  • There was a hint of the French Revolution about this year’s annual ‘city day’ celebrations in Dnipropetrovsk. The presence of a uniquely Ukrainian mock guillotine reflected the mood of revolutionary zeal in Ukraine as the country comes to grips with the twin challenges of war in the east and a nationwide battle against corruption.

    I think first men to be punished should be Kuchma and Kolomoysky. Kuchma while being a president made all pensions and other state money going through the bank of Kolomoysky - that's more then a half of a budget. That's a pity that people don't have much desire to see that - they'll be punishing randomly and without any logic.
