Hello Professor! Your videos gives a lot of clarity with me when it comes to salvation through our Lord Jesus, may I request you if you have time to exegit the book of Romans especially the chapter 6 to 8, on how Paul reiterated the difference of the believers obeying under the premise of decalogue (flesh) and how the believers now lives and obey God on the premise of Grace thru Spirit (law of Faith).. Many, if not most, churches fail at restoring a fellow believer. Every time I hear someone preach on Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, they always point a finger and say, "Remove your grave clothes." The thing is, Jesus told those standing there to remove the "grave clothes." Can you imagine Jesus raising you from the dead and expecting you to free yourself from the binding cloth? Lazarus would have remained in those grave clothes a long time if nobody removed them for him. I think Jesus expects us to help new Christians get free. People who teach that you will be automatically set free from all bondage are finger pointers instead of finger lifters, like the Pharisees. I think Jesus is showing us that here. But, often, we expect others to get free on their own.

That was an interesting study from Galatians 6, and also from the rest of the book of Galatians, brother Rob! It seems to me, from your Galatians study, at least from my observation, that you don't believe in the doctrine of OSAS or eternal unconditional security since you recognize the warning between sowing to the flesh and sowing to the Spirit. Am I correct in my observation about this, brother? Thanks for your ministry by the way, brother Rob! Many blessings to you...
Thanks, Paul! The doctrine of OSAS (or as our Reformed brothers and sisters refer to it, "perseverance of the saints"), can be a tricky thing to fully understand. Do I believe the _true believer_ is eternally secure because God is eternally faithful? Yes, I do.
At the same time, I have to allow for the mystery of passages in Scripture that seem to suggest there is some type or degree of personal agency involved in the living out of our faith. For example, the passage we looked at in this video: "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life." (Gal. 6:7-8).
This seems to imply that we have some level of personal agency in choosing where we will sow, and Paul wants us to make the right choice. And according to this passage, where we choose to sow makes the difference between corruption (other translations say destruction) and eternal life. At the same time, we know it is not our works that save us!
This is why I try not to be too dogmatic on some doctrines and, instead, leave room for the mystery. There is an ultimate truth about whether or not one's salvation can be lost, but we can never fully know what that truth is. (At least not on this side of heaven.) In the meantime, the Bible advises us on the choices we should make, where our loyalties should lie, and how our lives ought to be lived. And I'm telling you: just trying to love God and love other people is enough to keep me challenged for the rest of my life!

The Judaizers are still living in the Old Creation. The Baptized died to the Old Creation, and arose again into the New Creation in Christ.

Thanks Rob, this has been the best I have heard Galatians. Obviously, the same kind of teaching would be great other epistles such as Romans, Hebrews, etc. One thing you hit on that I do agree with is that the body of Christ is not always great at the restoration of those who have falling back into sin. I have a friend who fell several months ago and thankfully he has a pastor who worked to restore him and keep his family together which is right in line with Gal. 6:1. Others have kind of shunned my friend and I find this disheartening. So I wonder how HRM followers reconcile this to Duet. 22:22 and Lev. 20:10. If the Law of Moses is still required for believers I haven’t found restoration for outright adultery in the Tanakh other than with King David. I could have missed it somewhere but if the requirements of the Law of Moses have not changed where does that leave us in situations like this. Thanks again. I will boast in nothing but the Cross of Christ.

@Pat Noon, I am not HR but I do hold to learning the Torah as a follower of Yeshua. Repentance from all sins has always been available to those in covenant relationship with YaHweh, both before Yeshua and after. The Law of Moshe always includes and teaches repentance from sins. Repentance is the responsibility of the person who sinned. There are different consequences for sins. The fact we repent and turn to YaHweh for forgiveness doesn’t always mean the person will not receive consequences for their sins. They maybe forgiven but they may still have to go through the consequences. Repentance always brings life.

Great job.. just one thing though.. you mentioned someone who "fell from grace" shouldn't that be more along the lines of "falling INTO grace"..?especially in regards to Paul's message in this book.. I have always thought this was the case rather than the false statement of falling (from) grace ! we do not fall from grace... amen ?!

So Rob ends the Galatian series by not dealing with the argument Paul is arguing. Paul is not arguing the Judaizers are forcing the gentiles to keep the law of Moshe for salvation. They were converting gentiles through their legal means (man-made traditions) of making them become Jews to be counted equal covenant members with them. They boasted in the flesh (i.e, circumcision). The mark of circumcision was their mark of righteousness for they held all Jews had a place in the world to come. Yeshua was not for their converting process (Matt 23:15).

All of the Jewish people, even sinners and those who are liable to be executed with a court-imposed death penalty, have a share in the World-to-Come, as it is stated: “And your people also shall be all righteous, they shall inherit the land forever; the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, for My name to be glorified” (Isaiah 60:21).
Wrong Tony your not dealing with other sources that shows it was about the Law since circumcision is literally required to join the Mosaic Covenant

The children of Noah were commanded with seven commandments: [to establish] laws, and [to prohibit] cursing God, idolatry, illicit sexuality, bloodshed, robbery, and eating flesh from a living animal (Sanhedrin 56a; cf. Tosefta Avodah Zarah 8:4 and Genesis Rabbah 34:8).

@@cedricgaming5106 in the book of Galatians Paul is not just speaking of the Law of Moshe but he also speaks on the laws of traditions. He references two types of laws. Paul’s issue is with the laws of tradition and not the Law of Moshe. Jews in the first held gentiles must convert to their legal process of becoming a Jew to be an equal member of the covenants. The mark of circumcision was the final step and told everyone this gentiles is now fully Jewish. The pride of the circumcision party was on the mark of circumcision for righteousness. This was the mark of the flesh they boasts in. This was a man-made process not found in the Hebrew Scriptures. So when Paul uses the word “law” in Galatians, context tells us whether it’s speaking of laws of tradition or law of Moshe. The term “works of Law” is used by Paul not for Law of Moshe but law of traditions for converting to becoming a Jew.

@TonyPino777Yeshuasaves I believe he does mention this very thing in the series, but I'm going to go back and to the entire series today while I'm at work to confirm, but I do believe u and u make valid point. However, I do feel like it's a baby bathwater issue throw-out the water, not the baby. In this case, the bath water is the law of moses and the tradition of these jewish men, which put a yoke on the believer. Which doesn't help with salvation. They have no power to save ur soul.

I wish Paul had named these "judaizers". I have a suspicion these men were the direct students of the disciples, teaching precisely what they were taught. It's clear that Paul's gospel and Jesus' gospel are not the same. At least not superficially
