If jon does pick from those 4, it’s got to be the msx. I have a sneaky feeling he might hold fire for the ninebot z10 I’d certainly be interested to see jon’s compare his chosen wheel to the z10
Either the V10 or the MsuperX. The V10 came out to an early lead and the handle takes some getting used to, but it seemed like he was softening up to it by the end. The MSX on the other hand is expensive, but it has the benefit of familiarity in the design, and the build quality of his previous wheel made an impression. I could be totally wrong of course.
I did upgrade from the Ninebot One E+ to the Kingsong 16s and have been very happy. 1000+ miles on it and no complaints so far. Faster, further, more stable. In fairness, haven't ridden any of the larger wheels so can't compare. Good review of a variety of popular wheels. Thank you! Jon seems to be leaning toward the V10.
I've not needed to replace the tire. Still shows really good tread so it will be a while. I guess I assumed that you could use regular 16" bike tires when needed.
I'm with you on the 16S....the others are too big and heavy... I basically want a faster more powerful 9bot1 e plus. Nah dude you didn't make a mistake , the 16 S is a awesome machine, light , nimble, powerful all in a small package and a good price! The 16S rocks...enjoy it!
V10. I have a V8 and also have used it commuting into London by train. Ease of getting on and off public transport is key. Also the reason I have a Zoom Stryder and Etwow GT scooters and not something heavier.
I think he's either going with the Inmotion for the better price-quality relation or with the MSuper for power and because he's already familiar with a wheel like this
Msuper X. It is the most powerful, and the most powerful device for a cautious rider is the safest one. KS 18L has an unreliable stationary handle. I choose between MSX and ACM2. MSX (1600wh) is worth £1,571.42
Not to do with the video, well much anyways. However, since the video has so many comments compared to most other EUC videos I have been able to find.... I've recently been doing a lot of research into EUCs and I'm soon to make my first purchase. 2 issues of concern. A) I busted my knee up years ago, required surgery. I have no issues standing for 12 hours, however, I'm wondering if this might agitate the old injury? B)I'm highly concerned with buying something I might outgrow too quickly but I also don't want to spend $1500+ dollars and beat something new up too badly from learning to ride. Any advice?
Mathew Cowger knee - hard to say, it’s going to be better than running for example as there is a pneumatic tire and your shoes prior to knee, and if you are bending whilst riding this might further reduce force. As for spending money, get yourself an E+ (www.speedyfeet.co.uk/collections/electric-unicycle/products/ninebot-one-e-gen2-single-wheel-transporter-35km-range), it’s a brilliant all rounder and won’t cost the earth :)
The obvious choice for John......MSUPERX! Yes, it is a bit more in price, but you always get what you pay for in this situation. Nothing else really compares when you look at what is put "under the hood".
I think Jonathon will get the MSuperX. Most comfortable ride in my opinion. Large tire. Most like what Jon already has an loves in the Msuper. Remember, you can always get the 1300wh version if price is a factor.
From John to Jon, from the US to The UK, from my choice to yours, The choice for this John is the MSX which arrives this friday So with power of suggestion, that Jon will pick the MSX
riding V10F as well as the MSX, to me the are both amazing if that's it, I know owners usually prefer their own wheel but in the end of the day I would pick the MSX, it just simply have got advantages over the V10 that I cannot ignore. The V10F feels so very grown up for having the smaller wheel and this is a good thing imho, my old 16" wheels not ridden anymore feels to small and flimsy for me. As´a commuter wheel or specific trips where in need of the smaller wheel sure I pick it, otherwise not. The controller board, software and hub motor of the MSX is so sweet, whispering quiet and load and loads of power, you can ride at the V10F top speed and then just lean and take off like a mad man if you want and I had incidents in traffic where it saved me to consider that before speaking back about safety, braking is not always the right solution even though the brain is hardwired to think like that. The high tire wall I believe makes this the smoothest most comfy wheel one can buy today, to power a strong motor the 6p batt solution just have an edge and backed up bu 1600Wh this think just go and go when others charge. It is not a 14-16" wheel this is true and notice that, but still amazing how easy it is to work around that and manipulate it tight spaces and low speeds, at mid to high speed there is no one that can put this wheel to shame, it's just a luxury cruiser, some autobahn speed cruiser in roomy leather seats and the first wheel I can take a bump with at speed and still not get scared half dead to fall of and brake my bones, so incredibly stable, smooth but still able to do the 16" market tasks without being put to shame. As great as the Inmotion is, this is just simply better, Ian is a great guy and can afford the extra for good service go for it, me I cannot and lucky for me there is China sellers who absolutely can be trusted and will shave a huge portion off, MSX on Ali is now down to under €1660, there is no beating that
First I'd like to say, the Royal forest is amazing and beautiful. As far as jon's selection goes. due to computing iI will go with the KS 16S. For off road. the MSuper X. The handle lift feature on the KS 18L can be turned off. he didn't mention how he felt off road i think with the KS 18L. i will go with the KS 16S. i am learning on this model and it's very nice in close quarters.
Thats not on the list of wheels Jon wanted. They were group into this. There are loads of other wheels out there as well which could have been included, but this was the group he wanted to choose from.
Wow....I was looking at Ninebot Z10....MSX and 18L. I don't need crazy speed...I already have KS 14s...was looking at Ninebot....the weight and no handle worries me...waiting for next Episode.
As others have said, it might be an idea to wait a few months and try the Z10. Reviews have been positive for it and it looks immense. Choosing now could mean regret if/when the Z10 comes out and is tried. I'm tempted to sell my ACM 2 when the Z10 comes out - depending on Ian's initial opinion in his first review video.
I think any of the three wheels besides the MSX is suited for his commute situation. I picked the MSX because in my commute situation, speed is safety.
Point of correction: the KS18L is much more nicely put together than the Msuper X. The KS18L is also the most comfortable to ride. Best trolley handle by far.
To each his own BUT! He needs 1 for urban commute and there r gonna be pedestrians and trains and more obstacles and he will be carrying often. He needs 1 that is maneuverable and agile and responsive and he doesn't do stunts and jumps although occasionally he will go off terrain. We'll Jon, there is only 1 suitable for you and I know what that is...... Stay tune for Epi2! J/k. I think the v10 will suit you well. The 2.5 inch width tires for both urban and off terrain in case, and the slim design and shut off pick up feature, we'll you gonna pick it up often. The ks16s comes close 2nd though if not for the 2.2 inch tire. I keep saying, make all 16 to 18 tires 3inches wide, that's the sweet spot! Oh and a tip if u choose to pick up the ks16s, like me, you will master how not to spin it in mid air *winks* I will tell you in episode 2 if you already haven't figure it out.
I think he’s leaning towards the V10. Maybe he wouldn’t even think about the MSX if it would have been the V10F he had tried. Great video! I’m about to make the same decision while upgrading from the V8. I’ve so far been leaning towards the 18L, but that doesn’t seem to have impressed Jon at all. I wonder why. Any comments, Jon?
I had to make a choice based on the wheels I had to play with on the day. The 18L was a bit temperamental to be honest. Many ways of doing it, but have to choose one, and that was the most neutral. Think u can adjust the foot angle on the msuperx
It will be the V10, I think.
To get the lift feature working correctly u will have to update it to the latest firmware and also recalibrate the lift senser.
On the latest firmware (video coming out on the KS18L, hopefully will all be edited by next week)
