A lovely slimly dressed steelhead stinger a lot better than the usual over dressed steelhead patterns the fliy has plenty of movement and a lot easier to cast Very best reguards steve
In addition to tying the Rhea fibers in one by one... you can also work with a clip and a 'dubbing' loop... spin it and hackle like normal! Much faster that way!
Hello Keith, we sell multiple clip options... but the best ones are from Marc Petitjean. There is a normal version... and a Steelhead/Magnum version that is bigger and holds more material! If you can't find them locally, we also ship world wide... just send us an e-mail! info@qflyshop.com Magic tools Best maarten
you guys make great tying videos I am huge fan but you should list the materials even link them to your site so that we can make them easier just a thought
Dang, now I have made the first part and since I didn´t take care quite enough, I tied this one in the complete opposite direction. The first part, that is. Anyway, I will watch it through , now, so I might have another go, later. Or tomorrow. Or next week ...

awesome fly - well done!
What is that pink stuff you used to tie the mono loop onto the stinger? I noticed you used that also on the amazing tarpon fly. Looks like a floss?
It's 3/0 tying thread ! but it's un waxed... and lays flatter than the waxed threads.
I saw rhea feather can be separated from hard stem soaking in warm water for 30min and can be used easily.
That will work, but the fiber need to be the right length!
Can you share with us where you found the plastic clip you used for the Lady Amherst feathers?
