Nice work captured the best bits. If that brilliant display was anywhere else in the world we would never hear the last of it on television, internet and the travel mags
Wen’t there as a kid, went whole length of the illuminations in car, and it’s the only time I ever remember my dad having to drive slow and not go mental behind the wheel coz it was that great.
😊😀😁Youve made my evening complete with Strictly this great clear and precise well edited video of the 8th wonder of the world Blackpool tower and its lights 😊
Brilliant. Discovered your videos originally from your winter wonderland posts. Your camera really handles low light exceptionally well. Would be interested to know if you do much/any grading or adjusting of the actual footage itself after filming(?)
fotowhizz video Thanks for the reply, I've actually looked at the LX100 a couple of times myself. I assume you manually set your aperture, ISO & white balance to get the lights to look so good?
Hi there, I have seen your film 'Blackpool Illuminations' on UA-cam and I am contacting to see if you'd be interested in clips of your film appearing in the new @ShowtownBPL Museum? Showtown is an all-singing, all-dancing new museum for the whole family and opening next year in Blackpool. Showtown will be celebrating everything that makes Blackpool nationally and internationally famous including the Illuminations, circus, dance, magic and much more. We would love to use clips of your film in one of our Audio Visuals in the permanent museum displays. If you're happy, could we arrange to get a copy of the footage? Looking forward to hearing from you soon, Many Thanks, Showtown Team.
4K? I have Blackpool Illuminations 1986 on Sony Betamax! Very bad "Comet Tailing" on the Sony Trinicon Camera Tube! I saw the whole thing squinting through one eye, in glorious Black & White on the 1.5" CRT viewfinder! Happy days!

This is the standard by which all Blackpool Illuminations videos will be judged - it is quite simply superb!
Superb video. Expertly edited with most of the clips changing to the beat of the music. Mike.
