Thanks! These quick overviews are great for identifying which games sound interesting and are worth spending some additional time to look further into them. I really appreciate this series and the fact that the games/timestamps are listed in the description for future quick reference!

Would rather see picture of game components than box cover (or both) when you're giving a description of the game. Much better to gauge interest this way.
Dama is the classic game of Turkish Checkers, It is hard to rate classic games like Chess, Go, or Contract Bridge. If you are a student of the game it’s great, if you just pick it up it’s dull and confusing. This game predates the English/American version of Chess. I have studied it, read books on it and played it in tournaments. Even through I am not very good at it, I respect it as a great game.
Designer of New Kingdom Sowers here. Thanks for taking a look at my game, Tom. 🙌 That was a nice surprise. I was aiming for a game like Lost Cities with some parable connections by having different actions with each soil. These are the connections i made: The Path: cards that go here are out of the game, like they were taken by birds. Rocky Soil: after a while being here, cards will eventually 'shrivel' and get blown to the Path. Thorny Soil: cards you need get stuck here, like they are being choked in the thorns. Good Soil: the desirable soil. I admit the connections are loose and the gameplay is not as elegant as Lost Cities. 😓 Does that help at all?
I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen Tom rate a game a 1. Even a game that he says he HATES and is POO he gave a 4 to, so to get a 1 must be really bad. Tom, really love the format for these and enjoy them every time! Hope you and everyone at the DT have a Merry Christmas and enjoy some time off with family and friends.
Will there be a longform review of Civolution? No problem if not, was hoping for one but I understand there are approximately 8.25 billion games to review every year. Cheers!
@@thedicetower Haha, thanks Tom(?) Appreciate it. No big deal either way, I have no right to make demands on you guys! :) Just wanted to know was all. God bless, have a Merry Christmas!
do not care. this constant whinings about AI has to stop sooner or later. more and more games will use it. you cant stop it. adapt or just dont buy it. cheers
@@ianw0ng so you can't complain about something you don't like? What a weird take - I assume you're also upset at Tom for disliking some of these games. "he just shouldn't have played them!"
Received my Theme Park Mania Kickstarter copy a while back, read the rules, decided it wasn't worth even a try. The attraction artwork is very nice, however.

I hope Civilization gets a full review, Feld's best design in many years.
It will!
Woah a rare 1/10! Love how you use the full spectrum between 1-10
Few games are THAT bad.

Of all these games, I'm getting Diatoms and Slide.
Fun - still, I’m always hoping for a full review of “hot” games on BGG like Civolution
Theme park mania cover looks AI made. I wonder if the design is also made by AI.
Also looks like they ripped off Quadropolis on the look of the people.
There's no designer or artist listed on the cover either, which checks out.

"I like the things that this company does"
Fine. Just telling it if this company makes mistakes would be fine too, would help them too I guess.
Did you call Lore Pets “poo?” 😂
I *think* it's "boo".

Refuge 4/10 .. I don’t think so
Whoever does your intro music needs to seriously tune their guitar. That sounded dreadful.
