Its been overpowered this whole witchqueen season. Bungie nerfed the storm grenades but instead they should have nerfed this exotic from the start
It shows in the strand trailer that warlock actually does have three separate melee charges which is awesome.
I'm so pissed off. Every nerf for Titan stuff just reads as "fixed a bug where Titans were found to be viable". It doesn't break a damn thing to get my abilities back faster than other classes when the freaking Hunter gets their melee back if they time it right.

If you're going to "nerf" something, could you just "balance" it? I can accept the CD change if they kept the 10 sec duration and a stronger increase to the empowerment? Could you at lest buff ANY of the worthless exotics?

Destiny 2 team tweeted: "It's currently noted in the patch notes that Claws of Ahamkara will not provide an additional melee charge when equipped to a Strand subclass. This is a bug that we are planning to fix in S21 and allow Warlocks to gain an extra charge for their Strand melees."

brother heart of innermost is the most used exotic because the majority of titan exotics are trash and have been nerfed into the ground or power crept to hell and back. If this new strand subclass sucks I might be retiring my titan until something changes because this is getting ridiculous I originally picked titan because I liked the idea of a juggernaut or tank character but anymore a warlock with a well and an exotic already makes a better tank than a titan...
Want a neutral warlock exotic? just use Eye of another world. since t10 stats are now t8 for the cooldown reduction, this exotic will help u have good ability uptime and AE is good on strand since we grapple and might shoot alot while airborne.
that's the exotic I'm gonna run for the campaign, since I want to play Strand right away, that ~35% cooldown reduction should be nice

It’s because the Titan’s gameplay is the exact same as it has been so there is nothing flashy about it.
I find it funny any time titans get a even slightly broken exotic it gets nerfed... this is why I'm thinking of switching to warlock.

Synthoceps and tractor cannon is OG Titan exotic combo. Used Ceps, plus judgment Glaive in void melee build for 90% of season. So excited to try a strand version.

I'm planning on using the battle harmony 20% damage buff while super is full to matching weapon of subclass type,and super energy on kills. If you run font of might , high energy fire ,and have a friend to make you radiant plus like surrounded or something on a strand shotgun , hand cannon ,or any dps boosting weapon perk . You'll be doing some pretty solid numbers
Stareater Scales might also be good on the hunter. With orbs looking to be more plentiful it could be a decent pick.

they good but unless strand comes with a one hit attack as an addon for hunters its not worth it.
for everyone's reference the warlock melee works like the titan's its three separate charges: during gameplay footage we see the warlock use one melee and it only uses one charge which then starts recharging
For warlock I feel like necrotic grips will be a lot of fun with strand

I’m prob going to be doing a woven mail build with the hunter because of the hunter exotic because if you grapple and it gives woven mail then I’ll probably make a big grenade recharge for it
yea especially with resilience nerf and the fact that gms are getting harder

11:12 can confirm it works with other classes. I used it on my solar build all season of Sarph. It was awesome if you bind your charged melee. So in a panic, it would pop off close up.
Something ive been thinking as a titan js using Kepri's Horn (blasts a solar termite nade when using barricade) with the strand blast thingie. Most likely will be hilarious in crucible

Am I the only one who thought about The Stag exotic... To have more rifts? You will probably be on critical health in the legendary campaign. So you will get instantly full rift energy when you are on critical health. This video is all about melee and grenade builds.

Nah, Vesper of Radius might be the Play. Especially since you get more Rifts without having to go critical for it.

For the exotics that need matching damage remember you are not just limited to strand weapons. Osmosis weapons will also be very helpful. For example I've got a few weapon types with osmosis/adrenalin junkie. They should work work really well with Verity's Brow.
I'm planning on making a Threadling warlock build with Quicksilver storm + catalyst (qss grenade kills spawn tangles) and the new exotic warlock legs they showcased (shooting tangles spawns threadlings) here's hoping the fragments and aspects work out to make that stupid and fun, as that's really all I care about but if it happens to be strong in pve I'd love that too
there's also the seasonal mods that will make that build even better this season like:
Untangler - Destroying a Tangle with a Strand weapon suspends targets damaged by the explosion.
Allied Unraveling - Rapid final blows with a Strand weapon grant your weapon Unraveling Rounds, with a longer duration near allies.
Stranded Reach - Destroying a Tangle with a Strand weapon creates a larger and more damaging explosion.
Good luck in a GM you’re going to get fucked. Make sure you have your star fire build ready to go.
I want to use Apotheosis Veil so that I can cast rift, consume threadling grenade, cast super, consume threadling grenade and then when I get to the enemies I cast my rift and have an army tear through everything.

I never really used how much Mo sliced chest piece but some of the other Titan exotics he mentioned I used I'm more of a warlock so and I do have battle Harmony so I will be using that a lot more

The warlock melee is 3 charges like titan the chaining effect is just the speed at which you can use those charges back to back and once they update claws it will give you a 4th charge
Another thing I'm thinking about is how the Titan class is lacking end game placement. It's either bubble or get out these days, and after they nerfed HOIL now that's even more the case. Roaming supers are just not great for raid or GM settings.
No they are not. Roam supers are ad clear. So what do titans have for endgame??
@@jamesjohn8740 now it's bubble or nothing but even that isn't as good of an option as Well of Radiance because in well you are being healed constantly and can shoot from within. Titans have no place in endgame.

Idk if this is true but I saw a screenshot of a Hunter using a kindled orchid hand cannon. Is it known what the batch of craftable weapons we are getting with the seasonal and lightfall weapons are yet? If not, this is pretty exciting if we are getting a re-release of the forge weapons.

I had the same idea for apotheosis veil last night before downtime lmao. My guardian is wearing it right now and will be at least trying to use it at launch
For my warlock I’ll probably just use eye of another world until I get the legs that spawns threadlings when you shoot a tangle.
Another Titan option is Khepri's Horn. I assume this one is also very low on the usage charts. Having a Barricade that can shoot a cc wave and a second one that does damage should be pretty good. Also the secondary perk for it makes solar weapon kills give around 25% barricade energy allowing for more cc and damage, especially with a weapon such as Calus Mini-tool.

Food for thought question... isnt Titan getting 3 charges to their melee attack? If each charge activates inner most light exotic.. might still be worth it and a great reason they hit it with a Ghallhorn Nerf Missle..
It was def part of it. You could have popped your barricade, throw your juiced grenade, then go nuts with a triple melee that’s 2x juiced.

Something like the Apotheosis Veil's super/recharge is the Travelers Chosen sidearm...10 kills and reload all your abilities. This will be good with any build, plus its also Kinetic.

I refuse to use Apothiosis Veil I don't care how good it is, that doesn't make it not ugly.
I completely missed the update to the Bombardiers boots to have effects based on class. Definitely gonna dust that off tomorrow.

What’s sad that when comparing heart of inmost light to other Titan exotics in its nerfed state, it’s still going to be marginally more useful than most exotics with a exceptions I know they’re going to nerf later when they see a surge in usage.

I use the assasins cowl on my void hunter its really good.also gyrfalcons seems to be even stronger in lightfall( obviously not strand)

Since the strand grappling hook is tied to the grenade charge I wonder if armamentarium will give you two hook charges?
It should since one of the Hunter Aspects gives a 2nd grenade charge along with some grapple benefits.
I always use crest of alpha lupi with my titan because I can heal whenever I want.

90% of titan mains, including myself, will likely be dumping their titans this year. Not only is the stand subclass garbage, but the only exotic worth using is now worthless. Guess I'll be playing warlock from now on.

Yeah, really hoping the dart has good damage for pve so it’s useful in endgame
If you read the note again, it doesn't effect grenades/melee regen,
- reduced empowered timer from 10s > 5s
- CLASS ABILITY regen decreased from +150% (x1) and +188%(x2) to +25% (x1) and +50% (x2)
The change is done to reduce x2 empowerments, not nerf grenades and melees, damage is supposedly untouched
I’m proly one of the few who has always used armentariun chest piece instead of heart inmost light. I would use the chest piece with vortex grenades with weaken effect and make viotile rounds for my void weapons. Always been a very good build and u could use it for arc with storm or pulse grenades. If u run 100 discipline like me your gonna always have a grenade

I’ve been running only Titan since the D1 beta, switching to hunter because I’m sick of getting the shaft. Even though I have no hunter exotics, raid and dungeon armor. Sucks completely starting over but I’ve had enough
Crest of Alpha Lupi is probably the most 'conerstone' exotic for titans. Great for beginners and the more cautious veterans.
edit: until we see what the build system looks like tomorrow, the best we can do is arrange the strongest synergies between exotic armor effects and exotic weapon effects.
SN: I would like to see a Darkness version of exotic weapons like Hard Light and Borealis.
A weapon that rotates between, Stasis, Strand and whatever the last darkness damage type may be. (Blight would work..)

My alternative to using HoIL is to play hunter, worked well for a couple seasons now and the abilities feel stronger anyway.

Everyone new heart of inmost light was gonna get a nerf. It just hurts that not only did it get nerfed this hard bungie isn’t buffing anything else to offer an alternative. Mask of the quiet one, hallow fire heart, point contact canon brace, eternal warrior, icefall mantle, acd/0 feedback fence, severance enclosure, mk 44 standasides, khepris horn, second chance, and Phoenix cradle are all mediocre exotics that haven’t been touched in ages and are still somewhat underwhelming to very underwhelming and not one buff to any of them. This along with strand Titan looking as samey as the other Titan subclasses and bungie really has been giving titans the FATTEST of L’s back to back and at this point it just hurts man.
Ophidia Spathe is also good for hunter if strand doesnt senergize with dodging specifically. An additonal melee means more dmg and more times to proc strand oriented effects
Ophidia only gives an extra throwing knife
I’ll probably continue maining A-Cowl and Frostees as a Hunter.

You don't even need strand weapons for exotic armour that buffs strand weapons or gives super for strand kills.
Just equip weapons with Osmosis and chuck a grenade. If your grenade cool down sucks, use Travellers Chosen if it's got the catalyst. That makes it an Osmosis weapon plus it gives ability energy back. Infinite loop.
