Hey Sean, Nice work. Just wondering if you need to separate the Transmission from the engine to drop the Oil Pan on a 1973 360/A727 B100 or can you wiggle the Pan out of that (tight) area ?
@@seanfattireguythomas2994 Not practical since the Van is my daily driver. Pulling the engine is a lot of work to check the Oil Pickup and Pump, but if something must be done, I'd rather separate the Trans at this stage.
What cross member the engine is held in by a kmember they all should be bolted but with vehicles that are 40 plus years old there’s no telling what someone has modified in that time
I did a 1976 B400 and own a 1974 B300. The K frame has 4 bolts on each side of the bottom of the coil spring just like the gentleman explains in the video. Only way to get the engine out. I tried everything to get the 76 out the top and there is just no room for a hoist/cherry picker to clear the fire wall enough. This video is an excellent spot on tutorial that I wish I saw prior to working on my donor 76 Vega motorhome. The 74 is a sportsman. I did not use a lift. I did it on the ground by lifting the truck with a tow truck boom. A lift would have been a lot easier lol.
Love what cha doing!
Awesome video, full of great information!! Power to you on the muscle van, I built a ‘78 with a 360 4 barrel carb!!
Great video! Where did you purchase the front spoiler? Thanx pj
It was a new old stock from eBay

I have a 1977 Datsun 620 lowrider back in the early 90s that same color.
Is a coil spring the same as a coal spring?
What size front tires and wheels fit the front of the 77 disc brake without rubbing the caliper? I'm having a problem sizing it. Thanks.
Tommy Hunter vanther I’m running 15x7” I don’t know the back space on theme back has 15x11 the suspension is a stock B200
That's one way I have pulled a engine out of a 70's Dodge van by the passenger side door just removed the seat and pull it up and out
I believe the 80s Van's r the same way
How much would it cost to replace a engine in one?
Eli Percey it depends probably over a thousand dollars starting out
