"Fool! If you turned your back on something you wanted, you don't deserve to call yourself Greed!" Hands down my favorite moment of this episode! Greed holding Bido and crying in anguish and agony at the realization of what he did was just heartbreaking.
Don't know if you noticed it, Ed literally held the dude up high when he was choking him which showed Ed's height went up. That's why he broke the stick, when he was called short. And in the pov, you could see Ed's height matching the officer. These small details are really impressive
Yeah, for some reason I didn't realise it, and was just looking in shock when I saw him being taller than Winry. On second watch I do see that the creators made him taller and taller, but they did it so well, that you wouldn't realise it :D
Bido may have been done dirty, but his death wasn't narratologically meaningless either (as I'm sure you're aware) -- death as a catalyst for another character's progression or regression is certainly valid, and I enjoy the way Bido's served to remind Greed of where he stands after having lost himself. It definitely kicks him off down quite the new path~
If you think about it, Alphonse has twice as much time to think about everything. His situation, his emotions. This is good and bad. Probably why he is so sweet. He doesn’t spend time sleeping or eating or on himself, so I imagine he just spends inordinate amounts of time thinking and studying. It speaks to Ed’s talent as well that he can even keep up with Alphonse.
Funny thing about Winry being a bit of a hypocrite in this episode, calling Ed a jerk and not being nice for telling Rose 'to stand on your own 2 feet', however that's exactly what she told Paninya the pickpocket back in episode 11.
Just wanna say I appreciate these videos so much man. It really makes my Sundays so much better. Been real busy lately but glad to make time for this video. Worth it every time
I don’t personally think that Bradley’s contradicting himself necessarily. Unlike the other homonculi, he was made FROM a human, he a human first and foremost I would say, so he doesn’t really have the same outlook on things compared to say, Pride or Lust (Envy and Greed are a whole other discussion completely lol) Despite being a homonculus, Bradley feels a lot more human than even some other humans. He enjoys small bouts of liberty like being able to choose his wife like you stated, and he feels like a king despite just obeying ordering because he IS, but just within the small boundaries that father set for him. Most of the homonculi are very well developed but Bradley’s definitely up there
Hey Cast, I just finished your Arcane series and really enjoyed your in-depth analysis on the plot and the various going-on's. Have you seen Avatar: The Last Airbender? I would love to see your reaction to that series as it's one of the best animated series out there. Cheers!
New editing format coming starting next episode that should remove the overlay :) Hopefully will be much higher quality.
Nah don’t worry, I still obstruct the video, I just think it looks a bit more professional than a png overlay lol
Litle detail, that maybe unconsciously, but Ed started to wear his hair the same way as Hohenheim.

THAT FINAL SCENE BETWEEN GREED AND LING IS PEAK
Ed has such great chemistry with Darius and Heinkel, I always love the finger guns in that situation

You can even see greed is holding him as he screams at the end...the mistake hes made now realized.

There are so many parallels between characters in this show and you always key in on them and it makes your reactions such a treat to watch.

Homunculus kills his lizard chimera friend, he instantly regrets it.
Crl Giuseppe do amino?
Fun little detail that I'm sure others have pointed out. Ed has been slowly growing taller through the series, but it's never really mentioned.
Al is a great example of a cinnamon roll who can also be tough and resolute. Also, I just noticed All Might in the thumbnail 😂
"Fool! If you turned your back on something you wanted, you don't deserve to call yourself Greed!" Jeeeesus. Ling is a fucking Chad

Very nice to hear, thanks for taking the time to watch!
1:54 truer words have never been spoken
So true 😌
I really liked seeing Al talk to Hoenheim since it feels like most of the Hoenheim interactions have related to Ed
yeah, the end with ling lecturing greed always gives me chills. it's so good
Well, it turns out lizard-man was pretty crucial after all. But sadly, only through his death awakening Greed's memories.
F for Bido.
6:25 in a cosmic sort way of yes
Yup.
You're right. Lust was built different. Lmao.

I was confused by the thumbnail and I thought almight had appeared in this anime💀💀💀
yes i'm stupid 😪🤤
I wish FMA went on longer just so we could see Bradley more.
Damn, I love so much this and the next ep. Greed is such an interesting character ^^
