For anyone reading this remember that Jesus loves you and he died on the cross for your sins, no matter what you look like, sound like, or your personality is like he loves you
i had NO idea why i was so uncomfortable and clicked off this video when i first watched, but now i realized - it was convicting because this is me! today the Lord helped me surrender my emotions to Christ so that He would now be in control, i don't want to be any more. i thank God for Him and this video!🙏
This video was literally God sent for real. I'm going through a tough time and it's just what I needed. I can't express how much gratitude I have to God for using you. Love and grace from God 🙏
Really good sermon here Alex, thanks again for sharing the truth and not holding back even when we don't want to hear the hard things that need to be said, so we can be reminded of what needs to be continually done.
In Jesus holy name my brethren, thank you I really needed this, for our almighty father, God is good thank you so much to you and to all that have help me, family in Christ forever God bless
I’ve been looking for someone that keeps my attention while preaching and couldn’t find anyone but you’re amazing!!! I love your videos, Thankyou so much!
Hey Alex, thank you for sharing a word with us as frequently as you do and for FREE. I know that is a mighty feat, and I don’t take it for granted. However, once this series is done, can you please consider doing a reflection on managing the frustration and pain of unanswered prayers? This is my cross to bear right now and it’s a daily fight for me to not let it affect my faith but it’s really, really, really hard. I know that God is present, but I can’t help but feel lately that He selectively chooses whom to help and whom not to help and this is a feeling that I’m wrestling with.
Don't forget to ask God to answer these prayers as well. This is just a friendly reminder, and I love your thoughts on your comment. Totally don't want to take these videos for granted knowing I have free access to them anytime on so many platforms. God bless this day and these informal videos.
This is honestly something I am always afraid of in my walk with Jesus. There are many reasons why prayers can be left unanswered. 1. God is preparing you to be able to walk in those prayers. Maybe you are not prepared and he is equipping you with the necessary tools to care for this answered prayers. 2. God is going to give us what we need not always what we want. This is so hard for me but I promise he does it all with love. 3. He simply has something better. Which can be hard for us to believe. I hoped this helped there are of course more reasons but I suggest asking God for clarity on if He is doing any of the 3 I listed. I pray He will reveal what path He wants to take you down. Just know He loves you so much and does not see any of us better than others. Comparison is the theft of joy and God will always love you!
@monicavelasquez5692 thank you for being honest about how hard it can be to walk with Jesus, "DO NOT FEAR" this was a powerful comment to wake up to as I am going through one of the hardest times in my life, I look to him, I turn to him, I put down the cigarettes, I pause myself from making music, I just simply look to him in every step that I take right now. I love you and Jesus does first
I read some comments and I’m glad it wasn’t just myself that experienced this, this message felt a bit convoluted and even passionate at times. Idk how to explain it but this teaching felt un put together. You jumped from your personal loss to hell then to dancing and feeling expressive on your own, then to your wife’s testimony (you said she overcame the baby’s loss “soon” and overnight) it was just too many things at once to be quite honest. It was a great message but honestly left me asking more questions. You usually don’t do this so idk if you had gone through some stresses or anything prior to this (I’m a PK so I know how the day before and day of sermons can get insanely hectic) but yea that’s all I wanted to say, God bless you.
My personal question would be what was the main point of this sermon? I tried to connect the dots by listening 2x but I can’t seem to grasp what you meant. The best point I got out of it is to enjoy experiencing time with Jesus and your kids, I continually got lost on the “control emotions” aspect. Thanks 😊
Not quite sure about the correlation between hiding/blocking emotions and hell. And how did you discover that people in hell want to be there? It's an interesting take - first time I've heard it said that they're mad because they cannot sin any longer. As I think about it, it could make sense. But I don't know if that's true. Secondly, some of us have we've weeped and knashed our teeth while in this life, in regret and frustration for our sin and failing God. It's not a far fetched reference to use to imagine hell, though I imagine some would also be full of hate against God whilst in hell? Thirdly, if you're saved by the Finished work of Jesus, your emotional problem will not take away from that, nor would your emotional success add to it.
No, in the sense that one must die to their flesh in order to serve God in spirit. Hence, the Baker being hung and the cup bearer being let live when Joseph was in prison. The baker represented bread, which represented flesh, and the cup bearer represented the blood which represented life in Christ. It was a foreshadowing of what Christ, then we would have to do. But when one turns to Christ we are told that God must be worshiped in spirit in John4:23, and thus we need to subdue our flesh through self-control, a fruit of the spirit. However Matthew 12:43-45 also tells us of the spirits which are evil as well which can dwell within us. Sure, once we die they would be gone from our bodies with us, however you would not have been serving God in the spirit correctly if that was the case, as He desires a clean temple for His Holy Spirit to dwell within, and if our victory is in Christ, how could you lose that battle unless you did not submit to Him with His victory. We know that demons tremble at His name and presence, and that some will not come out except by prayer and fasting, but if you submitted to God, he would not let them touch you in a capacity you could not overcome. Going to Heaven for God's stuff would be a materialistic reason, and thus not a response to His mercy and kindness to us when He calls for us to live a life of repentance, unless it was just an acknowledged reason that you would want to be there, a secondary object to be excited about, and not the focus. A desire would insinuate that materialistic perspective, and thus it would be wrong in my opinion. (I have no scripture to back this so make of it what you will.) You could also say that about being separated from your flesh, but truthfully, you don't desire your flesh to be dead to you, unless you are not of this world anymore, or are seeking to leave it because of a spiritual reason (in this case God). And truthfully, if that reason is God, then I believe you are fine. Although, it is important to realise no matter where you end up there is no end, which is why were are told not to tire of doing good works for we will always inherit something; Galatians 6:8-9. In addition, God is always doing a new thing and will create a new Earth for us to go to after Heaven (Isaiah 43:18-19, Revelation 21:1-5). So if you *only* want to be in Heaven to be separated from your flesh and we end up on a new Earth where I presume we would have bodies, I'd say it's a problem. Sorry if I was a a bit verbose, I couldn't say too little to not make sense, but I hope this will help you come to a conclusion. If I haven't though, I advise you to make it something that you pray about.
I say this constructively and not critically, but God gave you common sense for a reason, you gotta use it. The answers are all in the Bible. Why would it be a sin to desire heaven to be separate from the flesh when the Bible talks about walking in the spirit and not in the flesh? Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Just because you have a desire in general does not mean it’s bad. It’s only when those desires are more important than God himself and his will.
Great question brother, and no it’s not wrong to desire heaven to be separated from your flesh .If anything that’s a good sign your walking with the lord because you’re desiring the things he desires.
I want to find out. I just got engaged to my awesome fiancé. I'm still by my parents. And she's staying by her mom. When i sleep there i sleep on a mattress next to her bed. Is it okay in the eyes of the Lord for me to sleep under the same roof before marriage. Even though we don't engage in any sinfull activities anymore.
What I would say is even though you both aren't committing any sin…it’s best to completely avoid those situations. Especially since 1 Corinthians 6:18 says for us to flee from any sexual immorality. I will definitely also say pray more about it as well
For anyone reading this remember that Jesus loves you and he died on the cross for your sins, no matter what you look like, sound like, or your personality is like he loves you

I'll be honest. I'm confused in my emotions.
