I love this Shohet Supermarket Shopping Series because even though we have similar shops here in Ireland, some we don’t have like Morrisons. You and David should fly to Denmark for a video, I swear they have so many supermarket brands…I miss having that selection
I've got to say, I rate Morrisons, the steak & fish are excellent. We've had lunch in the café in our local one, they were massively understaffed, but the food was REALLY impressive! I'm glad you had a good experience, Sophie. 💖 x
It is such a challenge to find clean organic meats or line caught fish. As you continue to experiment with going gluten free, just know that it hides in the strangest places (sauces, soups, natural flavors) but your labeling for food allergies in the UK is WAY better than in the states. This store seems so much calmer than the last one 😂
I think the reason why their own brand was mostly out is because you were shopping on a Monday. Most people shop on Fri, Sat, and Sun and stores restock on Mondays.
Loved this trip to Morrisons - never had the chance to go there. Those prices were amazing! There is NO way bread would be that cheap here in Canada lol.
Hi Sophie and David, I really like you guys hanging out together and the comments that you make.😁 I’m wondering what kind of pricing changes have you found recently. In the US in the past two years, my mom and I call each other after every time we go to grocery shop because the things that we’re getting are twice as much as they used to! It definitely has made me whittle down the list of things that I get on my trips. No fun, extra treats, which is good for my health probably. But what do you think??
Hello Sophie and David 🤗 This Morrison's looks really good in comparison to a lot of supermarkets here in the U.S. I love your new channel, thank you💖 I love your and David's beautiful and funny dynamic, definitely couple goals💖
Thank you for taking us along with you, health and wellness starts w food, &food is medicine & proud of you bypassing the processed &junky food, a struggle amongst the USA& UK xx
Lindt chocolate is everywhere expensive. Also here in Germany. I personally prefer chocolate from Heilemann, Lauensteiner, Peters and Wagner. German brands that you should try. Also Swiss chocolate from Cailler is good.
I hate the Morrisons near me ( Lancashire/ Yorkshire ) I Love Sainsburys and Tesco, also don’t mind Asda they are quite nice inside near me and good products you don’t get elsewhere xx
Personally, I do all my grocery shopping in Morrisons. They have high quality products, i often choose their “The Best” line and the prices aren’t as high as M&S or Waitrose x
I've been gluten free my whole life due to a severe allergy (anaphylaxis inducing) so I'm not much help, but what you are describing sounds like what my singing partner experienced. She saw a huge difference once she quit eating gluten. I don't think I've ever been in a Morrisons when in the UK, so this was interesting! "Don't tell everyone I stink." 🤣
Hi Sophie! If you eat seafood then the 3 for 10 is an insane deal, I recommend the shell on Argentinian prawn and the scallop, can also get duck breast or chicken in the same deal.
Thank you for the video Sophie. We love Morrisons. My partner and I used to live in cities without any Morrisons nearby and I only went to the Morrisons a few times in Ealing Broadway and I was so impressed. Back then I wished I had lived close to one. We moved house two years ago and there's one about 8 min drive from us. We love it. It does not have a clothing section but it is fantastic. We go there pretty much everyday! :D I'm gluten free too and my fav is Genius brioche bun and ASDA has the best price for that item. My guilty pleasure is Morrisons chocolate sponge cake in the fresh cake section. Delicious but need to deal with the consequence when having too much :P
I only shop in Morrisons, never on a Monday as it is a bad day for most supermarkets. The only Morrisons outside the UK is in Gibralter where it is THE place to shop!
There are three Morrisons near me. One looks A LOT like Sophies and is absolutely amazing, the other looks very good and is always clean, and the third one fits into the old, dark and never has anything category. (It took the place of a Sainsburys which was also old, dark and never had anything.)
I’ve been gluten free for 5 years and I had no idea it was what was causing breakouts, sinus issues and fatigue until I quit. I hope you see the benefits increasing over time! I cheat on vacation and take activated charcoal to minimize the effects.
There is no Morrison's in Australia. We have Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and IGA (independent grocers Australia i think it stands for) which are normally smaller than the other supermarkets.
I looooooove your videos here Sophie! Both of your channels are so fun to watch. I swear you could be talking about fishfood and I would watch it🤣 xoxo Aleks PS we don’t have this supermarket in Holland.
I live in Australia and we don’t have Morrisons. Our choices are a lot more limited. We have Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and IGA. Morrisons looks a lot like Woolworths. I like Woolworths and IGA, not the other two much.
Hi Sophie! Loved this video. We don't have Morrison's in Greece and I hadn't seen one before in my life, even when I was living in London! it seems like such a good supermarket! Keep the grocery shopping videos coming! Thanks. x
This store reminds me of Kroger in the US. We have a Starbucks in it and a bar which is busy at night. They have clothes, shoes etc. I've never heard of Morrisons here in the US but Aldi is the pits!
I shop in Morrison's as it's is one of my local stores. I don't eat meat so l can't speak about that but the line caught salmon is near fresh fish counter. That Morrisons was massive, compared to mine. I didn't know that they had clothing range 💜
you've mentioned in a couple of videos now that you haven't been to certain stores because they're not near... what is "near" by London (or English) standards? i only ask because i'm used to driving around houston, which land wise is the about the size of the whole state of connecticut. generlly speaking, americans speak of distance in terms of time... so even though i was physically closer to two grocery stores, i'd go to a "further" third store because i could use the freeway-- which made it the easiest to get to. ive only been to london once, and we used the tube to get around, so i'm not familiar with the over all extent of y'all's road system.
Morrisons & Sainsburys are my go to Sainsburys because my mum always did and Morrisons because its not too far from me Knew you wouldn't like Aldi food I was so sure of it 😅❤
Sophie, Have you looked into Fodmap intolerances? There's alot of good support for it in terms of elimination diet and apps to help with shopping. If wheat is clearly an issue it might not be the gluten but rather Fodmaps.
That did seem like a nice shopping experience. No loud children, piped in music, loudspeakers, etc. Calming. Sophie please tell me what lipstick are you wearing? It's so pretty!
Romania doesn't have Morrisons. But I bet if we did it wouldn't be as nice. I commented before: we have Lidl but no Aldi. In the Lidl I've been with my partner we had the experience you had in Aldi. Additionally, our Lidl doesn't have the same variety of brands as the most spread supermarket chain-store - Mega Image, owned by Ahold Delhaize - a Dutch company.
Hi Sophie and David 😊❤love your shopping vlogs..just makes me smile so down to earth..sophie random with deodorant for David 😂love it ..we dont have a Morrisons in New Zealand but it looks similar to woolworths except ur prices seem way cheaper than here ..eggs are ridiculously expensive over here..anyways love you guys ❤
Supermarkets in England - even the same brands - have SUCH variation, especially with Morrisons and Aldi. Sometimes they're dark and dingy, sometimes they're large and beautiful. Your Morrisons looks like one of the ones near me and is really beautiful, but the other one near me is awful haha. Does your Morrisons have 'quiet hour'? It's an hour, often on a Saturday, where they dim the lights and reduce the beeping noises for people who have sensory sensitivities. I love quiet hour.
Hi Everyone!❤ I enjoyed that, I leave in Holland P., and before wee had Morrison's nearest across from West Filled but not anymore. Bone appetit to You Guys! I can't wait in till You say the verdict. ❤🐇🌺
I live in NY and there are Aldi and Lidl, but i have never seen them. I don’t drive and those stores aren’t near me. I am hoping that Lidl will come to my neighborhood, where our market closed during lockdown and the space is still empty and available for rent.
One of the things I have been wondering about with diamond earrings is what is the perfect size. 1CT total weight? With lab created diamonds now there’s so many possibilities
Morrisons salads are usually really nice. but its best to get there quite early whilst there is more choice. There shouldn't be any gluten in salads as long as its just protein and vegetables, but it appears that there maybe sauces and croutons in some of the prepacked. my daughter has recently been diagnosed officially with coeliacs at the age of 29. this after being diagnosed with long Covid. She becomes so unwell if she does have just the teeniest bite and has been to hospital a few times. you are right gluten hides in a lot of things, including some brands of hot chocolate Morrisons do a good range of rscpa approved meats and fish and roam free eggs etc
We don’t have Morrison’s here in Melbourne Australia unfortunately. It looks really good! I never enjoy Aldi, I admit. I find myself looking for reasons not to go there and spend the extra in mainstream supermarkets! Thank you for the video!
Morrisons are the same as Tesco Asda Sainsbury’s their clothes are actually really good quality especially the children’s . Cheaper price ticket on shelves their policy is if it scans at a higher price they will check it on the shelf they let you have it for the cheaper price ( this is actually the same policy as Tesco Asda and Sainsbury’s so just a heads up) really enjoying these videos ❤
There is a Morrison in Gibraltar. On the subject of supermarkets they are very hit and miss. For instance, the 2 Morrisons near me are not as good as the one you visited. I believe they are ex Safeways and need updating. On the otherhand the Aldi near me is fairly new and excellent certainly not like the one you visited. Perhaps you can state where you are shopping.
As someone who has been almost entirely gluten free for 13 years, I can tell you that most if not all people would benefit from eliminating gluten. I won't get into the research (which is an inconvenient truth) but when I am in a situation where I can't access GF food or I choose to cheat, I can really feel it in ways that are hard to describe. My stomach feels so heavy and weird. The body really adjusts to a clean eating regimen and when you add back those things you eliminated, the reaction/bad feeling is even worse than when it was a regular part of your diet!
Hi Sophie! We don't have Morrisons here in NI. Our supermarket choices however have expanded a lot since we moved here back in 1991 when there was only two supermarkets in our nearest town neither of which were the big brands😮 Hugs xx
I have Coeliac Disease, so I feel your pain when it comes to “grab and go” items in the supermarket. No Morrison’s, Tesco, ASDA, Waitrose, or Sainsbury in the US, I’m afraid. Are there still Safeways in the UK?
I agree, our in North Manchester is pretty old and run down. But it wouldn’t do for us all to like the same places. I love M&S - but basically because of their yellow labels. I have M&S standards but Aldi/Lidl cash !!!!! 😂😂😂
David is so sweet. "I just want the chicken to have as good of a life as possible"
I do too! 😊
David is funny 🤣🥰 I like him commenting in the videos ♥️♥️♥️
I love this Shohet Supermarket Shopping Series because even though we have similar shops here in Ireland, some we don’t have like Morrisons. You and David should fly to Denmark for a video, I swear they have so many supermarket brands…I miss having that selection
Would love to see a cooking episode after one of these shopping trips or just what you guys usually eat/cook in a day ✨
I've got to say, I rate Morrisons, the steak & fish are excellent. We've had lunch in the café in our local one, they were massively understaffed, but the food was REALLY impressive! I'm glad you had a good experience, Sophie. 💖 x

Love shopping with you two. Love a good comparison shop. We don’t have any of these stores in Canada.💕💕
I live in Phoenix, Arizona and I'm blown away at how low your food prices are!
Agree! I’m in Michigan, and I can’t believe how much more expensive groceries are compared to the UK, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down.
Personally, I do all my grocery shopping in Morrisons. They have high quality products, i often choose their “The Best” line and the prices aren’t as high as M&S or Waitrose x
Same here!

I only shop in Morrisons, never on a Monday as it is a bad day for most supermarkets. The only Morrisons outside the UK is in Gibralter where it is THE place to shop!
Our local Morrisons looks nothing like that 😂 Its dark, old and never has anything I need lol. This store looked great!

Perhaps, like Tesco, you need a loyalty card to have the cafeteria at the lower price. We don’t have Morrison’s in Northern Ireland.
This is correct, they needed the More card, which is free to get and gives discounts 😊
I’ve been gluten free for 5 years and I had no idea it was what was causing breakouts, sinus issues and fatigue until I quit. I hope you see the benefits increasing over time! I cheat on vacation and take activated charcoal to minimize the effects.

Yay I work in a Morri 💚
I think the stock must of been out because they definitely do free range and organic.
I always go in morning or early evening x
Morrisons & Sainsburys are my go to Sainsburys because my mum always did and Morrisons because its not too far from me
Knew you wouldn't like Aldi food I was so sure of it 😅❤
Dear Sophie! You should try bread backed with almond flour! I had the same issue like you and almond flour has been a game changer!❤
Thanks for the tip!xx
Sophie, Have you looked into Fodmap intolerances? There's alot of good support for it in terms of elimination diet and apps to help with shopping. If wheat is clearly an issue it might not be the gluten but rather Fodmaps.

Morrisons do a good range of rscpa approved meats and fish and roam free eggs etc
You need to go to the counters for the higher quality fish and meat. They do line-caught salmon 😊
Unfortunately, Australia does not have Morrisons. Great video vibe guys. 🎉
We don’t have Morrison’s here in Melbourne Australia unfortunately. It looks really good! I never enjoy Aldi, I admit. I find myself looking for reasons not to go there and spend the extra in mainstream supermarkets! Thank you for the video!

No Morrison here In Australia
There is no Morrinsons anywhere else, only UK.
Hey Sophie, what is M&S like to shop at?
I have Coeliac Disease, so I feel your pain when it comes to “grab and go” items in the supermarket.
No Morrison’s, Tesco, ASDA, Waitrose, or Sainsbury in the US, I’m afraid. Are there still Safeways in the UK?
Morrisons used to be Safeways I don't think we have them anymore
Funny David keep saying “australia?” “New zealand” “how about norway” 😂😂😂😂
No Morrisons in Australia!
You can get organic meat at Morrisons but it depends on which store it is 🙂
No Morrison's in Australia
Kinda reminds me of Sobey's in Canada, but I haven't been in one in years so I'm not sure.
I live in Toronto...expensive!
I'm first yay! No Morrison in US. I wanna smell like watermelon, says Sophie 🎉Ev
No Morrisons in the Netherlands. Actually never seen one before this video.
Morrisons have free range chicken. "The Best" range. :)
I thought Morrisons didn't go down as far as London 😂 I always thought it was a Northern shop like ASDA. No shade to the North I am half Northern 😊
Morrison's came down south circa 2000's, l live in London & my local shop is Morrisons. I first came across one in Birmingham when I was a student.
I'm in Devon and we've had Morrisons since about 2004.
My dad has celic disease. He buys Schar bread for all his sandwiches, toast.
You need store card for cheaper prices.
no don't have a morrisons in australia. it reminds me of woolworths aka woolies as aussies call it
That’s the difference when it comes to price…free range and wild…
I do not eat farmed fish, so my selection is limited and at a higher price.
hi! your sound only comes through one air pod
No Morrisons in south Germany 👌🏻
I've never heard about Morrison. I don't like Aldi. And I don't like Lidl. Both too low quality.
Morrisons, very dark, dull store. Can’t bring myself to shop there, miserable place. Don’t know about the food ……
Probably depends on the store. Our Morrisons is pretty run down. They took over a Safeway store. The car park is a bit of a disaster at this point.
I agree, our in North Manchester is pretty old and run down. But it wouldn’t do for us all to like the same places.
I love M&S - but basically because of their yellow labels. I have M&S standards but Aldi/Lidl cash !!!!! 😂😂😂
