Why so much criticism? We don't put curry leaves, we use this and that fish, we don't add coconut milk.
Its her recipe and she must have tried to give her own twist. Let's appreciate that instead of criticizing!

Ambot tik is red in color n very spicy n tangy. The word Ambot means tangy n Tik means spicy. It doesn't contain coconut n coriander seeds n is ground in vinegar. This is just a Goan prawn curry recipe. Pls change the title coz people will confuse the actual Goan Ambot tik to a normal prawn curry.

What you are telling is Christian style prawn curry which is orange/red in colour and does have vinegar.but coconut is a must for goan curry only the thing is we don't use curry leaves.its her own style of making the goan curry.

@@sankalphaldankar2628 The curry is definitely a Goan style that is mouth watering to look, but is not Ambotik. Ambotik is read in colour and this clear orange.

This is a beautiful mouth watering recipe. This lady has a her own take on Goan prawn curry. Only thing to point out, is it an everyday Goan curry (that you would add prawns, ladies finger or whichever fish you got at the market), it however is not an ambotik.

Good one! You could also add bhindi n call it sungta bhendya kodi . Ambot tik is different as pointed out by many already. Your prawns dangar recipe is my favourite.

It was cooked exactly as shown in video but we had following difficulties. Paste smoothness and colour did not match. Taste was good but not appearance. We therefore decided using Dabur make coconut paste (instead of freshly grated coconut), Kashmiri Chilli powder ( instead of dry red chilli), readymade Coriander & Cumin seeds powder (instead of seeds), paste of onion and tomato (instead of small cut pieces). Smoothness and colour will be beautiful. Your comments please.
