- For the first time on their 2023 World Tour, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band performed “Bobby Jean” live at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. This was song #24 of the night.
This was the first time "Bobby Jean" had been performed by The E Street Band since February 25, 2017.
E Street Choir member Lisa Lowell was not in attendance for this show.
This concert in Tulsa was my 34th time seeing Bruce Springsteen perform. It was my 26th time seeing The E Street Band perform.

This is one of those songs that is about everyone of us man and woman. There's that one who you love that much that you know it's better for him or her to move on cause they will be much more happy without you. That's what I get from his lyrics. OLD school rock and roll band's still are the best music ever. Best music ever the 60s and the 70s there's never going to be music like those times ever again
Being a Jersey Boy, I figured the crowd of Tulsa wouldn't respond so well but dear lord they shook this place! What an amazing show
I am seeing empty seats and a bunch of people sitting down. If you see the video of the opening song No Surrender, I was wondering why the crowd was so quiet. I hope my Denver show is more rocking than this crowd.
@@jeepmansv that was the seats behind stage. Almost no one was in those. Who wants to see someone's back for 3 hours lol. I think no surrender was the opener too

Looking at the sales on Ticketmaster this seemed like the 1 venue that didn’t sell out. I am sure the 10,000 or so were treated to a great concert.

In Tulsa the highest seats went for $20. The couple who bought them were upgraded to a very low row to Charlies side of the stage. Like old times with the Man in Black. Extra points if you know what I mean.

This has to be the first tour Bruce has done that’s not selling out each show. But that’s not the point anymore with the new “dynamic pricing” and legal scalping. It’s all about the DOLLAR AMOUNT of the sales and the net profits for TM and the artist; the NUMBER of tickets doesn’t matter.

The empty seats I see in videos of every show of this tour clearly send a message: ticket prices are way too high this time out. Even the “pit” has much more empty space than normal.
You can’t be serious lol… I don’t love the ticket prices but every show has been 95% + sold except for Tulsa. This tour will finish top 4 or 5 for all of 2023 alongside Madonna and Taylor Swift. What message IS being sent exactly (in your mind)?

It must be wonderful to afford the ridiculous prices for these tickets, almost 40 years after the fact, but it's not surprising, given Bruce's politics; "capitalism for me , Marxism for you."

To me, a very bland Springsteen tune.
