These smash-and-grab type robberies have been increasing over the last couple of years but mostly in places like California.
When I heard this happened in Orlando, I thought, "Why in the world would you try to smash and grab not only in Orlando but in the entire state of Florida?"
Everyone has guns out there; even the alligators have guns.
It's just a stupid thing to do, and we clearly see what happened when they tried it.
Two of four armed robbery suspects were shot and killed inside a jewelry store in Orlando, Florida's Magic Mall.
Remember, there were four robbers, and two of the robbers got packed up by one guy with a gun.
That shows you the equalizing effect a firearm has, and you could argue that it gave the store owner the advantage in that these robbers probably didn't expect the store owner to have a gun, giving the store owner the element of surprise.
We've got to stop letting these anti-gun groups, politicians, and our President sells us on the idea that restricting our 2a rights is the only way to make us safer.
The only people it makes safer are them and the criminals.
When it came time to protect his life and his store, Joe Biden was nowhere to be found, the police were nowhere to be found, Karen and her glass of wine were nowhere to be found!
It was just him, his gun, and the criminals.
Fortunately for him, he won!

When criminals are no longer afraid of the law, then they must learn to be afraid of their victims. If more people reacted like these store owners there would be less people acting like those thieves. Action/reaction.

I feel the same way about addicts limiting pain medication for actual suffering patients.
Actual suffering patients become addicts.
90% of those people started on legal pain killers.
I was shot several times in Afghanistan lost the use of one leg by having the sciatic nerve severed , pumped full of opioids, remained on oxycodone until I finally got out of the military.
The very first day I arrived at the VA they cut me off my pain medication without tapering, without any plan.
I had 3 choices, kill myself, find illegal pain killers or heroine to stop the withdrawals that could actually kill me or learn to live life in pain.
I am lucky I had the will power to stop before it got to bad because I chose illegal drugs for a while.
I’ve been sober for a long time, yet I still struggle with the desire to go to a pain clinic or a dealer to deal with my permanent pain.

In comparison thou. US Police kill more people in the US than criminals w gun homicides in EU. Around 1000 annual homicides with guns in EU compared to 1050 US police killings. Also remember that US got less than half the population in comparison, 44% ( 750M vs 330M). So police kill more than double amount per capita vs the EU homicide criminals.
In total US got 20k homicides with gun yearly. Considering the size difference, almost makes it 50x (5000%) higher risk of getting killed by guns in US vs EU.

If they are committing armed robbery, they are likely to kill someone in the future anyway, whether it's the next victim not cooperating fast enough, killing a witness, or someone just saying something that the criminal finds insulting, so he decides to defend his street rep by shooting them.

this is so accurate, i have been preaching this for years, we may have the right to bear arms to protect ourselves from criminals but the real criminals are the legal system that will destroy you in every way they can.

I was LEO for 32 years and now retired. One of the first things that I learned on the job was that the criminal justice system is there to protect the rights of the criminals, not the victims.

@@loop1479 Heck, the way Prisons are now a days, going there is more like a vacation than punishment.... 3 meals a day, color TV, heat and air conditioning, a place to sleep. I've seen much worse places than even Tent City in AZ.
a random guy decided to threaten me the other day and told me that he had a gun and he was willing to use it to defend himself against me after he punched the side of my van for no reason at all.
he then continue to say that he owned the police department and he was going into his vehicle to grab his shotgun and return to kill me.
All I Can Do Was call 911 and drive away because here in California they don't prosecute criminals they prosecute responsible law abiding citizens.
if he were to pull a weapon and I had to defend myself against him more than likely I would have been the one going to jail...

My friend's uncle owns the store your talking about. It's in Magic Mall, one or more of the criminals had a gun and pushed my friend's aunt to the ground trying to steal the jewelry. So yes there was definitely a need to use his firearm. But even without the firearm, if you bring physical harm or damage to someone's property or loved ones. Citizens should be able to protect and retaliate appropriately to protect his property and his family. Too bad this won't be shared on the main media. One criminal died on the spot and the other died on the way to the hospital, kind of crazy that it can happen to people close to you.

Thanks for sharing this story. As a CCW permit holder myself, I worry about everything you just described and fork out the money for CCW insurance just in case. Also, let me just add that robbing a jewelry store is a TERRIBLE idea! I used to do point of sale system installs for jewelry stores and you wouldn't believe the number of firearms I discovered stashed behind the counters while running wire and pulling cable.
The 2nd Amendment has no room whatsoever for "CCW permits".
According to the second amendment, there's no requirement for permits.
