...he is at the BOTTOM of the talent pile.
Kasparmatic he doesnt have to be anybody to have a fucking opinion thats well validated. There are tons of bands who do the same shit and can sing 10x better than vince. Sure hes great in the studio. Live? Not good man
If you went to a Motley show hoping to hear Vince sing an entire song you left disappointed. Still, kick ass show and Vince was a badass frontman so he could get away with it.
Stop complaining all lead singers at times take break from singing word for word live. With all running, jumping it's breath taking. Motley da best Fuk da rest.
I wonder where the audio is actually from. After Mick's solo, you can see Nikki pull his right hand away from his bass, while the notes are still being played.
He pulls his right hand away because he doesn't play after the solo. He does hit a note when they yell "HEY" and that's when he pulls it away....but he doesn't start playing again until after that break down
idk he sings pretty good sometimes now i know people who say he's been on top of his game i mean look at the carnival of sins dvd but then look at the true fest one it's not easy being a singer on stage every night
Not going to happen with any of today's bands. You had to experience it to believe it. There were so many concerts and great rock bands. The chicks really had the looks to kill.
Say what u want about vinces singing (I'm right there with you) but musically they were on point, with all the booze and drugs, Tommy and mick never missed a note
Yes...on album. He was one of the shittiest live singer out there. Took him 5 times longer than anyone else to get his shit together in the studio as well.
Toolmybass I’m saying it was their best because they shed the makeup and went straight rock. Started to put a lot of blues elements on their music too. The production on the drefrelgood album holds up 30 years later too.
Well I don´t agree, but you have the right to have your own opinion ,its true Guns start opening for Motley ,but they became much much bigger and a more symbolic rock&roll band, but I love both bands I was just saying´...
Tereza Lungu wasn't that guns we're bigger they were still going for years while Crue wasn't even together or members doing their own thing.crue got back together with original lineup and we're in the top 10 biggest concerts.guns had members constantly doing something and being in the spot light where Crue only Tommy maybe sixx once in awhile.still when they got together their shows were huge even without a new album so no guns not bigger.both bands will always have equal success so can't really say that
I couldn't imagine this happening in 2018, only in the eighties.
Wild times man

aflores1078 im pretty sure Nikki died around this time and then got clean soon after
After reading heroin diaries it’s so hard to think he was so smacked up and still performed so well
I read it too. Remember he said he cut out heroin for the most part on tour. He was still on loads of other stuff....
Junkie or not Nikki was still screaming hot
You got that right druged, drunk or not he still looked darn hot! And could perform perfectly on stage. Mars is the reason Crüe works, can’t anybody tell me different
Mick Mars is Motley Crue!!!
jan taiwan hell yeah he is 🤘🏻
It is them all working together, that is Crüe.
I think that tommy and mick are why sound good but if go checkout in another dimension where nikki didn't formed the band mötley Crüe wouldn't be Rockstar. Mick was the best. Had his own sound
even his voice was super unique
The riffs were written by Nicki Sixx
John Trouble 🥴🥴🥴
Tone is a thing, riffs another one.
@@johntrouble6507 were not talking about riffs it's the sound Mick makes that. No other GUITARIST can do
I never understood how tommy can just play that fast and that perfect for a whole 2 hour show without messing up once 🤯
Playing to a backing track.
cocaine.
Cocaine.
Tommy is an epic rock drummmer, he came along, played the drums and made it looks so awesome and fun.
Vince is too cool to sing all the lyrics.😂😆😂😁😎
Especially in their final concert 😂😂

Toolmybass your comment is at the bottom. Do have the shit they did and try to have the same pov

@4:14 mick smiles!!! holy crap
Mars!! You're the man!!
Yehh, his guitar riffs are visit card of this band
These guys defined L.A. metal band.
I like those background vocals. No lipsyncing.
Kevin Prima No way was ratt better they didn’t make anywhere near as many chart toppers like Crüe did
Joseph Clarke yep, Backstreet Boys had more hits and made more money than N’Sync too. Because ya know, that’s what matters when comparing groups...
This is one the reasons why my electric guitar is always in D tunning 😀🎸
80's was the best time ever!
No question about it!!!!
Tommy was always The Man.
No, Mars was the Man!!
Kennecott
If you want it to be just like the album, I suggest you stay home and listen to the album
Mick Mars rules, even does good backing vocals.
Everyone knows Mick was the real musician in the group!
a group of angst teenage held in check by a man not with a stick but with a magnificent guitar...hail mix mars
Those whammy dives mick does are so awesome
If you went to a Motley show hoping to hear Vince sing an entire song you left disappointed. Still, kick ass show and Vince was a badass frontman so he could get away with it.
Vince can hit the notes here but it seems he is still doing his signature i'll not sing the full lyrics thing..
you try drinking a bottle of whiskey, taking downers uppers, smoking 8 j's, putting on makeup, high heels then see how YOU go.
@@coldacre Fair enough 🤣
@Ricardo Forworth he’s just winded from having no cardio due to excessive drinking
Les crue au top de leur forme : ils déchirent ! Crue + Gun's + Nirvana = le meilleur rock des années 80, début 90.
Stop complaining all lead singers at times take break from singing word for word live. With all running, jumping it's breath taking. Motley da best Fuk da rest.
Vince’s break from singing is going on 25 years now.
@@corneliuscrewe8165 True. I love them, I'll keep loving them until they're done. But Vince's voice crapped out 30 years ago.
Mick most underrated guitarist ever :( he's so awesome! Should be on at least 100 top 10 lists!
The Crue at the peak of their power.
i love mick he's my favorite guitar player he will always be i love the crue
One of THE BEST "Hard Rock" bands ever...and their personal lives suck...
Mick was the core of this band
Funniest shit is when Vince tries to scream.
Vince was from central casting,'anyone need a blond lead singer?'
\m/ Mick Mars \m/
With all Drug infused and and booze riddled they were at this point they sounded far better than they did years later . Vince actually would sing !
Just love these sons of the bitches
lol
Fun fact, this is the same concert. They film the music video wild side at one of Mötley Crüe’s other songs
Nikki looks like a maniac in some of these parts! Lol like 4:07 and at 4:26 lol
heroine...
Lol, that's David Lee Roth's signature pioneered in early '82, hahahah. None the less I love Motley Crue and am an avid VH fan. Kick ass video btw!
Those were the times never again 87 was the year Hair Metal/Rock peaked. The concerts were crazy the woman too. wild times
The Crue Rock Machine could most certainly play lights out Amazing !!
Esta ha sido la mejor banda de Heavy metal superando a muchas otras.

they are undoubtly the baddest and hardest metal/rock band ever. No other band is as loud, bad and kool as they are.
Seeing them in Vegas next weekend, night before Super Bowl.
So fired up, cannot wait!!
Mick Mar Awesome sound
Vince’s voice in 80s was great!
mick mars what an inspirational man
He plays that solo different everyyime...
There is no wrong way to play it
Pura euforia 🔥🔥🔥
Is Motley Crue in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? If not, what the F*** they should be in it already, I mean they got Janet Jackson in it!
Saw them In My Hometown Melboure recently, they Blew the Roof off the Tennis Centre, brilliant. Just like Good Times again!!!

Guns isn't bigger than Motley even in other world...
Mick always looked 60 💪
70s and 80s were the best time for music and conerts after that all downhill
469dwj 60s was also pretty good. but i agree completely
If you look up the definition of "sex, drugs & rock n roll", you'll find Mötley Crüe!
where the heck is Nikki's bass?
Niiki Sixx donde vas a estar el 16 d septiembre, te invito a mi casa a comer pozolito
Love em but Vince is a bit tough live. Like dlr
No ten minute guitar solo from Mick Mars.
This was the concert where they recorded the music video for wild side.
False
#MICKTHEGUITARKING
could vince sing a whole lyric?
Mick Mars is the very best ...
How is he responsible for Kickstart my heart?
motley crue makes me wish I was that cool
Radar Brown I mean you got to be pretty cool, your profile pic is fucking Cookie Monster smoking
Really like Mick’s backing vocals, wish he wasn’t so insecure about his voice
This was my first concert.
😂❤🎉
In the end we're all going to die who cares so what and all that jazz😂
first of all I love there music ...but if you say so
Mick Marz has got the "strat"(or Dean?) that killz!!
Say what u want about vinces singing (I'm right there with you) but musically they were on point, with all the booze and drugs, Tommy and mick never missed a note
nikki six is definitely on something here lmao
GOD yeah smack coke and JD

And here i am drunk againt
crue crue crue
Haha, it does right? It sounds like he is using a fuzz-pedal or something.
Maybe you never heard of "Drop D Tuning", it's what Mars's guitar is tuned to for all the songs I've listened to.

Ah, their early coke fueled lifestyle...touring and partying.
Mars's guitar is actually a full step down from standard, I play motley crue stuff

TOMMY LEE STYLE IS EPIC!

tommy lee kicks ass man
the year i was born smh.... i should have been born in 58 lol
Would be little better if Vince actually said all the lyrics.
Hahah yeah. None the less, they kick ass.
Jeez. He even skipped lyrics back then?
Tommy Lee heaviest in back
Back when vince could still sing
Vince is suspiciously on key....
This song not bad.
