Honestly, Spamton really fits Eggman’s role. He’s the only secret boss so far who actively tries to escape Gaster’s influence; while Jevil either accepted it or is in complete denial of his own situation. Sans would also work but I personally think his situation is a bit less extreme then Spamton.
Okay but Imagine if the jumpscares are replaced of artistic depictions of each character's involvement with Gaster, like Sans standing next to the good doctor, Jevil hearing whispers while a translucent Gaster stands beside him in the kings court and of course Spamton holding the phone shocked at what he was just told.
Or more mysterious like just sans standing in some sort of lab, Jevil smiling in darkness with Gaster’s iconic smile and eyes in the back, and Spamton’s phone hanging off the stand.
Ideas for Leitmotif changes: Chemical Plant Zone gets replaced with “sans.” Drowning theme replaced with Gaster’s Theme The Unknown from M.E. Parts in Jevil’s part get replaced with some bits and pieces of World Revolving and the song that plays before you fight him Sonic 2 Boss Theme replaced with either BIG SHOT or NOWS YOUR CHANCE TO BE The final Gaster Part to replace the Endless leitmotif would be His Theme (i guess)

I kinda thought Jevil would do Robotnik's part since Jevil has a pronounced laugh but if not Jevil, then I'm glad Spamton plays my favorite part of the song
Sans' down sprite should be him having a save point in his eye, Jevil's sprite should be him trying to be a Devilsknife, but melting halfway through and being stuck in that form forever, while both spamton's cutted arms should be a pop up with an arm, while Spamton's corrupted brain should be constantly wires coming out of his head (credit to one guy in the comment section for spamton's hand one)

I think jevil makes more sense to be eggman because they both seem to not be controlled by the superior entity and also jevil literally laughs for the majority of his encouter
